zeusdgrt: "Who I am", not "who am". It's people like you that reply the question "How are you" with "Am fine". As we were saying, why are you on nairaland "Mr employed"? An employed person is going back and forth with an unemployed person on nairaland. Are you sure you are really employed? Mr employment. 😅😅. |

Politics / Re: Obaseki's N70,000 Minimum Wage's Greek Gift - Okpebholo by ehissi(m): 8:52pm |
ddippset: I sense you have trust issues when it comes to politicians in Nigeria. You are not alone there, but try and be a little rational & logical in your observations so that your opinions aren't coloured by bias.... The increment is good for the workers, I don't expect you to appreciate it because you are not working in the civil service in Edo state.... Implementation is from May 1, which means from May 28th he will start paying. Obaseki will be out by January, so he will be carrying the burden of paying till then... He isn’t transferring anything, if he had copied Oshiomole's style and set implementation to after he has left office, I will definitely join you in condemning Obaseki. Go & check my posts on nairaland, when Oyetola (Former Governor of Osun) of the APC increased the Salaries of workers & employed thousands of new workers and made changes to his cabinet after APC lost to PDP at the election, I condemned it. Especially when the state was owing backlog and couldn't afford to pay the existing wage then. They did it to punish Governor Adeleke, even NLC (state and National) condemned Oyetola..... Remember, the current increment became necessary after the removal of subsidy by the FG on May 1 2023, that pushed up the pump price of fuel & subsequently sent the nation into spiralling inflation.... Between May 29, 2023 when Tinubu ended subsidy and inadvertently increased cost of living and May 1, 2024 when Obaseki increased salary is 11 months..... My question is this, is it awkward for a governor to use 11 months to prepare to increase minimum wage in the state by 75%? Must he revert the minimum wage increment in the state to satisfy the opposition at the expense of the workers welfare? Shouldn't he be commended for increasing minimum to #70,000 from #40,000 as opposed to FG that gave a maximum increase of just 35% from #30,000 across all salary scales? Mind you he took minimum wage from #30,000 to #40,000 and he paid it promptly without owing once (keep in mind that his predecessor, Adams Oshiomole was owing almost 2years salary when obaseki took over. He paid backlogs and increased it to #40,000 and still yet), opposition said don't mind him, he is a useless man, he thinks he can deceive the people ( It wasnt even election season when he increased it). He has now increased it to #70,000, "don't mind him, he thinks he can deceive the people".....when will the people be eventually convinced that workers welfare is a priority for him.... And who are the people by the way? The workers he is paying? He wants to deceive the workers by paying them a higher wage? He introduced Contributory pension system & ever since Edo state has never owed gratuity, "don't mind Obaseki, he think he can deceive the people".... Chaai! Nigerians dey forbid better thing, that is why God allowed Buhari enter power. If not, we for still dey talk say PDP na the problem for this country |

EreluRoz: Some of your comments are just so weird, who created Rivers state? The people known as Ikwerre (whose relatives are in Rivers and Imo) have existed way before Nigeria or even Rivers state existed. You Nigerians must stop defining people's border with this artificial borders created by Nigeria and Europeans. How's Rivers an Ijaw state when the Ijaw people are older than the state and even Nigeria? |

We have better forensic team on nairaland than in the police force. I can bet that when they remove her from there, they would just go and dump the body in the morgue, no investigation will be done, no forensic. Only an eye witness account can solve this case. |

Travel / Re: General-german-student-visa-enquiries Part 8 by hephii: 7:30pm |
Hi everyone...yesterday, I got my visa, with no approval mail (AM). So what happened was: I emailed the consolute yesterday morning at 8 about updates and my intended travel date since time was running out. I don't know if they saw it but I got a call from them around 10 am. I told her how I needed it soon so she asked when I am supposed to travel (which makes me think the call may not have been because of the email because I indicated it there. Or maybe it was, and she was just clarifying what she had read). Anyway, I told her it was supposed to be 28th April but I moved my reservations to a particular date next week [not disclosing it here]. She then asked me if I could bring my passport before 12pm that day. So I did. I got there about 8 minutes to 12. I saw that they were dispatching people's documents via DHL. Anyway, I was called to submit my passport, and then I started waiting. I was quite confused because I thought people dropped their passport and health insurance or travel date and then went on their way (I had already submitted a 6 month health insurance on my interview day). But I was kept waiting. A few others came, were attended to and left. About 1hr and some minutes later, they finally called me again (mind you, there was hardly amy queue. I came when it was empty--or maybe one person was being attended to-- and only about 4 more people came in the span of that hour while I was waiting). Sha, they called me. They gave me paper to sign receipt of my documents. And then handed me my DHL parcel, already opened. And my passport was there with my visa stamped. So that's my goodnews 😊 I'm cat A and this is my timeline. Phd with host agreement. Applied: 04.03.2024 Was given a date: 07.03.2024 Interview: 03.04.2024 Submitted birth certificate: 04.04.24 Request for extra documents from the visa-team in germany: wed 24.04.2024 Submitted the documents via encrypted email: Thurs, 25.04.2024 after working hours, around after 5pm Ng time Confirmed receipt of email amd documents: Fri, 26.04.24 at almost 10 am. Asked for updates from the germany people and lagos people: Thurs, 8 am, 02.05.24 Got a call for passport submission: 10 am, 02.05.24 Got my visa stamped in passport and other orginal documents: around 1:15pm, 02.05.24 I share my timeline because seeing other people's own was very helpful. I am also so so thankful for this community on nairaland. Was able to receive encouragement and aid on various processes. I pray for you all, a speedier process too. Amen 1 Like |

