As a Christian, u are not under the world's counsel and government system but under the Kingdom of God governmental system. You see, in our kingdom, there is what is called health care scheme, which is better than any health scheme the world can provide. It is called HEALING! If there is a case of impotency, God will heal it and rectify the faults you just hav to bring ur husband to the point where his faith can allow access to the Healing powers of God. I just witness such a starling situation, after many years, a lady who culdnt conceive is now pregnant bucuz of her confession of faith!

Marriage is based on consent and good faith. Both parties should be aware of the challenge before consummation the marriage. Anything short of that is not a marriage in the first place, it is deception and God is never a party in it. Divorce is not even the case here rather dissolution.

Being a christian doesn't mean you should be mumu, even Jesus was never mumu as people of now a days Christianity, I remember dem David, Solomon, Elijah, and Moses, all of dem sharp. If your marriage have issue, divorced and get a new life, there is always room for forgiveness
You are getting it wrong bro!

Am not a christian but as far as for better for worse which the xtians are mouthing is concerned, it is morally wrong to dissolve marriage because of impotence. Sometimes I wonder whether Bible is complete because issues like this should have been settled.
Take this pose,
What if one of them develops mental illness after an accident that affects the head. A thing like this can happen after marriage and dissolution of such marriage will be greatly unfair to the member with such issue.
Sometimes I wonder whether this for better for worse is from God. If it is, then, it is too much to handle in some cases.

My dear man was not desugned for an ordinary life.Reak christians are expected to live supernatural life.
OK. u are a xtian and ur spouse develops insanity, that's not the time to jump ship; thats the time to put d devil on d run.Cast out dt foul spirit, minister healing to him or intercede for him and brung God's power to bear on his life to heal and deliver him.
"In my name you shall cast out devils .........you shall lay your hand on the sick and the sick shall recover" says d word of God.
Again the bible says, ' The prayer of faith shall save the sick.'

I stopped reading when you mentioned divorce.

Can you seek for dissolution because a woman cannot bear children?

Edit: BTW dissolution is divorce with a better name. Annulment on the other hand is a different ball game.

The law concerning adultery applies both to male and female. Right from the begining, if men were wired to be polygamous, Adam would have had two or more women created for his selfish desire. Just because men like solomon, david among others had more than one wife does not mean it was permitted. Infact, God chose to ignore certain believes that became a normߧá among the isrealites untill Jesus Christ came and stressed on the need for who ever listens to him to keep the marriage bed undefiled. Read mattew 5 vs28-29. If Jesus was not refering to a married man,he wouldn't utter the word adultery. If a woman choses to stay with an unrepentant adulterous man, that is the choice she made. But if she choses to leave,it is not up to you to decide if she made the right choice or not. Remember what the bible says about each one carrying his own load? That is to buttress the fact that the loyalty and faithfulness of a wife can not save an unrepentant adulterous husband (1 corinthians 6vs 9-11) No scripture permits 'christian' males to commit adultery. To support such ideology would be to categorize yourself under the kind of people mattew 15 vs8-9 talks about.

You got it all wrong.

I only approached the issue pragmaticaly.

Will leaving a man because of adultery guaraty that the next man wont do same? Furthermore we all know that a man can marry more than one woman. Young ladies wont buy my view but matured ladies will umderstand

Mind you, a woman can leave her unrepentant adulterous husband and remain single for the rest of her life - very possible. But if she decides to remarry, what is the guarantee that she won't find someone who respects God and marriage? Not all men are the same you know.....Ask those who unfortunately became widows, most of them if already well to do and with children do not see the need to remarry.

yes it is wrong but if you discovered that your spouse lied and kept issue of impotency secret before marriage, such marriage can be dissolved.

impotency is when a man is unable to keep himself erect during sex, women dont have erection problems

Abeegi, stop spreading falsehood here!

What you described above (inability to stay erect) is called Erectile Dysfunction.

It is different from impotency .... which someone already explained as FIRING BLANKS.
That is, sperm lacks "alive and fertile spermatozoa"

If nothing else at all, use Google, it can help.

Funny enuf our pastor gave an example about this sort of situation during sermon today,He said a woman came to him complaining of having no issues, after prayers he said the lord revealed to him that her husband has issues fathering a child. She didn't believe and even said her hubby had gisted her abt 2cases wher women got preggy for him and had to abort. She ended up telling her hubby and the man came to church to embarass the man of God who dint budge on what had been revealed to him. Fastforward 2yrs later the man apologised and askd for forgiveness telling her its true he's impo*,he let her go wiv no fuss or trouble.
In my opinion if the man comes clean, they can adopt or get a surrogate if the woman agrees, but if the woman insists on going then I guess they shud just save themselves the stress and dissolve the union.

Do these religious folks understand that impotency or infertility is a biological/medical problem? Do you rely on ur pastor or DOCTOR to fix your appendicitis? Why are folks blinded by religion?

My answer to your question is capital YES because the holy bible especially the New Testament which is the main constitution that governs christians did not mention 'impotency' as a reason for divorce.
Easier said than done!

A man that is impotent should not enter into marriage contract without the other party knowing his disability sex is an integral component of marriage,if a man knows that he will not be able to discharge his conjugal responsibility, then he should not venture into marriage because this could lead the other party into adultery which is even worse than divorce.
