Just listen to this one, this is the kinds of shallow reasoning that's prevalent in Nigeria and it's one the reasons why the society is terrible and backward.
Instead of praising the leadership for exposing a crime by one ot them, you are here assuming that it must be because of difference in faith.
Is there any system in anywhere on this universe that can catch all criminals? Hell no.
Even as good as law enforcement is it even in the US, many criminals still get away with their crimes.
There are even many corrupt cops that gets away with planting drugs on innocent people, stealing drug dealers money and drugs.
You can never catch everyone but you make an example of those that you can apprehend.
Simple.
Learn to give kudos when due instead of always looking for faults and blames.

How will Nigeria then prosper as you want it if eyes are totally closed when wrong things are done? I think the last part of your comment is a bigger reason why Nigeria cannot prosper. You already introduce religious bigotry as the likely reason why the superior is trying to correct evil. What is the offender's religion and did it teach him to be collecting bribe? He committed an offence, was caught and should be subjected to appropriate disciplinary procedures.

Because some are doing this evil and are not caught doesn't mean it is right.
