grin grin grin grin Top detective work. You get full marks for effort. He's our guy by the way. I saw a lot of players pass through Awo, during my 4 year stay at Awo but Aguero was mesmerising in attack. He couldscore all type of goals, plays with both feet too. Proper player.
Yes o!!!!!!!!!!!! I be detector per excellence! grin. Did he play today? I did not see him play. Seems the coach decided to rest him.

I do not agree wit this. It depends on the content of the instruction. In football, it can be of 2 types; group specific instruction or player specific instruction. If the instruction is player specific, an instructor or any member of the coaching crew can communicate in any language he feels the recipient will understand it most and sink it well. If the instruction is group specific, it can be communicated in the lingual franca for uniformity. The fact that someone speaks a local dialect therefore should not be a problem.

I heard someone(a member of the coaching crew) speak in Yoruba to Olusegun, telling him "you do not need all those thngs you are doing". He said " o needi gbogbo iyen". I guess the message was for him to be more focused, calm and sharp in front of goal. In 2007, it was a delight to see some of our players communicate in Nigerian Pidgin.

Mehn, I saw what those guys were playing, so many wasted chances I swear, I can do better than most of them, Na just connection I no get. Even that tackle on Zito inside our 18yard box is pure penalty but the ref no blow. Zito too, dey play ball. Na my mate dey play so, #BabaGodAbegPickMyOwnCallNAh
Uncle that was not a penalty!
Yes, they were wasteful but they played some good football.
The defender got the ball and Zito decided to fly.
The Zito guy is a wonderful player though.

If Nigeria loses to Uganda and Angola has more goal difference ,Eaglet will automatically watch the World Cup on TV .
If we draw or win Uganda there will be no need to decipher the rules below:

CAF Tiebreakers rule
Teams are ranked according to points (3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw, 0 points for a loss), and if tied on points, the following tiebreaking criteria are applied, in the order given, to determine the rankings (Regulations Article 72):[4]

Points in head-to-head matches among tied teams;
Goal difference in head-to-head matches among tied teams;
Goals scored in head-to-head matches among tied teams;
If more than two teams are tied, and after applying all head-to-head criteria above, a subset of teams are still tied, all head-to-head criteria above are reapplied exclusively to this subset of teams;
Goal difference in all group matches;
Goals scored in all group matches;
Drawing of lots.

You're right no doubt and that is only true when that particular player he spoke to understands yoruba. But like I said earlier,
a non-yoruba player was with the ball when the coach gave an instruction so how can communication be effective in that instance.

Lool...I know one of those boys from about 5 years ago in school. He played for our hall and used to score lots of goals. We called him Aguero. Let's assume this guy is actually 19, at worst, are You saying he got admission to the university at 14?

He's a really good player, no doubt, and has even registered a goal in this tournament. But I'm very sure he's no U-17.
Lienus! Keep lying.
Those boys? From 5 years ago?

A non Yoruba player might be with the ball and still understand Yoruba perfectly even way more than English. An Igbo guy born and bred in Lagos with little or no much schooling will understand Yoruba and Nigerian pidgin way more than English.........if he spoke with a non- Yoruba guy in Yoruba language, then, he must really know that such player understands perfectly.

It is absolutely not possible that every single player in that team understands yoruba. I get your point but he general instructions in yoruba. It is not possible that they all understand it.

Majority of them are Lagosian. I was surprised when Oliseh spoke in Yoruba telling us how and where Yekini wanted the ball to be placed

Appreciate others first if you wants to be appreciated

Will you appreciate Buhari's performance so far as the best? It's not as if I won't appreciate their efforts but they really played bad and wasted most of the chances.

We should appreciate someone when they do good and also criticize them when their performance are bad so they can up their game. It is not everything we should appreciate.

Meaning?

I said we have not qualified, so it's either you agree or disagree with explanations so I will also know if I'm mistaken.

Though BBC sport Africa said both Cameroon and Nigeria are through ,but some combination of results can still knock us out.I pray our missed scoring chances won't haunt us.
