I'm not surprised you're defending your 'txt speak'. Anything is to be expected from someone who thinks Symbian is any threat to the Android OS.
Smartphone sales figures clearly show a very significant drop in Nokia's marketshare. Nokia just had their CEO step down after coming under intense criticism for the decline of the Nokia smartphone marketshare. And here you are talking without facts.

neither am i suprsd u're criticising it.d most important tin is that symbian stil tops d market share.and about functns, apart from froyo upwards can an android device save apps on micro sd.and pls tel me what android can do and symbian cant.

Android is a modern, optimized OS with an elegant UI and tons of top-notch apps. Symbian is a prehistoric relic (just like Windows Mobile) that is fast being rejected by Smartphone consumers.

Good thing you mentioned that you know nothing of android.

1. Android is not a phone. It's an OS running on lots of Awesome hardware
2. Java apps? Native Android apps blow all those your crappy java and .sis apps out of the water.
3. Themes? Lots of them are on the Android market

Presently using An Andriod Phone (Name withheld) grin with Andriod 2.2 (Froyo) installed and i must say it is simply awesome. grin grin. Coming from the iphone world, i can confidently say that Andriod is the only real challenger that the ios has.

na2day!:

which android release are u using?
if u're using froyo 2.2 u can install or move d apps to d memory card, try and buy something like 16gb or 32gb,
currently i've 32gb on my phone! the internal memory of most of these phones sucks!

I don't have a memory problem yet, as mine came with 16GB internal memory. I don't just like the idea of tons
of apps on my phone if I don't use them so frequently.

I'm still on 2.1. Waiting for the official 2.2 to be made available.

Installed the JETFIT. It happens to be very useful as I'm also trying to maintain my 6pack   grin

The SHOOTME app requires the device to be rooted to work and even similar apps.

Even if android phones could predict the future and print money, I'm sure you'll still prefer symbian. When I setup a screen grabber app, I'll post
some pictures since you've only been reading and not using any.

That question is an insult. Even my SE W810 can multitask.

@na2day, I can't get the link for the video tutorial about getting the root access of my android 1.6. Please post me a written tutorial link. Thanks. But wait a minute, can android os process .deb files like the iphone running cydia?

try the tut in this forum:

http://forums.t-mobile.com/t5/Operating-System-Software/TUTORIAL-How-To-Root-Android-1-6-and-Install-CyanogenMod/m-p/225164#U225164

@can android os process .deb files like the iphone running cydia?

NO! sad
Well, you understand that running a Debian shell and running a graphical linux application is somewhat different, right ?

Furthermore, cydia just use the same package management as Debian, it doesn't means that the files inside a deb file are compatible with Android (as they are compiled for the iPhone, which is a completely different architecture)
