Yes, Nigeria is a multi-secular state and every of the multi attribute. Unfortunately, no one has ever wonder the mystery behind the term 'majority carries the vote'. It is well used in politics, religious issues, even in some tic-tac social and societal problems arising. If this rule of 'majority' could be effectively used in almost every decision making, I see no reason why it couldn't be used by outside worlds in determining what country Nigeria is. I am afraid to say, Nigeria is an islamic country as it has more muslims than the number of christians. A religion which allows the privilege of many wives, many children; large family, has the tendency of outgrowing other religion in population no matter how people try to depopulate it with their beastly talks.

The reason for making more children than you can cater for is to control state apparatus grin grin
This is why North and South cannot truly be United in this country. South I mean SE and SS... SW is already assimilated. Sad but bitter truth.

Why should Nigeria be referred to as a Muslim country?
Is it?
If it is an error why is no one correcting it?
Why blame people for feeling they are gradually been Islamized?
Where were you people's feelings when Jonathan attended meetings of Organisation of Islamic Countries Where were those feelings when Jonathan's government sought to borrow money from Islamic Development Bank to finance 2014 Budget

This is nothing but a people keeping faith with their vow to oppose ANYTHING under Buhari's government. Simple.

Don't believe it. PMB is far more intelligent than that. He won't invove himself in such charade despite his alleged sympathetic stance with fundamental islamism.

And this has brewed ethnical competition for the national cake and supremacy.. This union of these nations in the making of Nigeria is like mixing many dangerous chemicals together we can only get a chaotic reaction.

Ojukwu once said in Aburi: Let us go further apart and be together rather than come closer together and clash..

If Nigeria embraced confederalism as he proposed, there could have been competition among the regions but it would be a healthy one as regard development and governance..

Nigeria would have been far better off

Aren't you guys tired of these fundamentalist Islamic clerics everyday that are illiterate power and attention seekers? Aren't you guys tired of all these so called pastors and prophets using the name of Jesus to make money, camps, private jets, etc?

There is nothing wrong with being Muslim or Christian but those that brought these faiths have long ago realized that they need to develop in a secular manor with respect to their heritage. But in Naija, we have more churches and mosque than factories and that is shameful
so u dey preach ateistism.u dey ask if we never tire for religion.u are now saying developed countries dont have religion abi.what of belgium france india saudi arabia russia italy germany etc all this dont have religion, na wa stop using that card in ur aguerement becus it is a lie.belgium is a christain country that even ban islamism.france are majorly christain.italy are catholics.saudi are islamic.germany same as france.why re u now saying developed countries dont have religion.nairaland atiest too dey talk this lie.we should be fighting for politics without religious interferance.developed countries also have churches and mosque they also industries so it is not an excuse

May God bless you and increase your wisdom.

You just got a fan for this.

#Respect.

Very wise words from Dearpreye as well.

The elite understand the Nigerian psyche and have leveraged on their ignorance especially as regards religion and politics to consolidate their grip on power and keep the people perpetually under their thumb.

Religion, rather than being a tool for uplifting humanity with the common doctrine of love, brotherliness, clemency, tolerance, forgiveness, have rather been the catalist for the destruction of humanity. When you take a look at the worst acts of destruction and wickedness in human history, at the centre of them all, you find religion!!

I once said in addition to placing a ban on FG sponsorship of pilgrimage, the president should have put a ban of all forms of religious acts in public events.

The question I asked in my penultimate post goes to all those applauding FFK for his divisive and inflammable rhetorics.

People like him make the problem far more intractable.

Religion na one huge scam. But for some very personal reasons, I would have stooped this nonsense. Nothing more to add. SMH!

There was a time I stopped going to church completely for some personal experiences I had with a couple of so called men of God and "born again" christians. To make matters worse, going through the names of some of the world's greatest philanthropists, I see a list populated by avowed atheists, and then I think to myself- isn't there something fundamentally out of place about what we preach and what we practice

Honestly if I could have my way, all these nonsense would be proscribed, but hell, amnesty international would have a field day with me.

You're not alone. Many of us won't dare agree we are no longer at ease with all these religion nonsense. ...Some of us are still hanging on because of our personal conviction about some issues we've not really come to terms with.

