Some people don't think and some don't have minds of theirs. Some pple actually think it's this administration's fault to be listed with other counties.

Where was this big mouthed junkie when GMB'S predecessors attended OIC meetings?

People like FFK succeeds in using religions nd ethnic lines to win gullible Nigerians. The major problem is because we are half way educated.

We believe education ends within that four walls. We let religion and ethnic lines cloud our reasonings.

It's a pity.

We are a bunch of very sentimental folks in this country. This coalition is explained in simple English. They said "34 mainly Muslim countries"...meaning that not all the 34 countries are Muslim countries, but most of them are. See,we are trying to get a coalition to fight terrorism and folks who can't comprehend simple English are missing the target and talking sentiments. Nigeria was definitely encouraged to join that coalition because of boko haram's presence in our domain,so we can share ideas and get ideas and help too.

Fani-Kayode never has anything useful to say except 'is this the "change"?'

God Bless Nigeria. Amen
FFK is a sick man and has infected a people from a particular section of the country with his deadly disease. At this point, I'm even wishing Baba is a military president so we could bundle this ediot and lock him up forever. angry

this is what you get when you elect archaic old religious fanatic as a president in a secular state like Nigeria.

But wait, Is Nigeria even a secular state.. what type of Secular nation would recognize Religious laws in the lives of it's citizens as the recognition of Sharia laws in the north.

It is no doubt the muslim north feels they should be in charge of Nigeria but that i say is an arrant nonsense.

what exactly do we expect when Nigerian students are made to study religions (Christian and Islamic) instead of history..

American civil war is being studied as part of American history in U.S schools but ours is being swept under the rug and everybody is supposed to pretend it never happened

If Nigeria wants to move with time in this jet age, taking our cultural, religious, tribal diversities into consideration we should embrace sound secularism.

Uphold basic fundamental human rights to the fullest.. We should be neither a Christian state or muslim..

As a matter of fact those religions are Alien to us... what happened to our own Traditional religion which is the fundamentals of our tribes and culture.

If Nigeria ever should be a religious state in terms of world recognition then it should uphold our own traditional beliefs not that of other people..

Nigeria needs full secularism and fuuuckking take Religion out of the government

This is just a coalition of nation faced with common enemy, determined to form formidable common force.
See how some people are commenting as if the bill to Islamize Nigeria has already been passed by the Senate...chai!

Aren't you guys tired of these fundamentalist Islamic clerics everyday that are illiterate power and attention seekers? Aren't you guys tired of all these so called pastors and prophets using the name of Jesus to make money, camps, private jets, etc?

There is nothing wrong with being Muslim or Christian but those that brought these faiths have long ago realized that they need to develop in a secular manor with respect to their heritage. But in Naija, we have more churches and mosque than factories and that is shameful

While I do not want to be seen as playing along religious lines but the fact remains that what Buhari has done is very wrong.

Nigeria is and can never be a muslim country, if the northerners want a muslim/sharia country let them secede from Nigeria after all boko haram has been clamouring for an islamic country governed strictly by sharia laws, what the fvck?

If this nonsense continues then I dare say it just might be time to de amalgamate Nigeria which was formed by merging the northern and southern Nigeria together.

What type of "Change" is this biko nu

Kudos to FFK for saying a lot of truths recently.

I am sick and tired of the illiteracy exhibited in Nigeria even amongst people that should rather be educated. How on earth does being listed amonst 34 'mainly' muslim nations aligning to fight terror interpret into meaning that "Nigeria is a Muslim/Arab nation"?... and what does this development even have to do with Buhari? ... was it buhari that registered Nigeria as an islamic nation in 1986?... was it buhari that renewed Nigeria's membership of the OIC in 2013?

Now read the main summary of the real story below:
http://www.aljazeera.com/news/2015/12/saudi-arabia-forms-muslim-anti-terrorism-coalition-151215035914865.html

Saudi Arabia forms Muslim 'anti-terrorism' coalition
Alliance includes 34 mainly Muslim states but excludes regional rival Iran as well as Iraq and Syria.

Saudi Arabia has formed a coalition of 34 mainly Muslim countries - including powers such as Egypt and Turkey - to coordinate a fight against "terrorist organisations".
The alliance was announced by Mohammed bin Salman, the country's defence minister and deputy crown prince, on Tuesday.

Arab countries such as Qatar and the UAE will join the coalition, as well as Middle Eastern, Asian and African states including Pakistan, Malaysia, and Nigeria.

How in earth does this this mean that Nigeria is now an islamic arab country?... isnt it clear from the report when it says 'mainly' arab countries that some of the countries involved are not arab countries?.... Are ivory coast and Gabon also islamic/arab countries?... or is Nigeria not even presently suffering from a terrorist threat?

Nobody can dispute the fact that Buhari is an Islamic fanatic who sometime in 2001 supported the the proposition to implement Sharia on the whole of Nigeria http://www.news24.com/xArchive/Archive/Calls-for-total-Sharia-in-Nigeria-20010827

It is no news that most Muslims bear such mindset, this is 21st century and it was an unnecessary and unfortunate time-travelling that we travelled back in time by recycling another former old leader.

This is about taking religions out of the government, which surely is far fetched when we have a fundamentalist islamist on the presidency
Every muslim supports the spread of sharia globally, same as every christian supports the spread of Christianity worldwide. Let's stop this sentimental bulshiit.

Buhari did not register Nigeria in the IOC...and just recently, it was not Buhari, but rather it was a christian Jonathan that re-registered Nigeria's membership in the OIC in Egypt in 2013. Once again let's stop all these sentimental bullshit or simply go and hug a freaking transformer. angry

And this has brewed ethnical competition for the national cake and supremacy.. This union of these nations in the making of Nigeria is like mixing many dangerous chemicals together we can only get a chaotic reaction.

Ojukwu once said in Aburi: Let us go further apart and be together rather than come closer together and clash..

If Nigeria embraced confederalism as he proposed, there could have been competition among the regions but it would be a healthy one as regard development and governance..

Nigeria would have been far better off

I have rarely seen Christians vying for the implantation of biblical idea of morality on a nation's constitutional dictates though they do some times.

My own is that religion has no place in government and that is simple.. we should simply remove religious ideas and beliefs or moral codes from the government..

These are already over analysed issues. The lazy Nigerian leaders know Nigeria has NO FUTURE given the current structure but they're BLACKS- they'll rather pretend that issues will play out by not attending to them OR PRAY.

Nigeria at best MUST practise true federalism or risk separation in the coming years. Mark this day.
