1. To avoid this kind of issues in the first place, buyer paid 4k to seller which he believes it's a reasonable amount for a proper logistics from Lagos-ibadan

2. is this the first time the seller is working with the logistic company, did he know that the logistic company use to render their services by sending it through bus driver at the park, if not did the seller ask the means they use to run their their services knowing the value of what you want to deliver to the buyer??

3. after sending the item to the logistic company, was a pick up point agreed between the company and buyer, or I don't get why the item will just be sent to Ibadan without any pick up point, now the company involved another party which is the bus driver and also paying him to help with the delivery (so the company should hold the driver responsible too)


At the end I believe the seller was not professional enough and was careless with the item.

Bruh, my advice to you would be to get external forces involved, get a court hearing even if it's a virtual one(WhatsApp Group call/zoom) there is one nympho lawyer here, the one that settled the defamation case, you could hit him up.
When the Judge jury and executioner are sellers(all of them be guys), in most cases you'll be left with a "sorry" while in the best case you'll get a partial refund, while in real sense you should get full refund and extra if this were settled outside NL.
You can check the dispute resolution thread to see how Sellers swindle buyers and get away with it, in the end they'll blame it on technicality.
The process is just taking longer because you don't have WhatsApp screenshots or backing, so you're handicapped here.
Even people that sell clothes and shoes don't use bus drivers to do waybill, They use legit couriers.

Omo, have you guys ask @bdemix if he received the address buyer sent or not? Because he doesn't make sense to me, while would I send my address to a seller when is not home Delivery? As a seller, if I receive such message (the full address)....instantly I will asked what for? And tell you categorically where I can send it to or we conclude on how to get it to your address.

And do you know Ibadan has different parks? Some buyers prefer IWO road some preferred CHALLENGE etc. Why would I just send to IBADAN without asking where? On different occasions, even the garage guys will ask you where did the buyer wants to get the package from? There and then they will call the buyer and ask but no call was placed to buyer at the garage.

And if we are truthful with ourselves, who pays 4k to garage guys from Lagos to Ibadan if he doesn't want home Delivery?

Buyer has absolutely no wrong that can be pinned on him and thus should not be made to bear from the loss, unless he willingly offers to forgo part.
In the event that a resolution like this is not reached, buyer should hold the seller who should hold omicpet who should in turn hold the driver who should in turn hold the robbers. Of course, the grounds for all but the first holding are debatable.
It's all shades of wrong to ask buyer to hold driver, he simply has no direct business with the driver.

Going forward
1. I will advise that sellers decline delivery outside their store/warehouse if they are not willing to take responsibility for what happens in transit or issue a caveat to the buyer at that point but I doubt buyers will be aware that they're bearing logistics risks and still go ahead with purchases. The moment you accept to arrange delivery to buyers, it's either item gets delivered intact or you refund the buyer so far buyer use your recommended delivery method. I've personally done this both as a seller and as a buyer on several occasions.
2. Omicpet should work on insurance per item and let clients pay certain % of item value for this. Any client who declines cover accepts whatever happens in transit. GIGLogistics does this. He should also state his terms of service to clients before accepting tasks. Those who are cool with it will deal.

@Harryfrosh called me around 3 am that he's interested in samsung note 20 ultra and we discussed about the price. We agreed on 370k and he asked me where he's going to receive his item and I told him my final destination is at omipet office in Lagos State. He said he resides in ibadan then I said as soon as his item arrived, he can send his friend or any of his relatives to pick up the item at omipet office and he said he's going to make part payment that as soon as the item arrived, he will complete the payment. He made an upfront payment of 70k. The item arrived last week Saturday which I informed him to send someone to pick up the item for inspection so that he could pay up the balance of 300k. On that Saturday evening, I received an alert of 304k which I quickly put a call across to him that I received 304k instead of 300k and he pleaded that I should help him process the waybill to ibadan and we didn't discuss anything about home delivery with the waybill fee but he assumed that the waybill money shouldn't be more than 4k from lagos to ibadan.. On Tuesday, I contacted omicpet to forward his item to ibadan and I was charged 3k and I called him immediately that the waybill to ibadan was 3k that he should send me his acc number so that I could refund him the extra 1k but he insisted I should not bother to send it rather I should use it as my calling card.
Around 7:30 pm, he called that a driver called him from lagos that his item would be delivered to him in ibadan that they should try and meet at a place in ibadan. He told me that he's also expecting another item from Lagos State but not too sure if the item is from omipet or from someone else. Around 10pm, I received his call and he said he was told by the driver that his three tyres burst simultaneously. Around 4:30am, I received his call and he said the driver told him that he was robbed and I was shocked to hear this owing to the fact that the driver had earlier said that his vehicle three tyres burst simultaneously and he said that he's going to meet the driver as soon as the day break.
Around 9:28am today, he told me that he has finally seen the driver and that out of all the items that were with the driver, only his item was carted away by the armed robbers.. I quickly called his attention to the lies being told by the driver that he should hold the driver to ransom by reporting the case to the police. He said the police came but they couldn't arrest anyone. I gave him another ingenious suggestion to look for any available military man which he later called that the driver has agreed to pay him 200k. I was shocked to my marrow by telling huge lies that he discussed home delivery and waybill fee with me and of course there was nothing of such in our previous conversation.

I know the difference between proper investigation and ploy to convict someone.

In your first post you stated it that the Omic did not receive any address and I ask you since he didn't receive any address who did he send the item to in Ibadan? You refuse to answer.

Secondly you stated that it's the buyer that begged the seller or Omic to help him send the item after it has reached his office as the pickup station which is also wrong.
It's after I query you on both now that you are asking the buyer if they agree on shipping to Ibadan.
You even accuse me if not knowing anything about TLC.

If you want to investigate as you claim you suppose to ask the buyer first before making those wrong assumptions.

It remains for us to tell ourselves the truth. I know it might not be easy for Bdemix, but he has to refund Harryfrosh or reach a settlement plan with him. Omic and Bdemix also need to reach an agreement on how to share the loss.

All this 2k or 4k or home delivery issue shouldn't be the case now, that one has passed.

This is where you should have pick your point in the first place instead of saying they agreed on Omic office as the pickup station which the buyer denied with proof (the SMS).

By saying Omic office is the pickup station is like believing the seller (despite no evidence) and disputing buyer's side with his evidence.
In short that means you saying the buyer is lying.
