In Today's service in daystar, Pastor Sam Adeyemi shared his view on tithe, he says that tithe as paid in the old Testament as a law with curses attached has expired, and no Christian should be pressured or forced to pay tithe, he also said that not paying tithe does not attract a curse for a Christian, since we are under a new covenant, he however stated that giving is a choice, everyone should decide the percentage they want to pay with the knowledge that you will be blessed based on how you give. Thank God for making them see the truth...

It grieves me hearing people proclaim that the blessings of God is for tithers and givers.

Even at that his position is not totally correct

Tithingis NOT NECESSARY ANYMORE AND OBSOLETE and is no longer supposed to be taught as either compulsory or not mandatory since the works of the law have been nailed to the cross. Whether or not it precedes the law is not the issue.

Of course you won't see the 10% crew swearing that they will continue to pay even if pastor gambles with their money

The folly of most Pentecostal Christians is downright nauseating

The funny thing is that, it is impossible to tithe the way God expects one to do it. And sadly, the Pastorpreneurs have been teaching this false doctrine of obligatory monetary tithing. Whereas, tithing was never paid monetarily.

Even more sad, is the ignorance of Christians who have their Bibles right in front of them, but will still swallow everything "Daddy" or "Papa" says...without researching the scriptures and asking the Holy Spirit to guide them...

Ignorance is bound to occur when the Truth is substituted for religion...

Tithing is for those who wants to practice Judaism...

Stop looking down on the intelligence of Nigerians. If we weren't intelligent, yahoo boys won't be successfully duping Americans and Europeans of thousands of dollars online.

In the context of our prevailing economic conditions as a nation it is clear that prosperity messages would easily fly in Naija than in the US. Yet Copeland preaches prosperity in a country that is prosperous and is accepted by his 13,000 congregation. Of course Oyedepo must have even preached prosperity or tithing in Copeland's american church yet they didn't reject it. So what are you saying?

Your comparison is unnecessary. In my first comment, I was of the opinion that Adeyemi could lose learned members of his church if he didn't preach correct doctrine on tithe.

That doesn't stop people from accepting Copeland's preaching. Does it? What's your point specifically?

You think there are no dumb people or hopeless people in the US that needs hope and prosperity preaching to feel better? You think everyone is doing very well financially the United States? You'd be very wrong!!

99.9 per cent of jet flying nigerian pastors would never keep moderate view on money like this rather go radical for selfish gains.
