Pastor Otobo .Love hasn't left the church ....love is still present ....the only thing is that we have different kind of people in the body of christ. Those who are worldly-christain, churchly- demon, drminic-personified, nominal Christian, , fake Christian, genuine Christian, weak Christian etc ...

And in situation like this the shepherd over those churches suppose to be who will sense the missing link and correct the abnormalities in the church but instead of them.to do so within ....they will want to defend themselves as if it ain't their responsibility ....

Churches in the past year's are hotter than what we have now ...because the presiding pastor also is as cold as ice water ....

I have my issues with Apostle Suleman, but on this I am 200% behind him. Most men of God in Nigeria are not preaching the real gospel. Who are we to Judge anyone. If u ask me, we killed Sammie Okposo, whoever judged or criticized the man. Even King David that sinned so much, God made Jesus his descendant. A man after God's heart. We need to change out way of practicing Christianity in Nigeria. Will a Muslim throw a fellow Muslim under the bus like we did this man? Christians make we wise up oooo. Even bible says wisdom is profitable ro direct.

God love us and still chastise us, standard of God can not be change because of a person. You are saying this because you are guilty of the sin. Is not the church that caused him to die, it was his mind who failed to have geninue repentance for long time because that bring peace of mind irrespective of what people say or do.

I like your submission. I have learnt to only go to church to praise and worship God. I usually step out immediately after service and zoom off. Gossiping is more rampant in the church of God. Let's learn to concentrate on God and not on man. The reason why some people are relating with you is because of what they can benefit from you. They will abandon you the moment you are down. The simple truth is that, no matter the effort you put in place to please human being, they will still disappoint you.
Too much hypocrisy in the church bros I tell you.

Most Nigerian Christians are largely a disgrace to the clear sacred teachings of Christ... We have become more of Pharisees than Shepherds.

Most Christians are literally triumphant and elated whenever terrible things befall fellow Christians who they consider overbearing or out of line.

If I was just a church worker (not just a member), someone unimportant and unpopular and I had a child outside wedlock, I'll be interrogated before a church committee and suspended from church activities. The energy shouldn't be different for pastors or popular people.

When someone strays, I feel he should be rightly rebuked ( not thrown out) and not indulged. That might even be the 'love' hr need to come back to his senses.

Those showing unnecessary solidarity in the times of wrong may be the enemies that want them to sink deeper into their sins

To rebuke and to castigate are two different things. Rebuke simply means correction which could be verbal and one on one or even among workers in his church setting. To castigate publicly and on media serves one purpose, that is to humiliate and to seem holier than thou. Understand bible when you read it. Jesus says I have come to save the lost not to condemn.

Sammie Okposo case was like that of the adulterous woman. He already accepted his sins and personally committed to withdraw from ministerial assignments to pray for his soul even before the news went public and he came to the media to confess he committed adultery and he is withdrawing to seek forgiveness even before those pastors heard about it. Most heard it from his mouth on the media

Of what use is it for you to embarrass and harass or condemn a repented man in the name of rebuke? He already repented and didn't deny his sin. So what use is the pastors' rebukes! Jesus never condemns a sinner eg that rich publican or adulterous woman because they were already remorseful and repentant but he condemned the pharisees because they were arogant in sin, unrepentant and proud sinners. Most of you pastors are like the pharisees - unrepentant and proud sinners
Do you think only adultery is sin? You are being unnecessarily sentimental on hearing adultery but proudly ignore the fact that you sin against God every Sunday by telling lies on pulpit to con members of their money, you scheme and arrange programs to make money not to save souls, you play dirty pastoral politics whereby you and your fellow pastors keep malice, hate, blackmail, do eye service to gain promotion, you hate to be corrected by your members under you but you want to correct someone. Stop the nonsense
