Waste of resources it is. Why not use the money to create more sea ports to decongest lagos port. Create one in Ondo, modernise the one at Koko in delta state and another one in the S/E. The ROI would have been massive.

But he won't do that because his company hitech would lose out of the project. He won't see anything to eat.

This is a fucking useless comment.

how Obis condemnation of the project an affront against niger delta? you earlier claimed that "Peter Obi doesn't want the progress for the Niger Delta." can you explain how peter obi does not want the progress of the niger delta? is it this road that will make niger delta progress? are you saying that if this road is not built niger delta will not make progress?

Roads boost trade through the easy transfer of goods and services by interconnecting areas.

Roads also help economies and reduce poverty by creating jobs for artisans, drivers and masons. The fact that the road would go through Niger Delta states means that the people would be employed and fend for themselves. In addition, it improves tourism and boost connections among our people.

The bulk of the funds for the country comes from the Niger Delta. They deserve a signature project.

Finally, the road can be a revenue generator in the long run when it is tolled. Opening up areas through road networks bring development in every ramification.

Anyone against this project is anti-progress.

Okay. Let me help you. You say someone is a cocaine sniffing thug. If a cocaine sniffing thug defeats me in an election, I'd commit suicide because it proves a cocaine thug messed me up.

You'd argue that Peter Obi won the election. Even Peter Obi himself does not believe he won the election. It is characteristic of a supporter of someone who came 3rd in an election and claimed 1st, but could not prove it because he didn't believe in it. If he believed he came 1st, why was he asking that the candidate who came 1st be disqualified for alleged double nomination of his running mate, which turned out to be a blatant lie? If he believed he came 1st, why was he dying about IREV? Didn't his party agents have their own results? IREV is a viewing portal and not a collation center. If he believed he won, why didn't he present his results from his party agents from the collation center?

Cry all you want, Tinubu remains your president. Deny your loss, it will never make your demi-god the president. Accuse Tinubu of the inability of your penis to function, there is only one person in pains: the one who cannot accept his fate.

If anyone from the Niger-Delta comes across the thread, please remember that some of you voted for Peter Obi. Peter Obi has demonstrated he is against the progress of the Niger Delta communities. The bulk of the funds for running our economy comes from the Niger Delta. But he says a big project to criss-cross the Niger Delta is a misplaced priority.

Note that the US spent their way out of recession through the New Deal which focused on massive infrastructural development across board, including roads. There is no nation interested in progress that is currently not engaged in one form of infrastructural development or the other. But the one which is 60 years old overdue in Nigeria, Peter Obi is fighting it, simply because he lost election.

If he didn't build anything meaningful in Anambra, I think it is disingenuous to fight against something being built through the Niger Delta. Thanks to Tinubu's ingenuity, Lagos is undergoing massive infrastructural development and embarking on an audacious railway project which the likes of Rufai Oseni would condemn.

Peter Obi doesn't want the progress for the Niger Delta. He just wants to get the votes and use anti-developmental and archaic ideas to ruin this country completely.

Only vote for those who want progress to be in your land. With this tweet, Peter Obi has shown he is not interested in that.

As for the Landmark CEO who has been all over the place making noise, can he show us documents where the shorelines and beaches in his location were ceded to him? If he violated the right of way, it is evil for him to complain. The best thing to do was to meet and find ways to relocate his business or shift to an area where the coastal highway won't pass. When I travelled through Accra-Cape Coast highway, part of which was adjacent to the ocean, it was a beautiful sight with the blue waters! Guess what? Beaches still functioned!!

Just to add, a road network is also a delight for businesses. Food can easily be transported from rural areas to urban centers and those in rural communities would make good money.

But Peter Obi does not want this.

TRASH AS USUAL. I am from Niger Delta and Peter Obi said nothing but the truth. Keep sentiment aside

Thank God the colossal failure didn't emerge president, he would have left Yorubaland especially Lagos to rot away while he'd focus on fixing his Igbo people everywhere in juicy positions at Abuja and pushing his ethnic domination agenda throughout the country. Empty vessel.

God pass haters.. The Lagos-Calabar coastal highway is a more cost efficient way of reducing all the trailer and tanker queues at Lagos ports causing untold hardship on Lagosians.

sorry, let get you right. if we have to go by your claim about what Obi did in Anambra as a criteria for him to criticise tinubu, what qualified tinubu and buhari to criticise Jonathan? if you say thank God that Obi didnt emerge as president, can we thank God that tinubu emerged as president? you are accusing obi of "pushing ethnic agenda but what are you pushing with this comment: "he would have left Yorubaland especially Lagos to rot away while he'd focus on fixing his Igbo people everywhere in juicy positions at Abuja"

how will The Lagos-Calabar coastal highway reduce all the trailer and tanker queues at Lagos ports? what concerns the road and congestion at lagos port?

Are they going to build the coastal highway on swampy mangrove forest or in the creeks?

Before doing such a project, you carry out a geotechnical test to know the depth to competent soil to anchor your foundation (Dave Umahi knows this). If you need to pile the area to anchor a competent foundation, you do it. If you see it is more economical to route the road elsewhere due to incompetent soil, you do it.

Correct 💯
You have made very valid points and obi just showed the whole world that he is a boy in suffisticated essential projects. This makes Tinubu the only and best candidate among them in service delivery. Imagine the benefit of coastal super highway to Nigeria in future. I remembered when dangote refinery was to be constructed, it was a lot of pains to the community relocations and business affected, Tinubu was tagged different bad names to have sold the future to a northerner among several people insulted. Today, those people have buried their faces in shame. 8yrs after Imagine the refinery benefits to the community and entire country? It's simply visionary.

No IBO dead or alive can stop that project.

OBASANJO is alive today to witness everything. Who is OBI? To me OBI is nobody if not for Nigeria situation. He is a nobody. Obasanjo, Baba Ayo Adebanjo and Doyin Okupe gave him a platform. Colonel Victor Banjo - a Yoruba planned Biafra war strategy, led Biafra to War. Eventually when he realized things cannot work, he opted for alternative options. They said he planned coup against Ojukwu, he was executed .

I pity the IBOS. This OBI is having propaganda depression.

Your late Uncle Chukwumerije started propaganda in Nigeria. We were told he was the Biafra Director of Information. While thousands of Biafra people were dying he was boasting and bragging on Biafra Radio that Biafra soldiers have killed Nigerian soldiers. He said they killed Murtala Muhammed and the entire soldiers. He said so many things. He said they killed Benjamin Adekunle and the entire Marine Commando .

I believe the way things are going another Chukwumerije will carry another propaganda again. During war, victimization crying will no longer work.