Nairaland / General / Transforming Thin Locks: A Guide To Volumizing Clip In Extensions by lexiwatson(f): 6:59pm |
For those looking to enhance their thin, curly hair, clip-on extensions offer a transformative solution. By adding volume and length, these accessories allow individuals to experiment with various hairstyles that may not be possible with their natural hair texture. This guide will dive into the different types of hair volumizers, with a special focus on those designed for curly textures, comparing the materials and manufacturing techniques that make each unique. Understanding Clip-On Extensions for Curly Hair The Kinky Curly Hair Extensions Clip In market offers a range of options designed specifically to mimic the texture and behavior of naturally curly hair. These extensions are available in various curl patterns, from loose waves to tight spirals, ensuring a perfect match that enhances the natural hair without looking out of place. Clip-on extensions are a popular choice for those wanting to add instant volume and length without the commitment of permanent extensions. The convenience of clipping them in and out makes them particularly appealing. For individuals with curly hair textures, it is essential to choose extensions that blend seamlessly with their natural curls. Exploring Materials and Manufacturing Techniques When it comes to selecting the right extensions, the material is key. Synthetic fibers are a cost-effective option, but they can sometimes look unnatural and lack the versatility of human hair. Human hair extensions, on the other hand, offer a more natural appearance and can be styled just like your own hair. Hair Enhancement products have evolved significantly, with advances in technology allowing for more realistic and high-quality options. Human hair extensions, treated and processed to create the perfect curl, are often the preferred choice for those looking to maintain a natural and authentic look. The Role of Bio-Engineered Fibers As the demand for more natural-looking hair extensions grows, manufacturers are turning to advanced technologies to meet consumer needs. Bio-engineered fibers are a groundbreaking development in the world of hair volumizers. These fibers are designed to replicate the look and feel of human hair, providing an ethical and sustainable alternative without compromising on quality. The incorporation of bioengineered materials into hair extensions manufacturing not only enhances the durability of the products but also ensures they remain indistinguishable from real human hair. This technology not only supports the aesthetic needs of the wearer but also caters to the growing environmental and ethical concerns associated with traditional hair sourcing methods. Caring for Your Extensions Maintaining the quality of your clip-on extensions is crucial to preserving their appearance and longevity. Whether synthetic or human hair, proper care involves gentle washing, conditioning, and safe storage. For curly extensions, using curl-defining products can help maintain the shape and texture of the curls, ensuring they always look their best. Conclusion Clip-on extensions are an excellent option for those with thin, curly hair looking to add volume and style. By choosing the right material, especially innovative bio-engineered fibers, and maintaining proper care, individuals can enjoy a natural-looking enhancement that elevates their everyday look. If you're intrigued by the idea of hair extensions, consider beginning with reputable companies such as ONYC Hair, which is celebrated for its exceptional quality and variety. They offer an extensive selection tailored to various hair textures and styles. By opting for esteemed US Based Hair Companies, you invest in high-quality extensions that offer durability, a natural look, and blend effortlessly with your own hair.

22jumpstreet: My God! How on earth is Cyrus the suffering servant? In what way did Cyrus suffer? 1. How was Cyrus bruised for anyone's iniquity? 2. How was Cyrus wounded for anyone's sins? 3. How was the chastisement of anyone's peace laid on Cyrus? 4. How did we esteem Cyrus smitten of God and afflicted? 5. How did Cyrus take away anyone's sorrow or pains? 6. How the visage of Cyrus changed so that he had not beauty for anyone to desire him? 7. How was Cyrus cut off the earth for anybody's iniquity? 8. How did Cyrus make his soul a sacrifice for sin and saw his generation afterwards? 9. How was Cyrus led to the slaughter like a sheep dumb before its shearers? 10. How did God lay upon Cyrus "The inquity of us all." Or should I start dissecting the entire Isaiah 53 to make you see how Cyrus didn't fulfil that too? This is spiritual blindness of a very high order! |
