There's nothing like appreciation of life.
I never told LordReed anything about you that is false.
Ultimately, all you can do is to insult Hell but that won't be of any benefit to you.

Well i never said anything about you that is false either, all i said was LordReed is not one of those who have become BEGGARS in Nairaland, so why do you talk about "hurt"

Talking about benefits i think my God has spoken and i am a living witness of his ability to rescue his loyal ones from turning to BEGGARS! Psalms 23:1 smiley

Diagnosis don't work that way, experts sometimes tell everyday people what they do not know about themselves. Like some people are told that they have ailments that they never knew, or that they have certain time left to live etc.

1. You are not an expert.

2. Even if you were an expert, you don’t know enough about me to make any sort of confident diagnosis.

3. You are free to speculate but once I tell you what is in my mind, you don’t get to say otherwise because you don't share my mind with me.

If "desperate" includes feeling or showing a hopeless sense that a situation is so bad as to be impossible to deal with. Then you guys are desperate to see God heal an amputee. You have been asking for it for years, right or right? i do not need the evidence so i do not need to look for it. How many amputees do you know of in the Bible? Do you believe the healings n the Bible or the ones people report? Would you believe it if it was recorded in the Bible? You are lucky i'm unsually soft, don't get unlucky already. angry angry

I want to see Elon Musk succeed in his brain computer interface, it doesn't mean I am desperate for it. The proper adjective is intrigued or fascinated. I would be intrigued or fascinated to see an amputee healed by your god.

There are no amputees spoken about in the Bible which is exactly the point.

While you may not be interested in such a feat, I am so since you are not, how about you skip that part and let others who are figure it out.

I am not concerned with how hard or soft you care to be, that is entirely your business.

Faith has ALWAYS being in degrees/sizes. My level of faith may not be the level of faith of another person. It is implicit that there will be varying degrees of chance or possibility. It's like saying a man with a lot of money(faith) has a greater chance of survival or of recovery from a sickness. This doesn't mean that the money is insignificant or not necessary. His riches should help him pay for good medicine and have access to quality/world class healthcare. At least, he is probably at a better chance than a poor beggar. But it is still a CHANCE. There are other factors too.
Also and secondly, it is like saying that a lady that exercises(has faith) should be more fit or live a more healthy life than the one that does not. There is still the element of CHANCE in it. It does not make the exercising or keeping fit of no worth. It simply means other things may be involved.

Faith is by all means a huge step towards receiving anything from God.

i will restate again that one MAY receive from God without faith. For instance, God worked some great miracles among the Israelites despite their unbelief.
Psa 78:22  Because they believed not in God, and trusted not in his salvation:
Psa 78:23  Though he had commanded the clouds from above, and opened the doors of heaven,
Psa 78:24  And had rained down manna upon them to eat, and had given them of the corn of heaven.

This is clear and we seem to agree on it. There are other things that make God to work miracles or through which one can receive from God. For instance, the Israelites in focus had things like God's covenant and faithfulness to their forefathers(Abraham and co) working for them. They had the prayers and person of Moses, they had time factor(there is time for everything and it was time for God to fulfill the prophecy given), and of course they have God's sovereignty which you referenced. God is not an automaton or machine, He is a person. Like every person you want to receive something from, there are usually some attitude you may display to receive the person's favour or help. For instance, you may be cordial, respectful, engaging, punctual etc. But the person still has his/her personal prerogative to say yes/no to your request. The attitude you display may tick the boxes and get or not get.
For instance you may be in traffic and meet a beggar and you give him something. You may meet the same beggar another day, he may do the same thing but you did not give anything for reasons best known to you. It does not necessarily mean you are unstable, does it? It sure shows you are not a robot.
Faith is not CRUCIAL or a critical compulsion to healing, but it can be an important ingredient. One MAY BE healed by medicine. Healing can come by praise, principle, mercy, promise, obedience etc.

There is some contradiction here. You say faith is a huge step then you say faith is not crucial. How can something be a huge step but not be crucial?

