Yes, but you can quickly rebuke the flesh lust and ask for cleansing of heart and forgiveness of your sin from God immediatelyAnd He's willing, able and ready to forgive you.

You have not sinned when you look lustfully at a lady provided you are not married. It is only a sin for married people.

Jesus termed it adultery at heart. Adultery is only for married people. Single men don't commit adultery. So Jesus was wise when he said a married man should not list after a lady.

Single men are free to lust, salivate, imagine, admire and approach single ladies.

The urge to have sex and lust after women is God given and cannot be taken away, so it is natural, divine and good to imagine sleeping with a lady and even have erection.

That is how Joseph got interested in the mother of Jesus and almost disrupted history when he found out that Mary was pregnant... That someone ate the forbidden fruit before him.

Jokes apart, Lusting after single people as a single is not a Sin. Thank you

I repeat. Adultery is only for married people. So it is not a sin for people who are yet to marry to lust after opposite sex. Don't let the devil put guilt and condemnation in your heart when Jesus did not condemn you. Jesus was only addressing people who are already married.

Have You Sinned If You Looked Lustfully At The Opposite Sex?

Yes you have according to this saying of Jesus:

"But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart." Matthew 5:28

But it's not a sin unto death because this saying of Jesus was intended to make you perfect as the Father is!

Matthew 5:48 (KJV)

Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

That was how God made man (male an female) to be in the beginning and how man was before he fell into sin. So the purpose God sent Jesus to the Earth, was to restore things back to way they were in the beginning, when there was no lust in man's heart despite that they (male and female) were both naked.

Genesis 2:25 (KJV)

And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.

So shame only came after lust entered into their hearts via sin, but that was not how God made man to be in the beginning. Hence the purpose of that saying of Jesus was to restore man back to the way God made them in the beginning when there was no lust in their hearts.

Therefore that ought to be the aspiration of every man who is a follower of Jesus; to become perfect as God is and made man to be in the beginning when there was no lust in man's heart.

This Jesus was, being a perfect illustration of the ways of the Father on Earth, hence He desired for His followers to become likewise.

So do not settle for lust even though it just that of the heart, because God desires that you be perfect as He is without lust in your heart, so that you don't give the devil any room to exploit.

With God it's possible to achieve this.

God bless.

The best way to understand a bible passage is to read the preceding passage and the passage after it to get what that passage is talking about.

If you read from verse 20, you'll have an understanding what Christ was talking about in verse 28..
Mat 5:20, ..except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you shall have no case to enter the kingdom of heaven.

Now this verse gives an insight of what Christ is saying.
The scribes and Pharisee were very religious and righteous (self righteous) people. They did everything by the book including paying of tithes, giving to the poor, not committing adultery or fornication. They didn't murder. The took gifts to the altar. Now Jesus in verse 20 tells us that all these "righteousness" was not enough to take someone the kingdom of God. And in verse 21 up till 48, he showed us how impossible it was to please God by ourselves.
In verse 21&22 He tells us that when we think we haven't killed anyone in our entire life, calling a person a fool or being angry with them for no cause is the same as murder and the same punishment for murder awaits such person.
In verse 27&28, He was telling us that when you think you haven't commited adultery before and you look at a woman lustfully, you're committing adultery.
Even as you read down, you'll see how Jesus was explaining the futility and trying to please God by ourselves.

The only way to please God is to be perfect (Mathew 5:48). And the only to be perfect in God's eyes is to believe in whom who He sent. The only way for your righteousness to exceed that of the Pharisees is to have the righteousness of Christ

Stupiid questions as usual on a Sunday morning.

We are all sexual and social animals and the imagination of intimacy with the opposite sex from time to time is just the natural hormone that kicks for procreation purposes.

It's not just for "procreation purpose" ooo.

God bless.

Am no DEEPER LIFE MEMBER

but if u look at an average well dressed Deeper life lady, there is no no way u will look at her lustfully.

But an average woman dress exposing and revealing her body, I think it will then be natural for a man to look, but what will be wrong is continuing looking, thinking and imagining, infact some people go for the look first.

My opinion.

What kind of question is that. Can the Bible be clearer on this matter?
