sorry fellas , been out a while, i've made some progress both design and render over this time, here are some of ma latest.

@ She 2, follow this link and go to the tutorial part, this should sort u out. materials are one complicated thing in vray and truth be told there can only be tips to create particular materials say glass, wood, etc, to get it right, u have to browse more and follow online tips, cheers

To all vray_people.
If you think your rendering is really tight, its high time you put your work into a very nice software called boujou.Boujou is a tracking software, used to bring 3d model into live footage.sorry if i am going deep,i guess you people know tracking is the idea behind 'film tricks'(make to believe). You will see the good use of your work, yeah its time.

good one but plenty noise,
Re: V_ray Forum by CGKing(m): 4:30pm On Jan 07, 2011
Yeah, the thing was trying to render for 8 hours, i didnt have that time so i reduced all the quality.
Re: V_ray Forum by 5p1naz(m): 5:42pm On Jan 07, 2011
try this,
the only settings you'd have to tamper with is the ones marked in red. . .
when you are ready to render,
- press f10 on your keyboard to open the render setup box
- then click on "setting"
- then change the "default geometry to Dynamic" as you see on the screen. . . your render time should reduce. . .

lemme know if it works

5p1naz

Sorry, 20 hours, lol. I no fit. maybe when i get an assistant PC.

Anyway, i noticed u had an excellent tutorial on this thread, i didnt see that before. Thanks for helping us up here. After reading it i noticed my vray version may not be complete, there r only 2 vray light: vray light and vray sun. I do not have a vray IES. So it must b the features were reduced, it being a non commercial version. Could u link me up to a full version for max 9? I have the plugin for 2010 but its terribly slow on my PC.
