Why dragging us into something that can heat up the polity of the country? undecided
Seems APC leadership has an agenda which they are subtly bringing to bare.
Nigeria is a secular state and not a Muslim country embarassed

Why should it heat up the polity? why didnt it heat up the polity in these christian majority countries? why in should it heat up the polity in a split country like Nigeria where we're supposed to be religiously tolerant?

These are already over analysed issues. The lazy Nigerian leaders know Nigeria has NO FUTURE given the current structure but they're BLACKS- they'll rather pretend that issues will play out by not attending to them OR PRAY.

Nigeria at best MUST practise true federalism or risk separation in the coming years. Mark this day.
I don't see true federalism ever being a reality as things stands now

No nation will progress in the truest sense if it's laws aren't superior to ANY and ALL forms of religion.
Truer words have never been spoken..

Religious ideologies and beliefs has no place in a government, not everyone subscribes to religious ideas and again the diversity in beliefs leads to contradicting views..

Alas even our FG and legislators cannot reconcile a nation without religion.. We need youths to take the reigns of this nations political horse

Some Nigerians are easy to brainwash. Isn't it obvious that all FFK wants is to start another religious verbal exchange? He dropped the bait and you guys are already grabbing it with two hands.

Before you condemn, have you asked yourself what the alliance stands for and the benefit of such alliance considering Nigeria is currently grappling with Islamic terrorists?

Nah, you haven't. But because FFK speaks the world muslim it must be evil abi?

Christianity is the religion of tolerance and love indeed.

Mind, I'm not even a Muslim.

Not because FFK said it. I don't even like him. It's in the news. Visit BBC NEWS website to confirm. You should be finding out if it's true and what the alliance stands for. I've done that already

We've been saying this many years.....but our leaders will prefer to hide their ineptitude behind religion rather than accept total responsibility by shoving aside all forms of religion from government.

Religion is choking us. And these religions are actually alien to us.

We are a bunch of very sentimental folks in this country. This coalition is explained in simple English. They said "34 mainly Muslim countries"...meaning that not all the 34 countries are Muslim countries, but most of them are. See,we are trying to get a coalition to fight terrorism (for our own good) and folks who can't comprehend simple English are missing the target and talking sentiments. Nigeria was definitely encouraged to join that coalition because of boko haram's presence in our domain,so we can share ideas and get ideas and help too.

Fani-Kayode never has anything useful to say except 'is this the "change"?'

God Bless Nigeria. Amen
How I wish our sentimental folks and their leaders like FFK will use their brains for once and comprehend a simple situation instead of running around exposing crass ignorance.

I wonder why we have sooo many fools in this country.

Why should Nigeria be referred to as a Muslim country?
Is it?
If it is an error why is no one correcting it?
Why blame people for feeling they are gradually been Islamized?

Yes, Nigeria is a multi-secular state and every of the multi attribute. Unfortunately, no one has ever wonder the mystery behind the term 'majority carries the vote'. It is well used in politics, religious issues, even in some tic-tac social and societal problems arising. If this rule of 'majority' could be effectively used in almost every decision making, I see no reason why it couldn't be used by outside worlds in determining what country Nigeria is. I am afraid to say, Nigeria is an islamic country as it has more muslims than the number of christians. A religion which allows the privilege of many wives, many children; large family, has the tendency of outgrowing other religion in population no matter how people try to depopulate it with their beastly talks.

..and what does the alliance stand for?.. 34 mainly muslim countries aligning together to fight terrorism. The word 'mainly' clearly means not all the countries are arab/muslim; or are Gabon or ivory coast arab states?...

Nigeria was obviously invited because we are presently victims of terrorists and we are presently fighting terrorism. Nigeria needs all the help it needs to end this BH scourge, yet all some diabolics like FFK can see is how to create unnecessary paranoia and religious division. And then some gullible folks happily jump into his bandwagon.

By the way, was it even PMB that registered Nigeria in the OIC?... what do you have to say about the fact that GEJ a Christian hero refreshed Nigeria's membership in the OIC by attending their summit in egypt in 2013?.... Isn't it just clear to you that what you have is just a hatred for buhari and a paranoia which makes you see things that are not as if they were?

While I do not want to be seen as playing along religious lines but the fact remains that what Buhari has done is very wrong.

Nigeria is and can never be a muslim country, if the northerners want a muslim/sharia country let them secede from Nigeria after all boko haram has been clamouring for an islamic country governed strictly by sharia laws, what the fvck?

If this nonsense continues then I dare say it just might be time to de amalgamate Nigeria which was formed by merging the northern and southern Nigeria together.

What type of "Change" is this biko nu

Kudos to FFK for saying a lot of truths recently.
When GEJ attended the meetings of Organization of Islamic countries, one Buhari has never attended, where were these people?? When NOI and the FG under Jonathan drew up a budget and stated they intend to borrow monies from Íslamic Development Bank, the FFKs of this country never raised a finger in objection- now, Buhari wants to join a group of Islamic countries to nib Boko Haram in the bud when our Western allies appear to have reneged on their commitments and suddenly, IT IS OBJECTIONABLE!!

I am irreligious but i once told someone; if something can ever be termed religious in me in the future, it would be an intimate and profound reverence of my people, the need to uphold the heritage handed over by the progenitors of our culture and literally the very fabrics of our being and identity

Several people have corrected the error here but because your mind is already biased to a particular outcome which suits your political stance, you have obviously failed to pick up the correction.

I'm sure you can read and write, go and read for yourself and stop allowing divisive charlatans like FFK to mold what you digest into your head.

You know I am really sick and tired of the mentality of Nigerians. Hardly had this news been released and they are all jubilating all over the place accusing PMB of islamising Nigeria. I don tire to explain since morning. The hardest man to wake up is the one who is faking sleep; likewise the hardest people to educate are the ones who have for sentimental reasons, willingly mortgaged their brains and ability to reason objectively. Educating these lot is a wasted effort.

I am sick and tired of the illiteracy exhibited in Nigeria even amongst people that should rather be educated. How on earth does being listed amonst 34 'mainly' muslim nations aligning to fight terror interpret into meaning that "Nigeria is a Muslim/Arab nation"?... and what does this development even have to do with Buhari? ... was it buhari that registered Nigeria as an islamic nation in 1986?... was it buhari that renewed Nigeria's membership of the OIC in 2013?

Now read the main summary of the real story below:

How in earth does this this mean that Nigeria is now an islamic arab country?... isnt it clear from the report when it says 'mainly' arab countries that some of the countries involved are not arab countries?.... Are ivory coast and Gabon also islamic/arab countries?... or is Nigeria not even presently suffering from a terrorist threat?

In my own opinion, that's where it starts from, 'mainly' then 'main'; don't be quick to defend, that's how they end up using people against their friends and brothers.

You just got a fan for this.

#Respect.

Very wise words from Dearpreye as well.

The elite understand the Nigerian psyche and have leveraged on their ignorance especially as regards religion and politics to consolidate their grip on power and keep the people perpetually under their thumb.

Religion, rather than being a tool for uplifting humanity with the common doctrine of love, brotherliness, clemency, tolerance, forgiveness, have been the catalist for the destruction of humanity. When you take a look at the worst acts of destruction and wickedness in human history, at the centre of them all, you find religion!!

I once said in addition to placing a ban on FG sponsorship of pilgrimage, the president should have put a ban of all forms of religious acts in public events.

The question I asked in my penultimate post goes to all those applauding FFK for his divisive and inflammable rhetorics.

People like him make the problem far more intractable.
