One thing is still clear from your narration that the North will still most likely hold on to power, thereby making Tinubu's perceived presidential dream a nullity, they got to him through Oshiomole and Ajimobi God rest his soul cos from some narratives his death might not be ordinary. techmo: |

You don't still get the point sir, it's not Tinubu's loss that matters but Nigeria's loss. The country is not going to get the best by majoring in minor. Why leaving the major matters in the land that should be thoroughly discussed, assessed and reassessed and concentrate solely on a private citizen for daring to aspire for the Presidency for his Country. In advanced democracies, people concentrate on issues. Tinubu is a Nigerian citizen, if I were him I will continue to aspire for the Presidency of my country and pursue it to a logical conclusion damning any consequences. People that don't like Tinubu should contest the same election or support other contestants in the election against him. Certain things need to happen (like contesting of a presidential election) to deepen democratic culture in Nigeria bestdudes: |

ThatFairGuy: Even Anini was popular. Anini was Bini armed robber who nearly turned Benin to a no-go city. Tinubu’s political escapade in 2014/15 further distances Nigeria’s political power from the south of Nigeria. |

greenguy: Used indeed, 8yrs as President 8yrs as Vice president 8yrs as NASS president..... You guys are just wailling early, the CNC comprises of Amechi,El rufai and Tinubu loyalist so I don't know why the noise of Tinubu here and there, the emergence of National chairman after the party convention will truly show who understand politics at crucial time, it's too early for people to laugh at Tinubu at this time, it's even a shame to those who their forefathers cannot even lace the shoe of Tinubu to mock him at this time, six months is a very long time in politics let wait and see. Am not a pro Tinubu or anti Tinubu but the reality on ground is that he has his men in every corner of the country from Presidency to Ministers to Nass to Governors to even party chairmen across the states, So how is it easy for El rufai and Amechi to defeat such man, I don't react to issue emotionally but with reality on ground.... 1 Like |

How long will you be fooled bro, once beating, twice shy. Giving yourself a false hope is dangerous to your well being. Your type is actuallyTinubu's biggest problem. You just want to bury this man before his death. The northerners really understands you guys perfectly. Just imagine what you are still writing. techmo: |

Farook is writing nonsense here. He focuses on the negative. North is devastated with war and mismanagement of almajiri. If a Northerner wins 2023 its because Southerners are d0mb. Why would we allow people that cannot manage their regional society to bring same level of mismanagement to the center and spread problems to South? The competition is between candidates in South, period! SW, SS, SE will compete for 2023 Presidency. Yorubas have been preaching this repeatedly. Throw in your hat into the competition. The Southerners that are jumping in to cheer Farook, get sense and filter out his distractions. Northerner will not count in 2023. |

Facts turned over its head. CPC never existed for 16 years, it only existed for a few months before the 2011 elections and this was the only election CPC ever participated in as CPC. In that election, CPC won at least two gubernatorial elections, Nassarawa and Katsina. The party won some National Assembly seats and of course, a handful of state assembly seats. It just makes sense to put information across in the form they existed. Dpharisee: |

Simbrixton: Thank you jare! We go scatter this country. Turn the lights off! Here is a summary of where the nation is. Ex Generals remain the bulk of Northern elites and cabals. They are reassured when a fellow ex General in South is a candidate. They have not had a non-military Yoruba or Ibo "elected" into power. The class of Southern candidates for 2023 are all of civilian background, with zero sense of duty or surrogateship to the military establishment. With that comes great risks of unpredictability. Yoruba have a problem with the constitution and are ready to return to 1963 formation. Ibo have a problem with state creation and equity and will recarve SS and its oil fields. |

Racoon:@national leader got me thinking. I think fulanis needed to place their son Buhari in a strategic lime light, in order to entrench him as a foundational leader of the party when he leaves office. During PDP days, the president was always the leader of the party but Lai Mohammed was the first to pronounce Tinubu leader of their party publicly, during the beginning of Saraki's battle with them. Even if buhari was lifeless, the cabal was there to fight for him. |

bestdudes: You don't understand politics, do you? There are no permanent friends or enemies in politics. It was Tinubu that facilitated the ascension of Buhari on the throne. If you think he doesn't have a few moves left to play then you know nothing. You think Tinubu got to the position where he is today- nominating governors of states, ministers and even crowning a president who unseated an incumbent, without enough clout of his own? You may hate the man, but give him his respect. He is an astute politician. Compared to him, Buhari and his cabals are clumsy, stomping clueless cattle that think they got to power by their own doing. |

To those harping on Tinubu's 'supposed' miscalculation.....have you ever seen Tinubu approach a political issue with one plan? Baba has plan A, B, C. As we talk he has people already unfolding 2023 plans underneath and out of view. Some of the Tinubu beatings on social media are created purposely by his people to attract attacks to him so his unfolding intrigues can complete underneath undetected. Ive said this here many times. Anytime you see a lot of social media noise about Tinubu, something is going on underneath. We wouldnt know what untill much later after the noise has died down. Gaidon called a NEC meeting, Buhari attended but rewarded Buni and Oyetola with prominent roles and both supported dissolution of NWC. Yet we think Tinubu lost out. Really? Mai Mala, for those who dont know him, is in support of doing away with power rotation and using merit. Oyetola is pro-Yoruba candidacy. So how has Gaidon's action killed Tinubu's ambition? In fact, how has Gaidon's action benefitted Gaidon or his candidates? |

bestdudes: Was it state politics that helped him to put Buhari in power? When he helped form the merger that knocked the sock off PDP, you didn't claim that he was just a local champion. But now that it seems he's up the creek with no paddle, you think he's just a local man. That's not consistent thinking. I don't like the man personally, but I think he's a master of the game. |
