Just shut it. I wonder how your comment best that of most that commented before you. Also, I wonder how you know that most of them are not married while only you are supposedly married. People like you irritate me.

But, why did Pastor Chris let his marriage die? Can somebody who knows more about them explain the details to me?
What do you need it for?

Seriously she divorcing because he refused to protest it is an excuse for divorce?
No, but Spousal Neglect is a legal reason for divorce.

Have you noticed that Pastor Chris and Pastor Anita actually look alike? Are they related?

From her last statement she wrote "There's so much in this life to enjoy"
My dear nothing dey this lyf, singer Akon said "No need to cherish luxury cos everything comes and goes" so if you don't live your life for Jesus then it's a waste cos there's eternity, let's all live for it.
The biggest problem with you is your total lack of understanding.

This looks like a sign they would get back together soon. She said "I feel sad we are not together", it's a year of light where we take peace everywhere we go. I declare peace to this home in JESUS name, AMEN.

Even if the wife wasn't fantastic, couldn't he bear her and carry her as his cross? I know of a great man of God that the wife was unfaithful to. He caught her and as painful as it was, he forgave her for the sake of the ministry.
You are talking about Apostle Babalola of CAC right??

PS: Seun, can you please fix this bad gateway nonsense that often pops up when I want to comment on a post. It's sickening. This is 2019 for crying out loud. Nairaland should grow!!

You lie, Most of them have to idea what building and keeping a family is in the first place. Even these days, a lot of young men have this erroneous belief that all they need to have and keep a family is money. Don't get me wring, money is important but other things are equally important. They think once they bring in money their Wife has no reason to question them or complain of their unfulfilled needs.

even pastor has dis kind of attitude and later bounce on alter they preach 4 us.
It is better for preachers not to marry. You cannot be carrying 2 problems on your head.
Whatever you preach, your wife will come out and expose you a liar and cheat.
If you must be a preacher, just stay celibate.

Casting aspersions on the poor woman already. Is this how you blame 'your wife' everytime you fail to measure up?

Chris and Anita's case is what most pastors would preach against during minsterial/leadership trainings. 'A pastor who succeeds in his ministry but fails to hold his family together has failed in all'. He neglected the poor woman in the name of God's work and ended up turning the church against her after the divorce for 'being carnal' just because she raised concerns about her physical needs and how her husband has denied her.

And there is the case of Adultery - Anita accused Pastor Chris of having an extra marital affair with his secretary whom he spends time with the most. She blew hot and claimed she had proofs before reports of Church elders visited her to 'hear her side of the story' and everything died down.

I have always been a fan of Pastor Chris. As a matter of fact, I believe he is the best teacher of the Word ever to come out of Nigeria. But he failed. Couples have needs, mostly physical obligations to themselves. If he could believe the wife was 'carnal' for voicing her mind then I strongly pity every young, single believer who take counseling from a Church as Christ Embassy. Pastor Chris failed.

I'm married.
The man travelled because he has some fake ulterior motif that she knows he intends to deceive others. They emotionally went separate ways. He refused to change. And she refused to be carried along.

They got private jets to fly around the world. Yet complains of distant relationship. It funny how people think wealth is everything. I don't have much, my wife lives in PH, and I live in Ugep, yet we feel so close. It's not about the distant, it's the affection.

To be candid both of them have failed and they have no excuse for it.

Must be the sad reality of her marriage. She complained of abandonment as one of the reasons for her divorce.
Truth be told,Pastor Chris had become emotionally detached from her.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome’s ex-wife, Anita in a new blog post wrote about a couple who happy on the outside but are facing the reality of a dead marriage. According to Pastor Chris Oyakhilome’s ex-wife, a spouse who is at the center of a 'dead marriage', sometimes end up spending many years of endless hope in anticipation for a change, enduring a relationship that is bereft of life. Her blog post has been linked to what allegedly happened in her marriage.

Read what she wrote below;

Happy Anniversary to the best couple in the world

Wife : Hello

Husband: How are you?
Wife: I amgood. How is your day?
Husband : Good
Wife : Today is our anniversary. Happy Anniversary.
Husband : Happy anniversary.
Wife : I noticed many greetings on social media wishing us a happy anniversary. I find it confusing to read comments from your close friends saying “ best couple in the world”; it sounds like a complete joke, when they know we rarely see each other. We see each other at most ten days in a year; I can’t understand their reason for making this comment, such flattery. It is confusing to me.

Husband : Well, at least they sent their greetings.
Wife : Their greetings are on social media, no contact by text or by email.
Husband : Silence
Wife : Hello
Husband : Yes

Wife : I sometimes wonder if we are married. There is nothing more to this relationship to indicate we are married apart from a ring on my finger; the ring is another story and our pictures are interjected because we are rarely together to take a proper picture. I feel sad that we are not together.

Husband : Look, I have told you over and over again that we cannot live in the same country because we are very busy and one country is too small for both of us. I expect you should be able to figure that out.
Wife : One country is too small for us?

Husband : Yes and you keep coming back to ask the same question.
Wife : Okay. Since you don’t often call either, please call the children, at least once a month. They go on for months without speaking with you. I noticed they don’t seem to care anymore.

Husband : Okay
Wife : That is about all.
Husband : Silence (breathing sound)
Wife : Have a beautiful day.
Husband : Silence (breathing sound)
Wife : Bye
Husband : Silence (breathing sound)
Wife : Hello
Husband : Silence (Goes off the Phone)

Wife : Okay

Facing the reality of a dead marriage, where a spouse spends many years of endless hope in anticipation for a change, enduring a relationship that is bereft of life. Believe it or not, this was somebody’s experience and is another person’s state of affair.
There is so much in life to be enjoyed.

A preacher isn’t a regular husband, his time is greatly divided. If u marry one u have to understand that. However seeing only 10times a year with zero affection is a huge Concern.

Women love attention. If you are not ready to give it to them, please don't get married. Otherwise, it will be the same story. Let me also add comfort. Oh, they love comfort a lot. They are ready to cheat on their husband to get the comfort they need.

The worst thing that can happen to any one is to be in an enduring marriage, unfortunately some religious cabals will encourage their members to rather die in there than divorce.

Instead of this why not encourage communication and sensitivity to your partner's need and desire in marriage.

That conversation was just selfish, lack of understanding and outright irresponsible.

This is the beginning of divorce.

This may seem a hasty generalisation, but I would argue that most women, whose husbands are obviously physically more attractive than they are, end up harbouring some kinda grudge...why would that be?