My case became severe when I suddenly realised my life as well as that of very religious nations wasn't getting any better. That anger led me into a personal study of the Pauline Epistles and realised we've been fed half truths by our pastors and deacons.

What makes life true remarkable is identifying your passion and developing it to benefit yourself and others. That's all.

In my own opinion, that's where it starts from, 'mainly' then 'main'; don't be quick to defend, that's how they end up using people against their friends and brothers.
Bro, I cannot be worried about anything because my intelligence surpasses the level of being manipulated by some divisive politicians like FFK through religion. Nigeria is a secular country and listing Nigeria in some random islamic register does not and cannot change the fact that nigeria is not a muslim country.

If there is anything I should be worried about, it is the rise and rise of boko haram and anything that can be done to stop them is a welcome development. Nigeria is currently suffering from an islamic terrorist scourge, Nigeria needs all the help it can get and the western nations have obviously abandoned us. If forming an alliance with some islamic or arab countries is what will help us with funds, weapons, strategies etc. Then so be it. I do not still how that makes me a muslim or an arab.

I do not like to politicise matters like this, but you do not need a soothsayer to tell you that 95% of the people yelling in this thread have not thought it through but are purely driven by political sentiments of GEJ vs PMB, and they have already jumped into conclusions jubilating that buhari wants to islamise Nigeria as they predicted. The irony of this is that bugari did not register nigeria in the OIC and neither did buhari renew our membership. It was rather a christian GEJ that renewed Nigeria's membership in 2013 but these guys have myopically tied the hangman's noose around PMB's neck for no other reason but the fact that they just hate him.

Not because FFK said it. I don't even like him. It's in the news. Visit BBC NEWS website to confirm. You should be finding out if it's true and what the alliance stands for. I've done that already

So what are you particularly against? Is it because the alliance is made up of Muslim countries or because you just want to confirm your fear about Buhari? Would you feel the same way if the alliance was formed by 'Christian' countries?

That Nigeria joined the alliance is not what I'm disputing (that fact is already available everywhere}, my grudge is with people who think so far the word 'muslim' ís mentioned then Buhari has Islamised Nigeria. Whereas, these same people are also quick to say that Muslim leaders are not doing anything about terrorism.

The question really should be will joining the alliance HELP NIGERIA in the war against BOKO HARAM? Not all these pettiness about whether or not they are muslims.

Some Nigerians are easy to brainwash. Isn't it obvious that all FFK wants is to start another religious verbal exchange? He dropped the bait and you guys are already grabbing it with two hands.

Before you condemn, have you asked yourself what the alliance stands for and the benefit of such alliance considering Nigeria is currently grappling with Islamic terrorists?

Nah, you haven't. But because FFK speaks the world muslim it must be evil abi?

Christianity is the religion of tolerance and love indeed.

Mind, I'm not even a Muslim.

Ironically, this dangerous and devilish divide and rule tactics using ethnicity, tribe, region and religion was instituted by PDP in the last administration. They totally lacked ideas on playing politics hence they resorted to the worst forms of blackmail based on religion, tribe etc. Within the last 5 years, never was Nigeria so divided across ethnic and religious lines, I'm afraid the damage has already been done and it's irreversible.

Unfortunately, even though it failed to work for them during the elections, one would think they have learnt their lessons, yet some hopeless diabolics like FFK still resort to religious divide and rule tactics to further fuel hatred in Nigeria. God will judge a lot in Nigeria.

Just imagine the man publicly accusing the present government of being islamic just to create ethnic and religious tension in Nigeria, even though it is clear to even an imbecil the reasons behind this development. Ironically this same FFK and his pdp crew had nothing to say when a christian GEJ renewed Nigeria's membership in the OIC and collected non-interest loans from islamic banks, now the sons of devils want to turn this into a religious war because PMB is the president.

It is impossible for a man created of clay to help his creator in achieving his set plans. The messiah is not he who yee think, the messiah will come to the throne by God's own plan.It is better for this period to pass over before the days of the Lord so that men will not boast that we do this and do that.God is perfecting the deliverance of this country and the real round peg in a round hole leader will manifest at the fullness of time.
