"He however stated that giving is a choice, everyone should decide the percentage they want to pay with the knowledge that you will be blessed based on how you give."

The above statement still makes him a thief. Tying God's blessings to how much you can give.

All these ole pastors.
Exactly

When you reduce God to a roulette wheel then there's no point listening on.
This Sam Adeyemi has never struck me as someone who is actually deep in the scriptures. He is more of a motivational speaker.

So I'm not surprised he's taking this sneaky position on a matter that is as clear as day

Some go even get more careless like. I pay my tithe, what the pastor do with it is non of my concern
What a christ like?

If you talk dem go say what a fool you are. Well as Paul will say then...Permitted me to speak as one who is witless. I think the death of graham is waking them all to certain realities. Like indeed what is the purpose of all this.

I shall not die! Well there you have it.

Tithing is a personal decision. So is your salvation.

Some believe in it, because they believe it works for them.

Some dont believe in it.

Everybody with their choices to make.

Nothing i hate more than religion.
All Religions are based on falsehood.
All are based on human philosophy.
I believe 1 day the world especially Africa, Nigera in particular will b liberated from religious shackles

TB Joshua, olukoya, adefarasin and adeyemi are all saying the same thing.....oyedepos and ashimol-OWOs Bible is telling us another

I stopped paying tithes since 2013......
One group is obviously lying
It is even possible that both groups are not being totally honest

Yet they are supposed to be the ones who Christ left us in their care.

I like pastors like this who say the truth and not those who believe in sentiments even though they know the truth. I like the way he puth it. " Tithe as in the old testament has expired" What more can anyone say? St Paul in the book of Heb. said that when there is a change in the priesthood, there must be a change in the law in order to suite the priesthood. He further said that when something is old, it has to be discarded. This cannot be further than the truth. Thanks Pastor Adeyemi for throwing light on the matter.

hmm. if he had supported the necessity of tithing, you would have castigated him. Your type can't be pleased. you need to work on yourself. It may affect you socially and otherwise.

I wasn't really castigating him; he had motives for his teaching, a likely one of which I highlighted. I commend his honesty on the subject by the way.

Don't sweat out yourself trying to convince heretics. Sam is a coward! Many cowardly preachers will abandon some important principles of the Bible in order to be in the good books of end-time mockers and anti-christs. He is afraid to lose members. Tithe is a law! So it will remain till JESUS comes! I do not owe anyone an explanation! Believe it or go to the next church! Preachers of this generation have become very timid. What a shame!

In Today's service in daystar, Pastor Sam Adeyemi shared his view on tithe, he says that tithe as paid in the old Testament as a law with curses attached has expired, and no Christian should be pressured or forced to pay tithe, he also said that not paying tithe does not attract a curse for a Christian, since we are under a new covenant, he however stated that giving is a choice, everyone should decide the percentage they want to pay with the knowledge that you will be blessed based on how you give. Yahoo is illegal.
If you decide to make yahoo a lifestyle, then be ready to face the law.
You do the crime, you pay the time.
There's no law against the religious beliefs of people, provided they're not committing a crime. You may not believe in tithing, but some people do.
You may not agree with it, but its their beliefs.
The same way i was telling someone on another Jehovah Witness thread about refusing transfusion. Its their belief, it may look evil to you, but its theirs. By law, there's no crime when you refuse a medical treatment such as transfusion. Your choice, your decision, your consequences.

There's no more law in the new testament, if you still live under the law, you also live under the curse of the law. Jesus Christ became a curse for us because cursed is anyone who's hanged on a tree. He took away the law and its curse on the cross. The righteousness we have is through Christ.

It shouldn't grieve you because it's the truth, particularly for financial blessings.

Being generous is the result of our union with Christ. Our union with Jesus brought us unfathomable blessings that your giving to the poor, paying of tithe and other good deed of ours cannot obtain.

We have been blessed with every spiritual blessing in heavenly places through our union with Christ. Do you believe this or you are still trying to buy God's blessing through your good deeds?

For people that spend time criticizing pastors, you guys should focus more on evangelizing to the unsaved.

The reason why people argue about tithing is because most people are self centered. First have a giving heart, until then if you like give your 6 months salary without a giving heart you have done it grudgingly, thus no return. Everything starts from the heart. You see beggar you give, you see the poor help them. Evangelize to the unsaved.

If you have a giving heart, nobody will convince you otherwise on giving.

Above all, do not criticize other Christians whatsoever, criticizing will not make us holier when we all meet God

This is the problem. Pastor this says this, pastor that says that...

If you want to know the truth about an issue, read the bible for yourself and ask God in prayer to give you a revelational understanding about the issue, not always relying on what this or that pastor said.

Search and know what God says about such controversial issues by yourself!
But both of us can read the Bible and still come out with different conclusions. Or you think these men didn't read the Bible before concluding? So, what exactly is the issue?

This is a milestone in Christiandom. A lifting of yoke and curse from the body of christ.
Great to see true servants of God rise above the material things and demands of the church and focus on the true interpretation of the God's Word concerning Tithing as ontained in the New testament established through Christ and his disciples.

Truth be told, DaddyFreeze actually shook the church to reality and woke Christians up by raising questions and challenging tithing.

That said, while tithes have been abolished, giving and contributing generously and cheerfully is encouraged. The best investment (besides one self) is in the church. But give cheerfully.
May God bless us and enrich us with more wisdom and true insights on His Word.
Kudos to Pastor Sam Adeyemi.
