Smirnoff is pretty soft, there's nothing wrong with being a social or occasional drinker, but like you already know, too much of everything can create an adverse and unintended effect. That you mentioned Smirnoff shows you were never really huge on drinking. Keep it that way if you can or just abstain if possible. During my drinking days, I was heavy on rum, gin and vodka. I regret even thinking about that episode of my life and what it cost me. I try not to touch any alcohol anymore now - why? I learnt the hard way in western nations. I spent too much on lawyers alone I could have avoided if I avoided the bottles. I could have built another house in Lagos with the amount on legal fees in the US alone all the times i got in trouble for alcohol-related charges. No one in Nigeria will really understand cos drinking and driving is not such a big deal in Nigeria compared to nations like the US and Canada.

Im still tempted to drink red wine, barleys and pina colada now from time to time, but really I dont need any ETH anymore in my system cos it took me places many around me never been to.. Be glad bro, and stay safe.

Smirnoff has 5.5% alcohol while hero has 5.2% before I used to take dry gin which has 42% I stopped because I realised I was just trying to feel baddest or fit in. Now, the other habit I feel I might pick is smoking, not weed oh (I hate weed with my life) cigars or cigarettes.

I started smoking cigarettes when I was just 16 and in Nigeria...regular habits I picked up from from fellow high school friends. It got worse in my ND and HND days in Nigeria. I left Nigeria in 2004 right after HND for the US. I was more of a smoker than a drinker. Never did weed nor hard drugs like cocaine, heroine, speed etc all my life but I drank a lot in the US and Canada. Drinking got heavier when I was going through my second divorce in the US and it led me to a permanent health issue I still receive treatments for -pancreatitis. Pls google it up and see the pains that comes with it.

On the smoking piece, that currently costs me almost $7 per day for a pack of cigarettes. Its a pure waste of money and I.m eally willing to give it up but its my only habit now after giving up drinking. I just got some meds from my doc that will slow down the urge, it it works, then im free from vices.

I'm an occasional drinker.so waz down at d village 4 dad elder broda coronation. Wasnt d 1st drinking alcohol tho.i was more of a red wine person. I went to a birthday party with 2 friends in 2009, we got drunk on Napoleon and boom the drama started after 20mins. I first dropped the Napoleon bottle on the floor and it broke and a friend later asked of the remaining Napoleon and I was showing him my empty hand as if I was still holding the drink. After about 10mins I left with my 2 friends to go home, there was no bike or taxi so we had to trek for about 3km. On our way home a friend got to the main express and slept on it that we had to pull him up and plead that we were not yet at home and we had to hold him closely so that he won't insist again while on our way. My house back then used to be a lion's den and you dare not come back home late but on getting home we banged the gate as if we wanted to bring it down and at some point the Gateman got scared and opened the door with fear. Truly alcohol is a bitch.

Thereafter my Uncle's wife (Fearless Woman) asked us from her window where we were coming from at 1am and I responded without any remorse "Mama we are coming from a party ni jor"...lol

We all entered and slept anyhow and after like 20mins I threw up all the food and the alcohol I had consumed and I slept back without knowing. When I was informed about it the following day I couldn't believe it until I was shown the video made by one of us, it was so disgusting.

Finally, the following morning, the room was so unbearable with the smell of the alcohol vomit as all of us threw up all through the night that I landed in the hospital. I developed a serious body itch and after proper examination, I was advised by the doctor to do away with alcohol as it was not good for my system. This then became the end of my journey in the alcohol world.

I take little alcohol and don't get too intoxicated so I am always in control of myself.
But one of my newly married neighbours in the past was a habitual drunk.
He would drink and forget to 'meet' his young wife when it was time for him to perform his 'night duty'. The woman became sex-starved and gave it regularly to a young man who frequently drinks with her husband at night, right beside the husband on their matrimonial bed. She got pregnant for the young man, divorced her husband and married him. That was when the husband stopped drinking and gave his life to Christ!
I personally saw it happen at Auchi in Edo State some years back.
