Are you people even serious?
You want to take precautionary measures to dictate headache when the malaria is accumulating in the system? Is it not when you have adequately improved electricity generation and supply nationwide that you'll be in any place to create avenues for complaints reception and follow-up?

No be who don first get light go complain about outage for the App..😂? How in God's name did we degenerate to this point where we consider it normal behaviour to put the cart before the horse?!

Abi. That is what happens when mediocres are voted in based on tribal and religious sentiments.

This one is a brain-dead donkey! Who even told you the NERC needs an App to know the range of electricity distribution in the country? These thieves just found an avenue to mop up cash for their personal interests, in the name of creating a complaints resolution App. Abi you want make we investigate tell you the hundreds of millions that must have been buried into this dustbin initiative?

We are just wasting manpower, manhour and resources in this country.
Why can't we just give everybody prepaid meter. With prepaid meter, no light, no money. Very simple.
The only reason why discos will not bother if there are power outages is because they can always bill the customers whatever they wish and the customer must pay. So, no need to monitor any outages by any non electricity staff.

Exactly!

Where's the much touted e-naira?

The Nigerian Police launched a similar App to this NERC nonsense, a handful of months ago, claiming it was their own digitisation efforts towards combating crimes as Nigerians could lay their complaints even down to reporting errant policemen. Not only have the Police been too overwhelmed with the increased crime occurrences, but the said App has been jettisoned and forgotten.

Or should we talk about the 500 million naira Lai Muhammed appropriated for the digitisation and upgrade of the Nigerian Television Authority, which never saw the light of day? Only thing Lai did was to register NTA on twitter from whence they've been breaking news with their dull and annoying logo.

This is not me being a pessimist. This is me being a Nigerian realist. This NERC nonsense is uncalled for, needless, totally inconsequential and an avenue to pillage the government coffers, by thieving NERC officials.

You can say that again!

They should know that the app would not be able to sustain or contain the number of complants it would get in a day. It'll definitely crash. This app would be a total crap

Same here In my place In Ibadan.... Very constant power supply
Oga, no talk that thing. There are many areas in Ibadan that do not steady supply of electricity. Except for some few posh areas in the city, Ibadan electric supply is generally not good. Many parts in Ogbomoso too.
I'm currently in Iwo now, and we have not had 'light' for 5 days now. So, how has the electricity supply improved?

You are very funny Sha.... Iwo loun loun , even Ibadan is splitter into many substation

Anyways the reason for this is we use the power substation in sawmill, and power plant from oshogbo/Ife , and we have atleast 16 hrs daily power

This is what the new app hopes to show

You, the FG and that App are all not well!

Over half of Nigeria is still reeling in daily blackouts and you're busy supporting this nonsense. Government wey never fit achieve at least 12 hours of daily electricity as nationwide average, is launching a power outage App.

People wey normal for this country no pass 40, and you no follow for inside.

They should launch estimated billing app because this NEPA don dey injure those without prepaid meters with outrageous bills. I went to a place some weeks back and a very old woman was lamenting how she was slammed with 50k bill for just one month. A poor woman in a small apartment of room and a palour self contain she managed to built. No ac, refrigerator etc. Just 6 electric bulbs and two standing fans and a small tv. This is terrible.

When has the Nigerian govt ever done anything for the masses? Lol

Don't be surprised when you heard they spent $1 billion dollars yo create and launch the App.
Also don't be surprised if within the next 3 months the App crash for too much reporting and overstretched app.

This is commendable.

The functionality should extend to a feature that enables you know when there's power outage in your area and check your balance of electricity units left by using the app.
FG should appoint a special investigator to audit NERC and all the discos , Gencos,TCN and meter companies who have been taking electricity subsidies for years till now. Check my signature for free stuffs!

You can't check your balance with your phone because your meter is not connected to the internet.
