An American Pastor, Reverend Wess Magruder, has decided to partake in the Muslims holy month of Ramadan this year with his Muslim friends, by fasting, praying and reading the Holy Quran.

The United Methodist has not only decided to observe the Ramadan fast this year but also to share his experience on his personal blog, Shia-Online reported.

"I feel a constant “buzz” [during the fast] in my head," Magruder wrote on his blog.

"This buzz serves a useful purpose, by the way. It keeps me conscious of God, of God’s presence, of God’s will that is bursting to become real in the world. And so when something else isn’t going on in front of me, the buzz reminds me to speak to God," he added.

Magruder also wrote that he turned to the Muslim faith for inspiration since he knew that Muslims have successfully been fasting for 30 days each year during Ramadan for over fourteen hundred years.

“I feel very happy and fortunate now,” Magruder wrote, who has succeeded in fasting from sunrise till sunset.

In his blog, Magruder invited all people of the Christian faith to try the fasting experience even for one day.

The Muslim fast is a total abstention from eating and drinking during the daylight hours. Furthermore, the fast goes beyond stomach and includes the eyes, the tongue, the ears, and all limbs which are expected to be trained to submit to the pleasure of God by refraining from ill manners and moral vice.

it is a step at a time.and God best knows the intentions of man.this could be an inspiring start to become a Muslim,or could serve other purposes as well.it could serve him well personally,which is the purpose of his fast.and it could also serve unity and understanding each other from the two religions.

I agree with you. Your Muslim God is a god of technicality. Your technical god is so technical he instructs people to make technical bombs on his behalf so he can judge them on how many people the technical bomb kills. What a great technical god you serve.



PS: The good thing is no one, not even your god, gives a shyt about your technicality. The God I serve, the Allah I worship is not a god of technicalities. He is more interested in your intentions. And that is the only thing that counts. Now shove your technicality jargon up your a/s/s and I hope you, your wife, children and family rot in here for every technical mistake or shortcomings you commit while on this technical earth. edicolove: The guy is not a serious pastor. Many christians fast sometimes as much as seven days without food. Millions of Christians fast for 3 days without food at least once a year. If the so called pastor has not fasted this much before, he certainly is not a true pastor. Most Christians really don't consider the muslims kind of fast as fasting because if I have to eat that much before 6am in the morning, I don't think I will feel like am fasting at all. That is not to say the muslims fasting is wrong, just saying we Christians view fasting differently and actually in a more stringent way. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion on fasting but these American pastors just fulfil the prophecy of Jesus that in the last days, false prophets shall arise.
