Buy and install a better antenna that has booster. You will get more channels. Otherwise you will have to be patient until when the signals are increased by the service provider.

I'm Receiving 36 channels.
My signal strenght is 50 and signal Quality is between 54 and 74 most of the channels freeze from time to time

well so i have found out. ]

see he issue is not with the startimes but with the signal strength. i also had this issue. infact i was getting no channels. i put in a disused antenna (does'nt work) and i recieved 18 channels.

i later took it to anor location and recieved 36 with just the internal antenna so im pretty sure that its the signal strength/quality that matters. the koko is to get a stronger signal with an external antenna.

my own issue is where to get a very good one and not the crap all these eastern boiz sell in roadside electronic shops.


heard startimes also has some antenna, but i dont know how good or how much, keep hearing different sums, guess greed has become a factor for agents and resellers

get an external antenna with indoor booster with rotation botton option to allow for rotation of the external unit. let the external unit be well above your house roof and well exposed to the sky.

am in a bungalow at agbado axis and my reception has been good.

I bought a new startime decoder but I couldnt pick a channel because their is no signal @all.

I reside around agbado Ijaye before getting to Kola b/stop.

The damn startime repeating movies 5 times a week and pissing me off like never before and which I could kick one of their staff ass cos I am sick of complaining and I am only getting 33 channels, what the hell the startimes doing, they are pissing me off badly

You have a right to complain but 33 stations for only 1k per month is ok. The bad thing is the repetition of movies. I have startimes but I rely more on FTA with my 9x.

Beside their company claims 41 channels, I got 33, repeating same movies which is worst, even 100 naira subcribtion shouldn't be repeating movies not to talk of 1000 naira, so Mind your speech because U no dey feed me and you no dey help me pay my fees and bills.Ajebuta oshi

make una no fight ooooooooooooooooooooooooo, if u need beta SATELITE dish u can go for dstv packages or track NiteSat which most startimes stations are there and u wont even pay 1kobo as its FTA

do not expect much from startimes, as u know 9ja no too dey give better services when u are charged less.

@keri. Relax. Money is not easy to come by, besides most of d channels on startimes are free to air FTA. They dont pay for the channels giving to us onlike dstv and co. All they do is to rebroadcast it. Things will be clearer come 2012 when digital broadcasting shall commence.

People like u naim be the problem nigeria get, if you know know the solution e better to keep quiet. Them advertise 40/1 channels and now na only 33 channels. You know know say na original 419 be dat? For well organised countries u no go fit come advertise say 1 mudu of elubo na N100 then bring measurement wey no reach mudu for N100. If you do am for first time u go refund people and dem fit take am say na mistake, but if you repeat am again na criminal offence.
