I don't live in Ikorodu, but I live in Lekki. I've been to Ikorodu before. Well, my point is that certain traditions do more harm than good.

Let me reiterarte that not all our customs are evil. For instance, look at the Argungun fishing festivals, Benue dance troup, Calabar annual festival to mention but a few.
...

You are a fvcking bigot. The only reason why you are saying they are not evil is because they are not religious-related.

we Traditionalists are not dancers or entertainment people. go fuvck yourself.

The tradition rulers must know that they have their own part of responsibility to develop the country.

Behaving this way is ridiculous, backward and retrogressive.

How does this act involve killing of twins or any human? did you even read the write up at all? It was stated that an idol will be paraded around town and it is advisable for people to stay at home to avoid disrupting the rite proceeds.

Stop being a brain washed black slave..wake up

So what's the consequences of disrupting such rites ? Men open your eyes. You guys feel you are wise by accepting these demonic culture. Innocent lives will be lost, movement will be hindered and you say it is tradition.

There was a case similar to this in Rivers State. Two people were missing the next day. I leave it to you, the so call liberated black man and yet you are begging the West for help in curing Ebola Virus grin. You guys are a bunch of contradiction.

1. Can you prove that innocent lives were lost during today's rite?

2. You complain that movement will be hindered for something that ended around 6am or so but the traffic gridlock being caused by religious camps along the expressways for hours and days does not hinder movement to you and you see it as okay?

3. To the bolded, because 2 black people were missing the next day after a traditional rite, you decide to push the blame on our tradition? Why didnt your brain ponder if it was a normal kidnap, or one of your pastors or imam kidnapped such individuals for their coded sacrifices.

4. Nigerians wont be begging for cure for ebola virus if we accepted our own beliefs, values, practices and norms..Have you ever thought that before white men came to africa the only major disease we experienced then was malaria..but since the day people like you abandoned your traditions to accept foriegn gods, we have no other choice than to succumb to the pathetic case we are in now.

What a stu.pid backward reasoning. Go worship your fetish idols of that dead jewish man .

Do we look like Calabaris here? Why are you bringing Calabaris on a Yoruba Religious Thread?

Kindly fvck off and stop wasting my time.

Go and worship you wood and clay. It is Westernization that has made you computer literate. What has your traditional religion done for you ? Christianity established schools and free health care which Im sure you are also enjoying. If you have malaria fever, you won't drink agbo. You will run to the nearest clinic to get some treatment.

If you are sensible, you will see that I mentioned the -ves of these traditions which also include your favourite masquerade dance. Whether Calabari, Yoruba or Kanuri masquerade dancing is rubbish and backward. U hear. Case close.

Yes this is Lagos - ikorodu is a home town to many lagosians. They are in their village already, it's you who should go to your village and leave them alone

You don't belong here, respect the culture of the place you find yourself, if you don't like it run to ur village

You mean this wood and clay :

It is not just Westernization. The Japs, the INdians, etc., all contributed to modern technology.

Nowhere is computers mentioned in the bible. Most of these scientitst were not even religious or christians to begin with.

Traditional Religion has contributed to my daily spiritual needs which is what a religion is supposed to do>. Not make ipads or bomb people.

Do you wash your A$$ with a comb? Seriously jorr get a life! Everything has its own function. Why are you comparing two different unrelated things

And btw Africa had its own Indigenous "clinics" and medicine to combat ailments before oyinbo came. so stop this nonsense that christianity brought modern medicine. Most of today smedicine anyways has its roots in Ancient Pagan Greek-Egyptian-Hindu methods. Surgical methods were already practiced before christianity and anaesthesia too.

You are no authority on so-called masquerades. Just go and try to stop Oro. come back and tell us your tale.
