Thus, your argument is akin to calling a student a "failure" because ASUU went on strike and he couldn't complete his course. Businesses can only thrive in a healthy regulatory/economic environment - and sometimes the SMART move is to shutter operations. For example, NO rational person would consider the likes of Michellin and Dunlop as "failures" because they elected to exit Nigeria.

If he purchase crude oil like every other refiner in the world, he will spend a lot of money to transport that crude oil to Nigeria and after refining, he can't sell in Nigeria because of subsidies. We buy gasoline 145 per litre and the real cost of producing 1 litre of gasoline in west Africa is well over 200 naira.

He is building a pipeline to source crude oil directly from wells in the Niger Delta to the refinery. If he cannot sell it in Nigeria, he'd export it. However, there are rumours the government might subsidise his product or better still remove subsidy entirely, which is the best option.

LMAO. Where is the crude oil pipeline from Niger delta to Lagos? It's supposed to be over 90% complete because the project is now around 6 years old.

Let's see if FG will subsidize his products, that's if they will be able to stabilize the refinery by making sure 600k barrels gets there daily.

The BUA Group does NOT import cement. Its world-class plants at Obu/Okpella (Edo State) as well as Kalambaina (Sokoto) and the former CCNN Sokoto plant churns out enough cement that BUA is actually presently EXPORTING to our immediate Northern neighbors. And of course it is beyond ridiculous to even suggest that Dangote Cement with one of the world’s biggest plants in Obajana (Kogi) and the massive Ibeshe plant (Ogun) is importing cement.
