secondly, what is the place of the spoken word in spirituality? also the place of Tongues as in christianity? l'll like to get a hint of their impact on an individual. whether speaking in tongues is another attribute of soul.

spiritual discipline entails first, being very serious with your daily commitments with God. if you have set aside a time for doing your contemplations or spiritual exercises, you make sure you keep it.
secondly spiritual discipline involves keeping your thoughts, emotion, words and action focused on Godly things. you do not allow any negativity to penetrate your inner being.
thirdly spiritual discipline involves keeping the various laws of life and not breaking any of them. example you have the law of non-interference, where you do not interfere in another person's life, you give people their freedom to live their life the way they want to live it, failure to keep this law will create unnecessary hardships for you. you also have, the law of cause and effect , the law of love etc.

secondly, what is the place of the spoken word in spirituality? also the place of Tongues as in christianity? l'll like to get a hint of their impact on an individual. whether speaking in tongues is another attribute of soul.

the spoken word is a very potent factor of course in spirituality because it was through the sound that everything came into existence. when you speak you initiate the process of manifestation in the physical plane. that is why one has to be careful of his/her words. words can create or destroy and the speaker will take full responsibility for whatever his/her words causes.

in terms of speaking in tongue, it is also a sign of soul's awakening. it is one of the gifts of the holy spirit. spirit can speak all languages and when the Holy spirit is using someone as a channel it does matter whether the person can speak the language of another person he is sent to bring the message to.
the gift of speaking in tongues takes care of language barriers. that is why in the bible when the apostles received the Holy spirit they started speaking in tongues and everybody that was gathered heard the message in their own native language even though most of the apostles were unlearned people.
so this gift is strictly under the purview of the Holy Spirit and it is initiated when it is necessary in the spiritual growth of a soul. that means it is not every body that will speak in tongues just as it is not every body that can have the gift of Healing. you will get the gift that is more natural to your nature and that will not inhibit your spiritual growth but rather enhance it.

Emotions! how do they influence phenomina?

emotions are the bridge between the world of thought and the physical world. it is actually the fuel for manifestation. that is why you see that anything done with a lot of passion literally shines with a glow that all appreciates. but anything that is not done with passion is usually very dull and no one appreciates it. without emotions masterpieces can not be produced.

when two individuals come together out of attraction to each other, it is usually due to past karmic effects that brings it about. we have all been with each other before and this is not the first time we are meeting. that is why you have such phenomenon as love at first sight and that is why you find yourself strongly attracted to someone and you wonder why? the problem is that as we come into the physical plane, a curtain is drawn across our memories and we do not remember anymore until something triggers the memory.
when the individual comes together and become intimate with each other, a union takes place and they become one, spiritually. what that means is that their karmic load is brought together shaken up and then shared equally between two of them so bringing them to the same spiritual vibration so that they can be in harmony with each other. so true marriage is when you have physical sex with someone else and not when you exchange vows. the implication of this is if you are not sincere in your relationships with the opposite sex and continue having multiple sexual relationships
you will end up earning for your self a very large karmic load which can take lifetimes to work off.   
the advantage is if you have a sincere relationship with a woman that is spiritually inclined it can help to boost you spiritually. unfortunately such women are hard to find in today's world as most women today have become so materialistically minded. but they are available all the same and if you are sincere and ask the holy spirit you can be guided to the right woman for you.

, thanks, still about speaking in tongues, is it genuine even if the speaker doesn't understand what he/she is saying? sometimes l get tense and mutter words from deep down which l dont understand,

in church you are asked to speak out after you might have 'accepted christ' and as such expect the baptism of the Holy Spirit, thereby told to speak in 'other tongues'

For me it was just for formality at first. As time went on it started turning normal and maybe real!, perhaps l just got used to it: :/, l rarely do it now only when its so spontenous and deep--but l dont know what am saying!

i really do not want to hurt any one feelings that is why i left the explanation at that level. I am sorry to tell you that what is being practised in most churches today is far from what speaking in tongue is all about.

One of the spiritual laws of life is the law of economy. The holy spirit does not involve itself in frivolities and noise. Whatever action it partakes in is focused for a particular effect which is for the upliftment of soul.
Like i explained  earlier the gift of speaking in tongues is given to a soul who is a channel for  God so  that the soul would be able to communicate with anybody without any language barriers.
It is not something that you force. When you receive the gift, it will come very naturally without effort.

What you see being practised today is a farce. You can still pray and ask the holy spirit for more insight.

