alfredilly: Ajue, odigbo, igba and the likes are former Ondo town farmlands that developed into townships. That's understandable. But Araromi Obu is a typical Ikale land, Ondo people were just allowed as settlers there. As per Ikale people being land grabbers, that's a lie from the pit of hell. We are too peaceful and accomodating for that. Or do you have any history of Ikale grabbing your Ilaje land? |

maynation: I think I should ask you if you read through the poster argument. He wasn't claiming Ode Aye as Ondo territories but said Ekimogun( Ondo) kingdom extended to it's boundary. You need to understand that historic link and better substantiated by similarity of language. There are Ondo dialect spoken by communities beyond Ondo town. Many of this community are in Odigbo local government. Yes, after Odigbo local government are core Ikale towns of Ode aye, Irele and Okitipupa. Between this boundaries presence are Ikale settlement and you can find this like Lafe, lowo, Ogbe and the rest. This are villages that link Odigbo to major In Ikale town. The dispute with Araromi is also as a result of this settlement. Remember that Araromi Obu is a major indigenous town in Odigbo local government. I think this border dispute should be handled with caution. Lastly the comparison you drew with Lagos political system is irrelevant. Lagos is largely a metropolitan area with little indigenous influence. Ore is almost taking the shape of Lagos but the Odigbo people still fight to exert their political dominance. The post of chairman has been occupied by the indigenous people for years but with the growing influence of settlers and foreigner, this is being brought to question. The current deputy speaker of Ondo house of assembly member, Hon Iroju Ogundeji, is an Ikale man who practice his politics in Ore and struggled to get an assembly slot. He is one of the only Ikale man to have held elected office in that local government. 1 Like |

alfredilly: You just validated one of my initial points when Sammy said Ore speak Ondo, I told him they speak more of Ikale mixed with Osun/Oyo/Kwara and this is because of their very plenty populations. You also validated my claim that although Ileoluji/Okeigbo have very similar languages with Ondo people but they are dissociated from Ekinmogun. I don't even know what you are arguing with me over. Mind you, below is a proof of Ikale being majority in Odigbo 6 Likes

alfredilly:If you don't get my point then what are you typing? The comparison I drew with Lagos is needless? Very funny. Okay an Igbo man contested for a political seat in Sabo gari Kano state, can Igbos claim the state? That was a very straight forward comparison, I won't force you to acknowledge it. Then again, Did I ever say Odigbos don't have their indigenous people? Who ever holds a political seat is none of my arguments as far as s/he is recognised as an Odigbo person. If you are an Ilaje person and you believe Ode Aye is Ekinmogun then good luck. 5 Likes |

maynation: BTW, do you know why we have so many towns that speaks ondo dialects?? It's because of war that broke out in Ondo city, many people fled to other places and settled in that place, many fled to create a new village etc... When the war was finally settled(after many years) they were recalled back home. But some refuse to come back home.. A friend of mine, his father is the royal historian.. I know History of Ondo kingdom very well.. That's why I advised you to find the roots of those towns... In Odigbo local governments. |

Seerade029: These are moon light tales, I have spoken with an Ikale man that claims his people were from Usen in Edo state. I already explained this to you, all towns have these funny and laughable albeit distorted stories they claimed to have been passed down from generation to generation. This isn't fact, they are just mere stories. 6 Likes |

maynation: Ile-Oluji speak a dialect that is almost similar to that of Ondo and that confirm the Ekimogun link. Odigbo town, Ajue and Araromi Obu also speak a a variant of Ondo dialect with minor difference. They are also aware of a history that confirm their Ondo root. Ore has many settler and Oyo, Osun, almost outnumber the combine presence of people of Ikale, Ilaje and the Odigbo indegene. Your wikipedia account is very questionable as it omit Odigbo town, Ajue and Araromi obu. 1 Like |

She thinks it's by "travelling to those places". Not sure what "travelling" actually means in this context. "I have been to everywhere in Ondo state" was really funny, seriously. |
