ICT at the bank commands good salary but it a bit pressured but you dress casually, work remotely from home and earn good salary

What part of it is not correct sir?

I must admit you were right in most of things you said except the below. It has nothing to do with location but grade.

these salaries are also dependent on the location you are posted to. If you are posted to back office operations, you earn more than people posted to branches.

Check the career page boss. There are a couple of vacancies there. I think about 14 different roles.

I wish you all the best!

Actually checked, they are all expired. I`d be on the look out though. You guys have painted a really nice picture of Stanbic IBTC

You have said it all.
Thank God people are coming out to butress my claims.
My superiors who left did not jump to other banks but they all travelled out.
Whenever i leave Stanbic, i am not joining any other Bank in Nigeria. I have seen what is obtainable. From here to the abroad. I am gathering my experience, developing myself and setting myself up for greater things.

Underrate stanbic at your own peril

Senior man, I sent you a pm.

I honestly do not know where this bitterness is coming from. But hey! things like this don't get to me at all. cheesy
The day i got my offer letter is the day i started planning my exit. I think every individual should do that.
Whenever that day comes (if it ever does) i am well prepared.
Thank you for your bitter concern. have a great day boss.

No bitterness at all just a reminder that the Banking life is not always what it seems to be. Take it from me I worked in that industry for over 15 years and I've seen the good the bad the ugly and the worst grin. As you have planned you exit good for you and wish you the best but the darkside of the industry needs to be shared also.

ok thank you.

mind sharing the dark sides?
the bank you worked.
your various roles (if you changed roles and departments)
time you left the industry.

I have never mentioned it being easy. As an individual, i always try as much as possible to prepare for the inevitable.

Stanbic GT is from 350.
if you are a contract staff with them who just got converted and you have less than 2 years, You're given BTA 1 (Banking transaction assistant). The salary band max is 190k.

If you are a contract staff with them with 2 years or more experience and you get converted, you're given BTA 2.
the salary band max is about 280k.
I no believe u

This is asides appraisal bonus every march and profit sharing. 12 month salary and other benefits.

stanbic converts their contract staff. if you are not more that 33 if i recall correctly. they dont accept HND. if you have HND you will have to convert it to bsc.

a. The frustration of merit not being taken into account
b. You can be a superstar performer but 1 mistake is all it takes for you to be booted out and all you good forgotten
c. You can get all your appraisal scores to be promoted but you are told they are using a bell curve and since this is not military it is not your right to be promoted angry
d. as a direct result of c above Your juniors passing you shocked
e. The tribalism (even Buhari go shame cool
f. Imagining not committing an offense and you leave home telling your family that you will be back in the evening. You try logging into your system and for some reason, you cannot log in kiss. IT will be giving you the run around until when the courier comes in you are called to collect a leter addressed to you which states that unfortunately blah blah your services are no longer required. In fact you had scored 85% in your appraisal just last month grin

the bank you worked. Still awaiting my benefits so will have to be silent on this. Hope you understand cool
your various roles (if you changed roles and departments) started from ET at a branch moved to Head Office and played the office politics, moved to the Zone for a couple of years before i just left
time you left the industry. Left in July 2021

I have never mentioned it being easy. As an individual, i always try as much as possible to prepare for the inevitable.

kindly check careers dot standardbank dot com

there are a couple of vacancies there. Entry level inclusive

Hello boss,

I just went to this site now, but they listed some degrees they take, I didn't see health sciences course there, can someone that study let's say Pharmacy apply?

Leave him alone.

I am currently a staff of the company. I am divulging genuine information and the kind of work environment that is obtainable here. He is sitting behind his keyboard to call me a liar. lol. Wonders.

Stanbic is a great and amazing place to work. If you are a young graduate, you should aspire to join us.
The work environment is top notch.
great pay too.

If you think i am a liar, join the organization and find out. Its that simple

You don't really need to bother yourself with what that guy said. He said he's an ex staff, so any smart person should know his information is obviously not up to date.

See how Bankers are praising Banks as if we do not know the koko. Let me tell you 99% want to bail out but have no option for now grin That is the truth. If you are working in a Bank just know say na stress full head. There is no pain no gain wink If you know you know. Been there done that cheesy

Bank work doesn't revolve around counting and dispensing money aka cashier, just incase you are not aware. Not everyone who works in a bank is a cashier. There are programmers, IT, Tech, Networking gurus, Engineers, Quality Assurance, asin a whole lot. You won't understand if you don't know the system and how it operates.

Good evening all. Please this is not related to the topic under discussion here. I want to get the attention of somebody who wrote something I'm interested in in a thread in 2019 but the thread is dead now. I have sent the person in question a pm but it doesn't appear he/she read it. Please what's the best way to get in touch with such person? I will appreciate a response as the issue needs urgent attention.

Financial institutions will always look for ways to cut cost to increase general profit.
It is a business venture. There are stakeholders and you don’t expect them to declare losses.

It is still the best financial model though. Outsourcing I mean. Just improve their remuneration.

Plus, it’s the second way to join the organization. Most people find it hard to scale through the entry level exams. It’s always a battle you know. But outsourcing and joint as a contract is what I call coming in through the back door. You get to learn the job. Get experience and hopefully convert. When you convert, you’re a step (rank) below the guys who joined as GT. With hard work, dedication and tenacity, you rise through the ranks.

Being a contract staff is not a bad thing. Would you rather stay at home and complain? There are no jobs out there.

Join with a mindset and target. Give yourself a timeline. Get experience. Most banks don’t convert sha. Just a few. Access bank doesn’t convert. If you like work 30,000 years for them.
GT bank converts. Fidelity and I think UBA too.

While in the bank, get necessary skills, do your masters save well and japa if that’s the plan.
Outsourcing is not a bad thing I insist. Just pay better.
Women get things easily done they convert for them

Some of the banks have succeeded in ruining the life of many of our youth in the name of contract and they fail to convert them even after they have Bsc and M.Sc. the CBN ought to do something. Imagine someone working 12 years still on 81k salary

They want to finish me. People who are not in the bank are coming for my head.

Bankers (Full time roles o not contract staff) earn comfortably well. way well than a civil servant.
i did not mince words.
Bankers also do not like disclosing their salary or how much they earn.
Richmond I greet thee sir. Me wey dey level 9 for fed agency I'm on a salary of 129k after deductions. I still thank GOD because I use the time it affords me to level up with side hustle. GOD bless us all.

Boss Good evening
Please I wrote exam in June sent by odessey in regards to Stanbic, though after the exam result wasn't sent.
Then this month I got a mail from an outsourcing firm for documentation. After documentation I got my offer letter for the role of DSA.

Is it how it's done in Stanbic??