In your example of the beggar, I'd say yes I am an unreliable source for that beggar. If I was reliable he won't need to beg.

Try to be kind to your own soul first, people don't value you until you first appreciate yourself!

But the idea of chance and reaping what people sow doesn't correlate, it's either you accept the existence of a supernatural force paying people back what they did or everything just happen without any repercussions.
No sitting on the fence! smiley

If you accuse someone falsely, the person will not be happy with you.
The repercussion of your false accusation is at least the problem you have with the person.
It has nothing to do with Gods.

You don't have to tell me what people value.
Besides, everyone can't have the same assessment of the value of anything.
If something or someone is worth XYZ to you, the same can't be said towards every other person.

Your problem is psychological!
First of all it starts with your parents who weren't fully equipped with knowledge before giving birth to you. The same goes to billions of people today i was also a victim of such circumstances that's why i struggled to find the purpose of life.
Each time i see people living a trouble free and luxurious life i feel like where do we (my own family) go wrong?
The only difference between you and i is the way you handled the situation. You are comparing other people's standard and condition to yours then concluding they have what it takes to enjoy life while you have nothing that's why you keep looking at everyone as prospective ATM machine! The disappointment is now hurting you so much that you feel like ending it all.
I didn't go that way, instead i began searching for the answer to that question "What is the purpose of life? Or What are we doing here?
I once opted for Atheism but i discovered something about athests that helped me a lot and i think you too should know.
As the only specie out of all the creatures on this planet with intelligence humans should be more of problem solvers than complicating it. But atheists only accumulate knowledge when it comes to problems they become helpless, why? because each atheist only comes out to claim his right none of them thinks of compelling his/her neighbour to join hands in solving any problem!
That's why i trashed Atheism! undecided
I was burn a Muslim so i already had the idea of a supreme being (God) but about this so called God lots of questions runs through my mind unanswered!
Who is he/she/it?
What does he/she/it look like?
Is he truly just as most people do say?
Does he have the power to solve mankind's problems?
If he does as most religionists asserts then why can't he just solve it once and for all?
Why is he hiding?
Is there something he's expecting humans to do that we're not doing?
Why are billions suffering while few are eating all the goodies?
How do i get to speak with him one on one?
Ordinarily these questions would have made me end up an atheist but Atheism isn't humane enough so i started praying privately on my own to God demanding he should speak to me, but each time i do this it always happens that either that same day or less than 48 hours some people with bags will come to my door demanding time to talk about God!
I often drive them away or excuse myself when i don't feel like treating people with disgust but the same thing will happen again after i might have prayed! So one day they met my girl friend (now my wife) i expected her to treat them the way all other people do but for the first time my girl who has always been naughty attended to them calmly and offered them a seat! undecided
I never wanted to listen anyway but since she's attending to them few things dropped in my head and that was it! smiley
I asked a question though i can't remember what i asked but they answered it satisfactorily, then i wanted to ask another but they told me they're still going to other places and if i wish to continue they'll come back some other time.
After they left and my girlfriend also went home i checked my diary and found out that one of those questions is gone by attending to this people, so i decided to throw the rest to them and each time they come two or three of my questions was treated, then i asked "God, is this how you want to answer these questions?"
So my friend after getting answers to all my questions i became a changed person always happy and contented with what i have. But when selfishness is running through people's veins what will always come to their mind is "me, me and me first" all the time. No matter what they have it's never going to be enough. If people view them as rich they'll always strive for more and never rest until they die, but if they're the type that nobody noticed due to their lacking they become BEGGARS. Either way those who are closer to the author of life (God) will always be contented with whatever they have be it little or much but those who are far away will always be in WANTS! Psalms 23:1
There are many existing on this planet that you're better off than they are. I thought of offering you a job but with your present state of mind that'll be suicidal because from the way you speak you can't cherish any relationship and my reputation is at stake here.
Learn to value yourself and others will appreciate you, that's when people will notice your potentials and while they're trying to exploit the potential in you they'll end up making you but when you've condemned yourself then nobody will like to have anything to do with you.
Take care! smiley
