Here is what I think of in Genesis chapter 1.
First I believe all three persons of the Trinity were present during creation and there are evidence for this.

So, I am going to bold a sentence and comment on which person of the Trinity is being referred to.

First the 'trinity' means the unity of three persons in one God. There is one God yes but this one God exist in three persons (center of consciousness).

A person is a self aware being, not every being is a person for example a tree is not a person but it is a being, a human being is a person because he has self awareness.

So when we say God is a Trinity of persons it means, God has three center of self consciousness that coexist in perfect unity.

In other words God is a 3 fold individualized being, or we can simply say God's being a 3 fold person is the way God's being interact within, himself and the way he is and since God is eternal and unchangeable, the three persons of God's being has always being and will always be, and they retain their individualism and yet in perfect unity without switching from one person to another, for example Jesus is not the Father neither is he the holy spirit and vice versa neither has/will Jesus change to the Father or the holy Spirit. The father has always be who he is and will always be so also is the holy Spirit and the Word. The word has always being the word and was with the father and the Spirit from eternity and will be so throughout all eternity.

Ok Notice, it is this one God not two or three just one, and thus is different from omnipresence, which simply means God unrestricted presence everywhere.

Here is Gensis chapter 1.

Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
This is a summarized statement, no detail is given, God here is the triune God elohim.


The heaven or heavens includes the spiritual realms and angelic host also called hosts of heaven.

Genesis 1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

This is no doubt the third person of the Trinity,

The holy Spirit is the power of God, he enables and cause things to be.

1:3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

I believe one person of God spoke while another person of God acted on it.


1:4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

I believe this remark is given by yet another person of God, he gives remark on what was created.

The father is the authority of God, he ordains, establish and plans.
The word is the reveals what is in the mind of God.
The Holy Spirit act or enable what has being revealed.

We see this same pattern throughout creation,
This pattern is
1. God speaks

2 God responds to what was spoken by carrying it out.

3 God gives a remark, name it and gives his blessing on what has being created.

This is a clear evidence of the Trinity right there in the first book of the bible.
