Nigerian pastors have never had any conviction of what they preach and their members are ever gullible.

This just set the atmosphere for their exploitation
He's a Nigerian, Nigeria cannot achieve greatness with these set of leaders in the next 50yrs. If you add 50yrs to your age, you won't probably be alive to witness a great Nigeria in your life So, have plan B

Can conviction pay someone's ransom when he's kidnapped in a bus along with several others while the bus driver was killed? Now, they're thinking if criminalizing payment of random, and the security is terrible and in Christianity, you can't do an eye for an eye, do you still stay around till you're in inescapable danger before you run?

Not everyone must run but of course, if we keep criticizing people like Pastor Adefarasin without providing solutions to perennial security problems in Nigeria then we're like those senators that want to ban payment of ransom while they're not doing anything about the country's security architecture.

Plan A: Stay safe.
Plan B: Defend your ancestral land.
Plan C: 2023 vote wisely.

All the plans are connected together.
We can make this country great if we have good and committed persons as president and governors.
Nigeria has everything except good leaders.

Nigerian generals are nuisance, thieves and oloriburuku persons.
They ruined this beautiful country.

The writer of this piece deserves a bottle of whatever his favourite is!
It's obvious that the privileged few are totally disconnected with the realities of the situation for most Nigerians!

Oga commentator just shut it. What is all the nonsense talk about privilege and faith. Is it the first time in biblical history that men and women of faith or without have migrated due to unfavourable conditions.

The Old and New Testament is replete with stories of God ordained/engineered migrations and in other cases God disapproved relocations and it has nothing to do with means or privileges.

Everyone has a responsibility to survive before salvation and if it will preserve the person's faith and destiny so be it.

I personally will not run from Nigeria because I consider myself bigger than the elements bringing her to her knees and personally believe in cleaning up after a mess but I simply cannot blame anyone who considers this country unfit for human habitation, privileged or not.

That man was simply speaking reality, which is unfortunately mistaken.

Don't be clever by half. Lebanon is a poster child for a country everyone of 'privilege' is escaping from. Its economy is in shambles, its politics a septic tank of Hezbollah terrorists and secular kleptocrats. Why won't they feel at home in Nigeria.

If you mentioned nationals out of sane countries I would have beat my head against a wall in utter frustration.

And the point is?

I know where you are going with this. The writer critics the pastor because the pastor can jump on a jet at notice while his flock cannot, abi....so he should not be tempting/provoking them...

The work of a man of pulpit is to sell hope, not fear.

Sell hope within the marginal corridors of truth..

.
To the original handle....
There's a presumption that plan B has to be migration to a developed country..

But in reality, is that always the case.

I'd caution that plan B might be an awakening call to see beyond the rat race or daily rancor and move out of comfort zones.

But I understand the point, Chika tried to establish

MY SIMPLE ADVISE TO ANYONE SEEING THIS IF YOU HAVE A MASTERS OR BSC + HND AND ARE UNDER THE AGE OF 30 KINDLY DO YOUR IELTS AND RELOCATE TO CANADA DONT MIND WHAT ALL THESE MOTIVATIONAL SPEAKERS TELL YOU LIFE IS MUCH BETTER HERE AND THE SKY IS YOUR LIMIT. PASTORS O POLITICIANS O ARE FRAUDS NIGERIA IS A COUNTRY THAT ONLY EXSISTS TO MAKE PEOPLE SUFFER. LEAVE IF YOU HAVE THE CHANCE
Bro its a vicious cycle. The people who with their ingenuity and foreign education, are supossed ro fix the country, are the ones that are leaving enmass! Who then do we expect to fix the country? Angels? Of course its the thugs and miscreants that we're leaving behind. I'm not saying i wouldn't leave if i had the chance but I'm convinced that this cycle will break the moment the educated and enlightened people in the country say enough is enough and decide to be selfless and forgo life's pleasures and stay back and fix the country.
The reason we have a clueless person like Buhari in charge is because the more enlightened people have decided to step back, run away and enjoy life more. Evil thrives when the good people stand by and do nothing, in Nigeria's case its Evil thrives when the good and educated run to Canada and the UK. Nigeria will never be built by thugs and miscreants or clueless people like Buhari.

Ironically, the writer lives in the United States.

In other words, someone who has executed her plan B and who is at zero risk from Boko haram, ISWAP, kidnappers, SARS etc is telling you not to japa.

Why the long and unnecessary focus on the trans-sahara journey that illegal immigrants take? When she went to the US, did she go through the desert to Italy first?

In this country, just use your sense. Don’t let these people deceive you.
