John Vianney and his heart is dead.

Talk your own...

The trees that were processed to make that book you worship are dead.

Then I'm also reffering to the dead trees you misled people are worshipping. Pagans!!!!

The only people i know that worship trees/wood/stone with carvings made by human imaginations are Catholics. The new one in vogue is veneration of dead meat.

I believe one day we might get more diabolical practices you guys hiding from us.

What was the spiritual significance of Elisha's bones (2Kgs 13:20,21)?

In the old testament they didnt have the luxury of an in-dwelling Holy Spirit and needed the personal presence of the Lord.

You still havent answered my question. What is the significant of a moldy old heart?

The answer you crave...lies in the answer to my question.

Dear friend i answered you. Back in the old testament, the people didnt have the luxury of an in-dwelling Holy Spirit. They had to rely on physical acts divine power unlike us who now have a advocate with the Father through the blood shed on the cross. God used a myriad of opportunities to reach His people - Elisha's bones, a river, an ass, a harlot etc. Do we also venerate a river for curing Naaman of his leprosy?

Acts 19: 11 "God did extraordinary miracles through Paul, 12 so that even handkerchiefs and aprons that had touched him were taken to the sick, and their illnesses were cured and the evil spirits left them."

God also used handkerchiefs and aprons that had touched St Paul to reach His people.

Did this also happen in the Old Testament or it happened in the New Testament?

Be honest, if it were Catholics taking handkerchiefs and aprons that had merely touched a priest or bishop to the sick, what would you say about us?

they did not bow before the handkerchiefs or aprons as the Catholics bow before a piece of mummified rotten flesh.

1. So does the moldy heart heal or cure evil spirits?

2. I do not subscribe to the use of handkerchiefs by pentecostals.

The heart of St. John Vianney, like Elijah's bones, St Peter's shadow, the handkerchiefs and aprons that touched St Paul...cannot cure anything by themselves. However they can cure evil spirits and even do much more through the power of God that is communicated through them and other relics.

davidylan: 2. I do not subscribe to the use of handkerchiefs by pentecostals.

Forget about those fraudsters. Do you subscribe to the use of handkerchiefs and aprons in Acts 19?

Do you agree that you were wrong in thinking that relics were only permissible in the Old Testament?

even if it is possible for God to perform miracles via other medium, that is not an excuse to worship a rotten heart. The catholics tore the chest of a dead person and ripped the heart so that the spirit of God could pass through it and perform miracles? Is that what ur saying?
Thought ur pope is all powerful and vicar of christ yet he and his 1.2 billion follower depend on some bunch of rotten meat for miracle...what a shame.

Are you now angry that i exposed this idolatry with a sound analogy. The bolded is history, learn from it. They knew of the power manifested through the brazen snake in the wilderness. but when they kept it as a relic, they never knew how much they have offended God. this is it, a relic and an idol rejected by God.

You are ignoring one glaring difference. No one dug up Elisha's bones, place in a jar and bow before it. No one worshiped the handkerchiefs and aprons that Paul blessed to heal the sick. Apples to oranges here.

The bowing before a piece of flesh is a pratice that I disagree with. embarassed
The same happens in Cele where some people go and pray at Papa Oshoffa resting place.
hmmmm

People who operate in this realm are just following the traditions of men.
This is the reason a christain should read and study the bible. smiley

Thank God for making his word freely available. wink

Sigh. I didnt ignore or dodge your questions because essentially they are red herrings meant to obscure the real facts here. The "relics" you mention in the scriptures were NEVER at any time objects of veneration. So what exactly is the correlation?

Again this is a deliberate twisting of the truth... no one worships or kneels before the bible. It is merely an instructional manual.