In my dreams l do stuffs l can call levitation; l cross electric poles; building sand sometimes mountings, but with quite some effort. this can't be soul travel but levitation--could it be so?
l'm supposed to be light in soul travel and fly effortlessly--but in this case there were limits, but then levitation here has got to do with physical objects or could it still hold true even if out of the body or with etheric and other bodies--levitation?

you know that some people are not ready for some levels of truth and can react violently if told what they are not ready to hear, so i have to apologize in advance for those whom that statement may offend. since you are not one of them it is quite a relief.

that is a very good one. you have started experiencing how the Holy spirit teaches souls through the dream state. you discovered that it made more sense to you than any more explanation i would have given.

those are teething lessons in soul travel. that is why it is taking quite some effort on your part. also do not miss the symbolism that is involved in those objects you are trying to cross. go into contemplation after each experience to get the deeper meaning.

usually before you go through an experience in the outer you are prepared in the inner worlds. that is why you see yourself being shown what levitation is in the inner. if the experience in necessary for your spiritual growth the Holy spirit can give you an outer experience of physical levitation. In Eck most of these experiences come to us out of the volition of the Holy spirit to teach us certain things and after learning we drop it and continue on our journey back to God.

From the above i am tempted to conclude that Devil is a co-worker of God since darkness is needed to understand light.

you got it spot on. The so called devil or satan is actually working for God. He is not fighting God at all.
all the lower universes was created as a school for soul and satan is in charge as the Head master. that is why in the bible the devil has to come and tempt Jesus to make sure he has reached spiritual maturity before he could start his mission.

he was simply doing his job as assigned to him by God. if you read the book of Job in the bible you will still see the same thing. he moves up and down the earth looking for souls that say they love God and to ensure that they really practice what they preach.

so in Eck we do not fight the devil or curse him but rather we are alert to the lessons that he brings through temptations. this helps to keep soul on its feet on its journey back to God.

the only proof that will make sense to you is the proof that the Holy Spirit gives to you. The holy spirit is the repository of all truth and all revelations and all the masters you come across are only channels for the holy spirit.

so if you want proof all you have to do is ask the holy spirit and watch your inner experiences. you can tune in to the holy spirit by singing the holy names of God or some spiritually charged words as a love song in the night before you go to sleep and in the morning when you wake up. HU is one such name you can try.

being a christian you can sing the name of your master Jesus  or christ In a long drawn out way. for 15 to 30 minutes. after that exercise make your request to the holy spirit that you want proof of the role of the devil in the life of souls and then watch your inner experiences. your experience becomes your authority and no one can take it from you. and of course do not expect any one who has not had the same revelation as you to believe you.

okay lets start with believe. in eckankar we do not just believe. we take it a step further to knowingness and then beingness. in Eckankar you are advised not to just believe anything you read in a book or anything you are told by the master. you have to go within to ask the holy spirit to prove that it is reality and then after that you make effort to bringing that truth into expression by becoming it. so if there is any truth that i have not proved for myself i will not even talk about it because i will be like an empty drum making noise and repeating what someone else experienced.

Jesus Christ: Jesus is a soul like you and me, who became awakened after many lifetimes of spiritual experiences and accepted the role of being The Christ. as The Christ he was able to teach some golden truth to the vastly ignorant people of that age and most importantly He pointed out the importance of the Holy spirit which he said will lead one to all truth. unfortunately what you have as Christianity today is filled more with social issues that true spirituality. and only those who can reach into the inner worlds where the Christ is still operating can really verify for themselves what is the truth and what is illusion.

hell and heaven:  hell and heaven are actually states of consciousness. really they are not physical places. hell is a state of consciousness that exists when there is no love in the heart of the person leading to sorrow, unhappiness, fear and all negativities. heaven is a state of pure, divine love, happiness etc. to explain further, if you are in a very beautiful palace but in that palace there is no love and the king of that palace is always threatening to kill the people there instilling fear. you will be in a beautiful place but you will not feel that it is heavenly because there is so much fear and no love.

you will be surprised to find areas of pure terror when you explore the first heaven or actually the second plane which is the immediate plane most people go to when they die on earth. but really you will expect that a place called a heaven will only have places where people are happy. so when people die they gravitate to the area in the next plane that corresponds to their vibration. if they are evil people they will find themselves in the midst of evil people in the first heaven where of course they will continue their evil trend there until time comes for them to reincarnate and start all over again. so you may see such places in the second plane as Hell. and when you see the beautiful places with good vibrations where good people gravitate to in the first heaven you may see that place as heaven.

this is the reason why you need to learn how to travel to this other planes and see things for yourself, then you will understand exactly how the worlds operate.

salvation:  in Eckankar the question of salvation does not even arise because soul does not need to be saved. soul only needs to awaken to its true identity. once it does that all the shackles that are holding it down will be shaken off because it will see them for what they really are, only illusions. soul only needs to bask in the presence of the Holy spirit to realize it true essence and that is what the spiritual exercises does.

it is not a days affair and it is something that has taken lifetimes to come to this point in time. the process of purification takes time to purge away the dross that surrounds soul and allow its inner light to shine.
this explains the reason why someone who accepts Jesus as his personal lord and saviour  will still continue finding himself committing sins and he wonders why. it is simply because it is not a matter of words. it is not just by saying you believe then all old things passes away. no. you will have to go through an inner purification where the Holy spirit washes you in and out and you will find yourself naturally and without effort being able to love your neighbour because it has become your inner nature.

this of course takes time. many i have met especially Christians often wonder how i am able to live the kind of life i live effortlessly giving love to all that comes my way and yet i am not a christian. i simply laugh it off because of what i know. experiencing the Holy spirit on a daily basis through the spiritual exercises of singing the holy names of God is one sure way i have proven to myself of becoming a lover of life and a channel for the Holy Spirit.

