504 in the eighties was about ₦4850.

Maybe a Mercedes Benz 280 went for up to ₦10,000, but I seriously doubt that.

₦1 back in the eighties is more than ₦1000 now.

Still, a lot of people started businesses back then....a lot of my Dad's friends owned petrol stations, bakeries and stuff. Dad opted to be a farmer.

Well, guess what?

Most businesses set up back then are dead now.....I still pass by some of the carcasses of petrol stations and be like.....wow......Nigeria kills business.

Nice research!

₦1 was more than $1 back then, though.....I'm sure you know that.

Maybe those started by people in or close to power.

A lot of businesses have crashed, far more than those which survived.

When even multinationals packed their stuff and ran?

I would love you to have a positive outlook.
In tough terrains, there will always be people who despite not connected to those in power thrive in their own way.

It's not really about how connected you are to government otherwise the multinationals would thrive. Even though that has its benefits-being connected to government.

Business sustainability is deeply about innovation despite changing times and seasons.
