Its actually a call for all of us who has children to be wary and watchful of them. It could be anyone's child. In as much we take this kid to church, coach them at Sunday schools, caution them at home about their misdemeanor, we cannot tell who they relate with and who influences them when they go outside or taken to Dorms or Boarding where they to mix up with their mates or peers. We live in a dangerous society now. Dont point a finger at another when you know you too is not too clean from such acts. Who still remember the case of that boy that killed his disciplinarian Redeemed Christian Church Pastor Father. Sometimes, it may not just be the parents. Some may argue that if you are observant enough you might see the trend, but atimes it might be too late before you finally discover your ward is in a real big shit.
First thing, we must do a thorough review of this our boarding school system. I think it is not really serving the purpose and similar thing is likely to be happening in other boarding schools as we speak yet to be exposed. A school should not just be seen as a business center, we should look at values, culture and ethics too otherwise, we are creating more problems than solving them.

You think so for someone that work in a bank. Have you seen anyone who works in the bank and have time for themselves not to mention of their family. So there's alot of background checkup..if she had a close watch on her kids...he won't turn out to be a bully to other kids. bad parenting is a big societal problem, but we are not ready to talk about it.

Parenting is a societal problem everywhere, not in Nigeria only. It's normal a parent receive backlash on stuffs like this. But Are all bankers bad parents? I don't think so. So as you said, a background checkup is needed.
