My younger brother bought a ps4 from jiji apparently from a scammer.
The scammer actually didn't have the ps4 console so he contacted someone else and acted like he was our dad buying the ps4 for us.
The real owner delivered the console and we transferred the money to the scammer thinking the man that brought the ps4 was his delivery guy.

After few days the original owner of the game came to our house one guy and his wife with the delivery man.
They collected the ps4 and threatened to arrest us.
But the husband was considerate and let it slide
My brother wasted 100k just like that.
this was during Christmas period so all the Xmas money gift was wasted
My mom scolded him seriously

Few months later we got some cash and bought ourselves a brand new ps4 console without any scam issue whatsoever
We enjoy the game till today
Whenever we look back at that scam period we just laugh cus that scammer outsmarted us

This is the only problem I have with this tribalistically oriented forum—you don't generalise a whole tribe be them Yoruba, Hausa or Igbo—because of one or two persons even if they are more than that. I was scammed several times in Lagos by 13 different Igbo guys! Also my friend from Rivers was scammed by 5 different Igbo guys in Lagos. I cease doing business with them because all of them are scammers!

xtraincome, got scammed by them this year, I knew it was a fake, lost only 3k, it was introduced by one Melody Onyene, she even has another one called food basket where people are contributing between 1-5k for bags of rice they will never see come December 2023.

Xtraincome is still being promoted by persons in facebook, been trying to report them but it seems FB likes scammers too.

There are a few ways to ascertain if these guys are scammers,

1. They re so arrogant, they dont like people asking them questions about how their schemes work, they just expects you to empty your wallet
because they re god sent.
2. They employ psychological tactics like denigrating people who dont subscribe to their schemes to mount pressure on them to join.

3. Always ask questions , if they start getting angry avoid them like plague.

4. If you re scammed expose them , they behave like muggers relying on you to keep quiet because it hurts to talk about being scammed.

A family friend called me and asked if I'll be interested in civil defense work, I told her yes why wouldn't I? She sent me a number to call the man he'll put me through the process.

I was excited, I called the man who spoke to me calmly, he asked me to send my details to him which include my name, age, height, qualifications and all, i did that without instantly i was sooo fast while typing I'm sure even flash will be trilled at the speed.

The next day he sent a civil defense form to me to fill and scan to his mail, i did that and called him to inform him, he then acknowledge that he has seen it and told me he has forwarded my form to their H.R. I should await their call, i was soo happy immediately i dropped the call i started googling salary of a degree holder of the civil defense officer, saw 151k in my mind i was like their Father i don arrive, i go soon buy Benz.

The H.R called me and told me they've contacted my school to ask if i graduated from their school and they told them yes. He then asked for my c.v and told me to wait for my appointment letter.

Early Thursday morning omo see appointment letter for my mail o!! with my name written in capital letter... I called him to notify him of the new development, he congratulated me and told me i will have to pay the sum of 85k for my 2 weeks training in Kano and the payment must be made before noon but i shouldn't worry the money will be returned after my training but u have to pay early so as not to loose the job. I went ahead to borrow the money from a friend and headed to the bank to make payment i already got inside the bank before calling him to send the acct number im to sent the money, that was how the civil defense H.R sent me Yayah Suleman's acct number, i started asking my self why would federal government send me a private account number to pay for training? called the guy and said o boy u almost fooled me sha, the guy laugh and said u got me nice one and dropped the call...

There are lot of scammers out there who will try to scam you all in the name of giving you employment abeg be careful.

INEC CHAIRMAN MAHMOOD is a scam. He told me my vote will count and the wuruwuru he did on the 25th, I'm yet to recover . I have never seen it in life. I didn't come out to vote on Saturday. Will hardly vote again.
