UNIBEN Optometry students converged in Mass to protest the loss of accreditation by the department and poor learning conditions. The protest started at the school main gate with the students cutting off vehiclar movement in and out of the school premises leading to a massive traffic jam..... Pics below...

This is great guys. It's so appalling how the school is treating this our department. Let's spread the rumors

The system is so terrible. . We are tired of staying at home. 10montha after graduation, no induction yet. Not even a six classroom block for students. We have been addressed as "Nomadic students". Moving from one dept tobanother to receive classes. This is so unfortunate!

Uniben Optometry needs serious help

It is high time!! optometry graduands of last year has not been inducted up till this very moment.

The level of academic decadence in that department is quite appalling,no lecture theatre,inappropriate extortion from students in the form of clinic registration fees,graduating class of 2017/2018 remains uninducted and inappropriate managerial skills.
The lecturers are self-centered,if they really want a change in that department they should down their tools just like pharmacy lecturers did so their voices can be held.
Kudos to Uniben optometry students on this great feat.

This deserves to be moved to front page

Optometry in Uniben has been relegated to the background long before now. New departments that are not up to 5 years have a building to their name, Optometry that's the first school in west Africa established in Uniben 46years ago can't boast of working clinical instruments let alone Erect a building on it's name.
Enough of the stories, the students are suffering and wasting away. we need commitment from the management of Uniben.
