Lol. Optometrists are Doctors of the eye (not to be confused with Opthalmology) just like Dentists are Doctors of the teeth and gum.

This is what federal schools go through and yet someone will be bragging about how Getting a first-class from a Federal school is the holy grail.

We just like suffer head mentality for this country.

Just imagine. no school blocks for a department and yet the school authorities will collect school fees and what not from them.

The only Uni I see in 9ja wey get head na Covenant University.

The current V.C. is the worst thing ever to happen to uniben. ever since he came into office the university has been regressing. this is what you get when tribe you belong to is considered over competence in selecting leaders...

This is not exactly true. Optometrist diagnose and manage refractive error. They are more like physicist than biologists

That's a wrong analogy.

Beyond refractive errors, Optometrists diagnose and treat other ocular conditions (referring, when necessary).

In the past couple of weeks, majority of cases I've handled were not even refractive.

From Uvietis, to CVS, to Dry Eye, to Glaucoma, to Blepharitis, to Tropia, to Cataract, and several others.

it's not, am a uniben student also. Yes, they might be sharing the same building with physics department which is under physical science, but the department of Optometry itself is one of the seven departments that makes up the faculty of life science in uniben
