In a ceremony celebrating community spirit and private investment, Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, has commissioned a market and a 2.27 km road in Eziora Ozubulu, Ekwusigo Local Government Area.

Both projects were built by High Chief Sir Kenneth Ifekudu, showcasing the power of individual philanthropy and commitment to local development.

Governor Soludo eulogized Sir Ifekudu, calling him "the kind of personalities ndi Anambra should be celebrating."

The Governor who commended the entrepreneur's dedication to "Aku luo uno;" the Igbo concept of utilizing wealth for community benefit, highlighted the market's potential for fostering peace and prosperity for Ozubulu and the wider Anambra community.

He reiterated his government's emphasis on PPCP, stating, "Private individuals, communities, and companies must rise up to complement government's efforts."

He emphasized the importance of community-driven initiatives, highlighting ongoing government projects in Ozubulu and the development of three new planned cities including Awka 2.0, Onitsha 2.0, and the Industrial City.

The Governor outlined priorities in human capital development, including free education in public schools, free antenatal and delivery services, and other programmes aimed at empowering the underprivileged, reaffirming his commitment to running a government for the poor.

Also speaking, Chief Ifekudu expressed excitement over Governor Soludo's presence and his strong support for the "Aku luo uno" policy.

He enumerated his contributions, including installing 600 solar lights across Ozubulu, constructing a market and 3km of road, stating that Governor Soludo's leadership motivated him to further dedicate his resources to his community.

The event was attended by Chief of Staff to the Governor, Mr. Ernest Ezeajughi, Chief Protocol Officer, Hon Chinedu Nwoye, Commissioner for Works & Infrastructure Engr Ifeanyi Okoma, Commissioner for Housing & Urban Development Pauli Onyeka, Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Community Affairs, Mr Tony Nwabunwanne, the Obi of Ozubulu, Igwe Nnamdi Fidelis Oruche among others.

Governor Soludo Solicits Partnerships To Deliver Developmental Projects

The Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Soludo says strategic partnerships between government, the private sector and communities can transform the state if exploited.

Governor Soludo stated this when he commissioned a 500m road project, constructed in Umueri, Anambra East Local government area, built by Chief Josephat Onwualor, an indigene of the community.

The Governor explained that the state government does not have enough resources to confront development needs of the state, but can leverage on such partnerships to attract and gather resources for the good of ndị Anambra.

According to Governor Soludo who lauded Chief Onwualor for such project, it lays credence to the benefit of private-public partnership in engendering development.

While calling on more ndị Anambra to key into the partnership opportunity offered by his administration and invest in the state, the Governor emphasized that PPCP is key to unlocking Anambra's development potential, expressing optimism that the state will be better of in 2024.

On his part, the Traditional Ruler of Umueri, Igwe Ben Emeka said that Governor Soludo is delivering democracy dividends to ndị Anambra and deserves all the support

Igwe Emeka thanked the Governor for his efforts, urging him to continue to persevere.

The Commissioner for Works, Engr. Ifeanyi Okoma, his Power and Water Resources counterpart, Engr. Julius Chukwuemeka, Member representing Anambra East at the state house of Assembly, Honourable Obi Nweke, Transition Committee Chairman for Anambra East Council Areas, Dr. Anselm Onuorah, among others, attended the event.

Sane Nigerians that can. Discern abeg compare the two n then wonder why Abaribe after 30 years in the national assembly as no single project yet Akpoti that is less than a year is commission street on several km while Gbajabiamilla who spent less than 20 years in same NA commission several billion naira worth of projects today.