The Bible:  the Holy Bible like any other Holy book contains people's experiences with God in various ways. so of course it contains some truth but not all the truth because you can not capture the pure essence of God in a book. the pure truth is within you. you have to learn how to go within to experience God. you will find that after the experience you will find it very difficult to put it into words the best you can come up with will be allegories, metaphors and similes. which of course is far from the real thing. that is why in the bible you find Jesus always speaking in parables. so the holy books are a guide. they are not the destination.

most of the time i quote the bible because i have studied it intimately and knowing that you are a christian, it becomes a good reference point for you. so truth is not limited in any way in that it can come to you from any angle. you can even learn truth from the words of a child or from the actions of animals. we are the ones who put limitations to truth.

the spiritual journey starts at the point behind the two eyebrows when you close your eyes.
that is the location of the spiritual eye or the window of heaven or the narrow gate which few ever find.
you close your eyes, fill your heart with love by remembering all the things in your life that made you happy. then you sing a holy name of God for example you can try singing the HU which is a holy name of God that does not belong to any language or to any religion. sing it for 15 to 30 minutes then go into quiet contemplation while keeping your attention on the spiritual eye. watch what happens.

do this exercise in the night before sleeping and in the morning after waking up. regular practice of this exercise will gradually open your spiritual eyes and you will then easily enter the inner worlds to explore and come back with your experiences intact.

About how the holy Spirit answer questions: l was watching soccer on tv; there was a surge and electricity was cut-off. we went to bed l and my friend. l was so worried; so later at night it was like a woke up and clearly looked at the room; then l asked my friend what was the score amd he told me! in the morning he too was asking of the scores which l thought he knew. l asked whether l actually did asked him about the results of the game but he said no--as though to make it more juicy for me, there was still no electricity as we spoke with him! @otheloze and ezeugo, just go on ahead and 'do' it begining to work for me

awesome indeed. but the truth all the same. just imagine God who is the supreme  being and then having a being that It created running around its kingdom totally out of control and causing chaos without God's permission. it is simply not possible. God is in total control and everything that is happening in the world is according to its laws and will.

on the aspect of spirits that possess people that is another wide area on its own but i will give a little explanation. first nobody can be possessed unless the person opens his/her inner bodies for such possession by indulging most times in psychic practices and/or taking hard drugs.

these spirits that possess people are mostly earth bound souls that are bound down by the bad habits they indulged in during the time they were alive physically. they move around looking for someone who has opened himself up in order to invade the person's body and use it to continue enjoying the vices he used to indulge in.

these lost souls are actually students like us who have failed their exams  at that level under the school in which the devil is the headmaster. for them the process of recovering their true identity is a long and painful one and as such one need to have compassion for such souls and pray not to fall into their shoes.

i am very happy for you that you have started experiencing it for yourself. these experiences will come to you when you are open to them and when you are ready for them. so there is no problem at all. spiritual growth is a very gradual process and there is no rush and it is for all souls. it does not matter your religion or your race. all that matters is your love for God and your love for life.

Eckankar is against psychic practices. because someone who practices it is opening him/herself to negative forces which can take over the person and start controlling such a person. moreover there is a great price to pay for indulging in psychic practices so it is better left alone.
Eckankar has only one purpose which is to show those souls who are ready how to find their way back to their true home. all those psychic practices are detours on the road to God which can trap a soul and keep it from its journey for eons of time.

I would like to ask , on which side does our traditional Gods like Oduduwa,Oromila Shanko belong to, i mean are they on the part of the devil teaching us darkness for us to experience light

oduduwa by the yorubas, chukwu by the igbos and abasi by the efik are simply other names for the supreme God. They are as a result of the ancient people trying to make sense of the omnicient and omnipotent one. On the other hand gods like sango, god of thunder and other gods that are in charge of rain, sun, wind , crops etc. are actually beings known as elementals whom the supreme God has put in charge of those areas. They are not gods to be worshiped. It was due to ignorance that they were elevated to that status.

The Law of Change:

conditions in the worlds of time and space will always change at some point; there is no stability here.

This is a world of change. In fact, even this universe plus so many heavens that lie above this physical one are in a constant swirl of change. Change is the unchanging law for the worlds of change.
