Did the event really happen

Was the stories real

An event has to be real before you consider the possibility of misinterpretation.

Do you think it's real cuz i DONT.

An event maybe real but you apparently dismissed it for reasons one of which is a possible misrepresentation.

Let me still open your mind to see my thought in another perspective.

If your great grand father told you that he met a white man that had the ability and manipulated a metallic box to talk like a human being, would you dismiss this story as BULLSHIT?

Of course, your great grand father must have misrepresented a 'radio' to be the metallic box that the white man manipulated (turned on) from his inexperience and ignorance (I mean no disrespect). Now that's a big possibility, and it takes open mindedness to understand it that way.

Example 5:Now two boys were seen walking down a dark forest the one who looks older called Tim while the one who looks younger called Jill it seems they were having a conversation

Jill - "I'm scared the shadow people are waiting down there at the end of the forest"

Tim- "Hahahaha there are no such things as Shadow people"

Jill- "They are real, Bob and James have seen one of them"

Tim- "Look shadow people are just a myth, It has evolved as Grim reaper heck it even appeared in Harry Potter as dementors see it's not real"

Jill- "And hhoww are you sure the Grim reaper, dementors are not real maybe they are and they are just invisible"

Tim- "Look it's not real alright"

Jill- "Can you prove it's not real"

Tim- "Haaa prove it's real, anyone can say anything is real because it's invisible, your stupid for believing something like that.........(To cut the long story short Tim kept insulting and arguing with Jill throughout the rest of the journey)

Given these two brothers who would you call deluded?

The one that is scared of something he was told or the other brother who instead of proving his faith by walking bravely into the dark prefers to waste words arguing?

Your story doesn't prove who was correct or wrong. I recall that a deluded fellow is the one who sticks to his beliefs even in the face of contrary evidence.

Delusion is the act of making yourself believe something that you don't think is true

Okay
So who in your story did not think something was true but went ahead to believe in it?

I don't know Actions speak louder than words, let me just ask if it were up to you won't you find it a bit relaxing when someone just ignores you and bravely moves ahea

gringringrin
So you're saying i should believe that a snake can talk and a snake can swallow 36m.

WHY

Because it could be a misterpretation from those that told the stories.

Okay
But which bible story is a misinterpretation and which one is not

Have you found any reasonable interpretation ever since you started believing some bible fairytales

Well, there's something about what we call truth as humans; it's a function of 'our reality' which is somewhat relative and appeals to our senses.

I wish I had the time to investigate the Bible stories critically from the original Greek and Hebrew manuscripts (business and laziness). Misrepresentations could arise from the manuscripts and/or the translated English versions, so it's a long walk. I'm mostly indifferent and unconcerned.

I'm neither asking you to believe as truth nor dismiss as falsity. Rather it may be better to understand 'why' the stories are. We probably can't know the entire truth in our limited lifetime.

Talking about the Bible stories, they're ridiculous but why would ancient men compose these outrageous stories did they really see some of these things?

I'd have to grab a bible to look at those stories again. I haven't opened one in ages,
I don't own one smiley

Was going to say, "unless source was added after the fact", but figured I'd be set straight soon enough. Thanks.

I so much like this. This does justice to all the religious delusions we are all surrounded with. A Christain will look at a muslim and mock him for believing in many absurdities of Islam, Muslims also look at christians and mock their ridiculous beliefs. What both of them fail to understand is that they can both be wrong. They were raised to believe that other people's absurdities are truly absurd but theirs is divine.

Religions and it's endless bubbles of delusion.
