The truth is even in Israel today they don't pay Tithes. Why? Because the Levitical institution don't exist no more who ought to collect it. No more Tribe of Levi. This tribe don't do any business except the alter business.
Not so for our modern tithe mongers in our churches. They have several businesses including book writing etc
And yet...
I share in ur view. Even hebrew 7 says it all

But both of us can read the Bible and still come out with different conclusions. Or you think these men didn't read the Bible before concluding? So, what exactly is the issue?

The issue is that everyone of us will answer INDIVIDUALLY for our time here on earth. We will not be judged based on what a pastor said about a biblical issue, but by our own actions. Therefore, my action on an issue of controversy such as tithing (there are others, such as whether divorcing/remarrying = adultery, covering of hair/not covering of hair, wearing of trousers by women, etc) should be based on my own personal revelation by God on that issue, and not by what a pastor has said about it.

If you are waiting for all pastors to agree on this or for all Christians to agree on it or to get the same revelation about this issue, you are going to wait forever. Hope you now understand my standpoint, except of course you have come with a bias and cannot see such a standpoint.

Don't quote me sillily. There are laws only now embodied in Him. 'Honour your father and mother' is what? JESUS threw it out of the window? Don't quote me unless you have something worth talking about. angry angry You guys can keep hailing cowardly Sam who has bowed to belial Freeze. What a shame! Fearful generation of preachers. angry angry Tithe is a law!
It's you who is silly.

When you are in Christ you don't need anyone to tell you to honor your father and mother
The Holy Spirit will teach you all things

The Law was for the Jews only. Gentiles (foreigners) were not allowed to practice it. Christ's death and resurrection brought a grace that ensured right standing with him by not obeying the Law but believing and confessing him, especially if you were not a Jew.

Unfortunately you don't even know the Bible you blab up and down.

Christ is the fulfillment of the law, I.e you only have to believe in Christ to be in right standing with God. Whether you like it or not there is a change in the priesthood hence the law must be changed (go read your Hebrews 7).

I'm sure that this won't mean anything to a brain dead sheeple like you. When you are told the truth you bleat and follow those who feed you with lies

In Today's service in daystar, Pastor Sam Adeyemi shared his view on tithe, he says that tithe as paid in the old Testament as a law with curses attached has expired, and no Christian should be pressured or forced to pay tithe, he also said that not paying tithe does not attract a curse for a Christian, since we are under a new covenant, he however stated that giving is a choice, everyone should decide the percentage they want to pay with the knowledge that you will be blessed based on how you give. This has been my thought for a while now because of his depth of revelation concerning the scriptures. I know he preached a balance and well-rounded approach to prosperity and even rebuked some preachers with extreme messages on prosperity.
However, the word of God remains the final authority as we shouldn't accept any doctrine that is not validated by scriptures.

God help our generation

His word is yea and amen

Christians are followers of Jesus christ. They are not followers of Moses. Jesus never collected tithe nor pay tithe.

If you dont even know this simple basics. You are not a Christian and should go into Islam instead

The only giving that attracts any blessing is to the poor, not pastors.
The part of the new testament giving where the people were asked to give as they purposed in their hearts was for a specific purpose. Just like when the people gave towards the building of the temple, and when it was enough to do the work they were asked to stop.
When will.

But in our case today, we are deceived to give to projects that are not specific or bound by anything, that way one keeps giving to support the luxury lifestyle of pastors.

So daddy freeze is right all these while? I knew it when suileman , oyakhilome, adeboye and co couldn't give a bible quotation to back up their point. Well, Benny Hill has confessed and now pastor sam. Let's keep on watching and waiting for our super star pastors like oyedepo, kashimolowo or what of kicc and others to see what they have to say to all these confessions. Mostly those that insulted Freeze

Don't sweat out yourself trying to convince heretics. Sam is a coward! Many cowardly preachers will abandon some important principles of the Bible in order to be in the good books of end-time mockers and anti-christs. He is afraid to lose members. Tithe is a law! So it will remain till JESUS comes! I do not owe anyone an explanation! Believe it or go to the next church! Preachers of this generation have become very timid. What a shame!

Really And how many 'Bold' preachers of the Biblical past made demanding of tithes, as a means of divine blessings, a priority over the salvation of souls??!

Nob blieeverr in Christ Jesus is required to pay tithe....tithting is of the law and we as believers in Christ are no longer under the law.......Christians should only give money in church willingly and cheerfully with the aim of supporting the gospel....but Christians should only give the any about they decide freely in their heart to give..........I am hundred percent convinced that Christians are no longer required to pay tithe hence pastors should not compel members to pay tithe.....let Christians give to Gods work any amount they desire to give.......

The funny thing is that, it is impossible to tithe the way God expects one to do it. And sadly, the Pastorpreneurs have been teaching this false doctrine of obligatory monetary tithing. Whereas, tithing was never paid monetarily.

Even more sad, is the ignorance of Christians who have their Bibles right in front of them, but will still swallow everything "Daddy" or "Papa" says...without researching the scriptures and asking the Holy Spirit to guide them...

Ignorance is bound to occur when the Truth is substituted for religion...

Tithing is for those who wants to practice Judaism...

Let me ask you, was Jesus a Christian??

So as a Christian (follower of Christ) I see nothing wrong in continuing some old testament teachings.

When Jesus said He came to fulfill the Law and not abolish it....

What does that mean to you?

Are you still bound and obliged to obey the same laws He fulfilled?
