No one can tell me those vandals aren't affiliated directly or indirectly to PDP.

This, and terrorism, are the weapons they hope would force the hand of Nigerians into doing away with APC. But I've got news for them; come rain come shine, PDP is going NOWHERE close to Aso Rock in 2023, period!!

You're happy with what you wrote?

Please who can help me tell these people that we don't need a National Grid...

ONELGA is not on National Grid
Bonny Island is not on National Grid
Redemption Camp is not on National Grid
Cannaland is not on National Grid

Unbundle power generation and supply...is that rocket science?

Then let's forget about single national grid... How can a country as Nigeria be depending on just a single grid? Una just like wàhálà... Let states generate their power and provide security for it that way the citizens of that state will know if they sabotage the facility it will be them in darkness not the whole of Nigeria....

As patriots we must unite and condemn this Destruction of national infrastructure.

We should be reminded that we are in massive debt brought upon us by our failed political elite.
There should be death penalty for sabotage.
There is no reason for this wickedness.

If those our leaders could be enjoying basic amenities in abroad like stable electricity, wondering why it is now a rocket science to provide same in their own country
Do you have mad ppl in US that will just go and destroy train track and power grid stations? We can't continue blaming government when we have Evil Citizens. We must require laws that will severely punish such offenses.

I actually wanted to believe them until they also listed the attack on the Abuja Kaduna rail as one of the causes of the grid collapse. Supporters above are already blaming the opposition in their usual excuses.

Dude simple English u no understand
The attack on Abuja Kaduna rail line wasn't listed as having any effect on the grid collapse rather it was listed among infrastructure usually targeted by saboteur. These monumental destruction has big time negative and effect on the common man. As a nation we should only target those who wrong us rather than collective national assets.

We are happy to blame everything on the I competency of government. Unknowingly, a culture is breeding. Today is buhari, believe me whoever is there tmr will also suffer from sabotage. The culture is been cemented.

What can I say...

One minute we are channeling all our energy Into saying Buhari is evil,
Next minute a civilian does something like this (if this is true) because this is not a group of mere men job, in fact these pictures look like terrorism.

You go just weak untop your keyboard... Like is this country even saveable? undecided
In Edo state, obaseki is taking advantage of the Edo gas plant and powering Edo streets with 6 to dawn lights, hopefully it can be channeled into powering the whole of Edo in the nearest years to come because electricity isn't meant to be a problem in 2022

Was this tower built to standard?
What if this tower fell on it's own?
What proof is there of sabotage?
Can an ordinary citizen sabotage a high tension line without being electrocuted if there is electricity in it?

And the useless government asked multi choice not to increase their TV package. sad

The attack on the Abuja-Kaduna rail line was not listed as one of the causes of the collapse of the national grid. It was listed as one of the examples of sabotage of national infrastructure. The person that created the Twitter thread is the special adviser on infrastructure.

the attack on the train had a goal - passengers for ransom. what is the goal of this? who is behind it? there have been cases of sabotage of transmission lines before [ i did a stint in a transmission related job a decade ago) but this is the first time i am hearing that a transmission tower was basically blown up.

it is really worrisome because it could quite literally be ESN stepping up the ante. now another round of infrastructure to be protected.

Minister, it does not make sense to steal a cable in cross river and Abuja will not have light, decentralization of power is needed. I hope the constitution amendment scale through so states can generate their own power to cater for the needs of their states

I have a feeling the people in charge arenthe ones destroying these infrastructure to:

a. Make their job relevant via sabotage
b. Make it hard to fire or let go as dem only know how to fix it
c. Avenue to get more funding and loot it
d. Give the impression that lack of electricity is not their fault from since independence
e. Blame others for their failures
f. Get a cut from the only very few companies from a contractor perspective that can fix vandalized infrastructure
g. You fill in the blanks _________

Though the country has failed her citizens but sabotage of any kind or magnitude is extremely act of unpatriotism, wickedness and devilish act. The people behind this must be unravelled and dealth with accordingly.
If government has failed that doesn't mean we should also fail as citizens.

This is massive! and it is capable of bringing down any power grid under any form of protections.
