That's a very stupid statement from you and that simply means you are a fool.

Lagos is a Yoruba land with its ups and downs just like any other areas or tribal settlement in Nigeria.....Lagos is also charismatic that it welcome every other tribes to come and settle comfortably and peacefully except you decide to be funny.

Lagos has commissioners from the Ibo tribe and also from the northern part representing their different constituents inside Lagos state.

To your parochial mind, we have Ibo agberos in Lagos competing and in close relationship with their fellow Yoruba agberos without discord.

I always wonder why some Ibos will open their ogusho smelling mouth and make terrible remarks on Yorubas when the two tribes are so entwined and close knitted that you can hardly differentiate between them.

Presently In Nigeria, Ibos and Yorubas seems to have the best relationship on going at the moment due to lot of investments done by the Ibos and largely because of the peaceful relationship accord the Ibos by the Yorubas ....Even though we have just few Yorubas in Ibo land, I can categorically tell you that Yorubas enjoys utmost comfort too while residing in the East.....

So Mr man, stop blabbing your empty trumpet by abusing Yorubas....Grow up and get educated....

Nonexistent:
That's all they do. Very lazy lots who will rather take pride in agbero business than work hard. Very soon the Igbos will buy up their remaining lands and they relocate to the lagoon. They will be using canoe to come out from the lagoon to collect their omo onile. Fools

nothing the can not he stopped when to right people make laws and enforce it to the fullest. This was rampant in Benin to the extent that if you want to sink a borehole, you need to pay the community first not to even talk about when you went to start building on the land. It tool just the Oba of Benin to make a decree and it was stopped even till today. Nothing like community development association. In that kind of situations, let the traditional rulers of various community also make decreed to stop it

Stop celebrating nonsense sad

Oga, nobody is celebrating the incompetency of the authorities. If I was to pay government and secure my property, I would have done so, but paying government does not guarantee my safety and that of my property. I simply keyed in to what I was advised to do and have my peace. If you choose not to pay them, it is your own choice and conviction. on many occasions in this country, I have tried to play to the rules, but the consequences have been so detrimental. If paying them will save me all the headache and stress, so be it. It is not my fault please. Don't be offended. Nobody is celebrating omo-niles

Lol. You had to bring Igbos into this. grin
Was it not the entire Anambra state fighting Ebonyi state over renaming of a single street?
Is it not in Igboland that we have the longest running communal clash in Nigeria between Umuleri and Aguleri?
Is it not in Igboland that Arthur Eze and Chimamanda's villages are killing themselves over half plot of land?

In your own family, are your sisters allowed to inherit their own father's property?

Please, remove Igbos from this matter.

The same community leaders in Lagos that are card carrying politicians? They're not ready to make it stop cos they probably have some percentage of the proceeds remitted to them.

This is super fraudulent. It is robbery in broad daylight.

Who do state governments pretend to be helpless about this situation? It seems Delta state, Lagos and Rivers state are the most notorious for it.

In Benue state, you pay 100k for youths, elders and community before you develop the land you purchased with your own money. I felt gutted paying 200 for two plots. Here others are paying over a million.

This is terrible!!

there is no such thing as ancestral land. all land belongs to GOD. you are just passing through the planet. but while you are here you can transacct and do business and lease land for 99 years so that fresh money can come in from outside and after 99 years you collect your land back, or you can do what the igbos do ? which is get posessive over ANCESTRAL LAND and hold onto it and no money is coming through the area and so there is economic stagnation and now everybody has to run from there to lagos and ogun and oyo state where there is ecnomic vibrancy. YOU HAVE TO USE YUR BRAIN IN THIS LIFE OR BE STAGNATED
who collect land back 99 years in Nigeria? that is only possible if we apply the law that says all lands belong to government.

What you sold away is your ancestral claim to the land.

Do you know this rhetoric can lead to tribal war where many properties can be destroyed or lead to SW government forbidding Indigenes selling land to strangers again.
you need the money.
