You may be right with that point that a lot of people don't know how to CAll OUT, but it's just so common to see the judge not phrase when issues happen, especially when it involves matters of the church.

Bad behaviour is bad behaviour and it does come with consequences both within and outside the church. Crime is bad behaviour and it's punishable by law.

When one is called a Christian... Christ like...The idea of what will Jesus do should be an utmost important each time one trys to play God...

A lot of people have been offended in the church which Jesus himself might be even shocked at how some matters in the church were being handled....

In terms of bad behaviour, We can't run and condemn bad behaviour like the Government... Christian doctrine is centred on forgiveness... Even on the cross Jesus said father forgive them for they no not what...

When a church condemned a particular bad behaviour of a member which was great, what next? Isolate the individual? Is that what Christ would have done?..yes we can call out the bad behaviour and condemn it but not the individual...

The pastors did nothing to him, he made the conscious choice to stray from his marriage. Second, we should not abuse the word "restoration"... it has suddenly become an excuse for "men of gawd" to do whatever they want and avoid criticism. We should be looking to create role models in the church, not men above the very bible they preach.

What does holier than thou mean?

Is it against, God's word that says be you holy for I am holy?

The point here is God didn't appoint us humans to relief his duty as the judge. Everyone has his or her race and as such should focus on completing his or her own race. If a brother stumbles, the principles of the kingdom would rather we help the brother to regain their balance than to crucify the brother. This is clearly supported by the parable of leaving the 99 to search for the lost one.

In principle, we don't throw the baby with the bath water

Yes o. Talmbout "what pastors did to him", as if he was expecting a pat on the back for a job well done.

The bible says, "if anyone sins, you who are righteous should restore such a one, taking care so that you won't also be tempted".

Restoration involves rebuke and exhortation, i think. But not ostracization.

Overall, we alone can work out our own salvation.

May his soul rest in peace.

Worst part is that after having carnal knowledge of this woman several times and eventually putting her in the family way, he started piling pressure on her to TERMINATE the pregnancy, because it would "ruin" his career.

I like your submission. I have learnt to only go to church to praise and worship God. I usually step out immediately after service and zoom off. Gossiping is more rampant in the church of God. Let's learn to concentrate on God and not on man. The reason why some people are relating with you is because of what they can benefit from you. They will abandon you the moment you are down. The simple truth is that, no matter the effort you put in place to please human being, they will still disappoint you.
