I mean I don't get it, as soon as you hit 20, infact in some villages in Africa, as soon as you hit 15, family members get on your back for you to get marry. Is marriage everything in life? Is marriage the secret to happiness or what? If not, why is there a huge pressure on girls to married? Especially in our African communities. Some parents do not even care whether you've found someone you love, all they care about is you getting marry and giving them grand kids. Well infact there not many successful marriages out there, so why is marriage so overrated?  |

Some folks still believe that a woman without a man is incomplete; the only purpose of humans is to get married and procreate; and a ton of other primitive and archaic ideas. That being said, we are in the age of "do whatever you wanna do--middle finger to the society". If you're happy living a marriage-less life; Great! If you're unhappy without a man, get married (if that would solve your problem). If you've found love and wish to get married. Sweet! Just do you. |

It is always good for a lady to get married on time, it is for her own good, because a time would come that she would not be able to get pregnant and give birth (menopause) while the men can keep making babies, till forever, i guess!!!! . |

BABE!: You cannot be happy living a marriageless life in Nigeria, you will be reminded of how miserable you must be everywhere you go. You shall always be regarded as someone with a huuuuuuge problem no matter how comfortable you initially feel with your situation, at the end you may start to feel exactly the way you are addressed. It is a sad thing in my opinion as it does not make young men to develop in character, because everybody knows that no matter how ill mannered a guy is, there will be a gal ready to marry him even if it is just to get out of spinsterhood, then the struggle begins |
