Africa and some nonsense beliefs. They should gerrarahere joor. We need to get rid of some of these nonsense beliefs; it sounds moronic, especially in the 21st century.
It's mentally insulting. Try explaining some of these beliefs to educated and well exposed people, & watch how moronic you'll appear. U go be like fool_for their eye.

In as much as Pythons do not naturally attack humans, but not everyone is aware or would just let a python be moving around freely. Those students acted in self defense; the gods should understand. Look at the huge snake sef

I wonder why a chief priest is in a relationship with a python, when we have beautiful girls at Owerri.

*sigh*
Always using negative events to justify their juju. Issues at work site like this happen everyday. They happened before a python was killed; happened after the python was killed and it's still going to happen in future times.
We've also seen several white contractors that kicked away sacrifices dropped at sites, did anything happen to them??

Oga chief priest, the goats, fowl, fish, snail etc that you have been eating and drinking beer after, were they aggressive? Did they harm anybody? So, why did you now kill and even eat them?
If it's forbidden to kill snakes in such community, then you shouldn't let such snakes be wandering about. Get good animal protection program. Have snake catchers available. This is Nigeria, where MOST people are scared of snakes and don't even know which is venomous or not. Me any snake wey I see, I dey murder am straight.

My dear forget this ur empty 21st century sh!t.
This is the mentality that has made us rootless. We have lost our root and identity.
Africa has tradition and it must be recognized and obeyed.
Now explain to me what your educated and 21st Century Western Worlds are doing wt our stolen artifacts.
What is so special in them that they have to steal them and refused to return most of them to us.
What are they doing wt many of our Shrine Heads or the Faces/Heads of Masquerades they stole from Africans.

I believe, those things are helping them in most of the exploits they are doing today.
All we need to do is get a better use of our culture and traditions and we may be better than these Whites.
They will tell us that our masquerades are evil, they will take it and sale their costumes to us and we will accept them as better than ours.
They told us that beating local drums (talking drums), gong etc are evil. They took them from us and gave us band and we are jumping up and down. They still modify the talking drums and send them back to us and we keep buying.
They told us that our local pots are meant for evil spirits. We threw them away and buys their.
My brother, stop bn deceived.

Your myopic sense will come to you one day in Jesus name. These things are real. Forget about religion.

There is nothing real there. It is the same priest that will go invoke evil spirits to attack those spiritually weak.

Why can't the python disappear or behave mysterious to safe itself?

Let's learn how to respect people's culture and tradition. You may not believe in what others believe in, but that does not mean that you should disrespect thier way of life.

Give what belongs to the gods to the gods and have your peace!

This could be the one of the eke owerri python that made a 17 year old boy mad. They are from Owerri. He was born in the village and thier village python visited their home 7 days after his birth and crawled round the baby boy body 7 times.the snake is worshipped in their village and not to be killed.

His parents were all watching it move on their baby.

Fastforward to 17 years later, they lived in west.after his 17th the birthday the boy ran mad,he will always say see them see them ,they want to kill me,then he jumps up and start running even at midnight,he opens their door and runs out of the house.they carried him everywhere,no solution.

After like 2 years,of wasting time and so much money seeking solution he was taken to lagos to see late TB JOSHUA.he prayed for him. They returned home after the prayers.

A WEEK LATER,THE BOY HUNG HIMSELF ON A MANGO TREE AT THE BACK OF THE A PRIMARY SCHOOL IN THEIR NEIGHBORBOOD!

THE LITTLE KIDS CAME OUT FOR BREAK AND SAW THE BODY. THEIR SCREAMS WERE SO LOUD,SOME EVEN FAINTED.

THE BOY WAS LIFELESS, FOAMING AT THE MOUTH AND THE ROPE HE TIED ON HIS NECK WAS SO TIGHT THAT ABLE BODIED MEN COULDN'T USE ORDINARY STRENGTH TO LOOSE IT.THEY HAD TO CUT IT!

If the so called snake has real power ordinary human being would not have killed it. Which yeye consequences. This is highly idiotic.
Re: Students Who Killed Our Sacred Python Are In Grave Danger – Owerri Chief Priest by Roseey0(f): 8:48am On Aug 03, 2021
The truth is that the people that killed it must be strong spiritually to avert the consequences. If you are a ju man spiritually, you will face it. I have seen it happen. My pastor aunt will piece the thing and throw away and nothing will happen but I have seen those it frustrated until they went for the cleansing. So the consequences are real for those that do not know their God intimately.
I remember we will practically wrestle foul, goat out of Python and then beg it to go elsewhere. We speak to the thing like say na human being grin and it will respond. You will just guide it away from your house with abeg o. Culture dey sha

Due to my love for the students and the fact that my Gen suddenly went off; I've agreed to go and appease oga chief priest and the gods. I'll wear a white singlet, tie a wrapper and hold a white handkerchief to do the traditional dance in the market square, while some men are playing the flute. I shall dance vigorously to impress Oga chief priest, till my generator will come back on. I will appease the gods and oga chief priest with kola, gin, #500 Mtn card, etc If you don't hear from me in some days, just know I've gone to owerri to go and dance. grin

At the end of the day , a lot of people have their traditional beliefs, and the students made a mistake trampling on the beleifs of the host community.

Japan that is hosting the Olympics, and that is an advanced nation, has shrines, and sacred places all over the country. Backward they are not. Ditto for South Korea.
