all I know is that Slot is bad kpon qwem. They are rude, expensive... imagine getting a samsung tab charger for 3, 500, what u'd get for 1,500 outside. It's just d beginning of their downfall.

In relation to a thread, I opened on nairaland https://www.nairaland.com/3042938/fraud-slot-limited some hours ago about how a SLOT staff sold a fake charger to me at the price of the original. After the thread hit the front page, I received plethora of calls from SLOT authorities. I was called by their General Manager,who pleaded I should come to their Ikeja head office. He promised to pay for all my transport expenses. I was not after making any money from the situation, albeit, I was bent on ensuring justice, openness,credibility and transparency. Just like an Old man,who was called by his son from the village, to come to the city, I proceeded to test the waters albeit nostalgically. I got to SLOT head office Ikeja,and it proved to be one of the the greatest moments of my life. I was welcomed by the Creme-De-La-Creme of SLOT. We sat on a round table in what looked like a mini conference hall ,alongside Infinix representatives. They,Slot authorities, apologized sincerely. They also reiterated their commitment to optimum customer satisfaction. In this particular regard, the SLOT general manager ordered the sack of the culprits and any other slot staff found wanting,now and later in the future.I was given a brand new INFINIX CHARGER plus a SLOT branded diary amongst others. Apparently, SLOT is bent on ensuring quality and it has cemented this by flushing out the bag eggs in their ranks. I commend them for this bold step. INFINIX authorities also played a pivotal role, they ensured I was given the best quality product.

Moreso, to all the nairalanders who took their time to call.
A BETTER NIGERIA IS WHAT WE ALL WANT.

How is the staff of SLOT who sold the charger to you, guilty and have to be sacked and deprived of his source of living?

*Was he not selling what the Company (SLOT) had in their stores?
*Was he responsible or did he bring the fake charger from his house/outside the company, to sell to you?

Except if that is the case, then l consider this an "abuse of power", something very common with Nigerian business owners.

I hope SLOT will explain the sacking because l wont be going there anymore, if that is how their CEO behaves.
That will be my own little way of saying "Employees need to be respected as well".

*has the source of the charger been properly investigated and narrowed to this particular staff or was it just a case of "now l don catch excuse to fire you"?

There are young Nigerians who are ungrateful and greedy. They have a job no matter how much it pays,in contrast to millions who are jobless and have no hope of employment,yet they perpetuate fraud on the job to make extra income.
I was at Slot shop at Festival Mall to get an infinix accesory. I was told the price of the pouch was 2,500 Naira.A young lady at one of the displays who claimed to work for infinix called me aside and offered me same pouch for 1,000 Naira. She claimed that was the actual price and that Slot Limited was making excess profit on customers. It was all a lie. Her pouch was obviously fake and she had it stocked somewhere in the Mall.
A bad people allow a bad government,and together they build a bad nation. Nigerians need to change before they can see any practical change. When I say Nigerians,I mean you on the curb,you on Nairaland and even you in Aso Rock Villa.

Was the person wearing an infinix branded shirt or a slot branded shirt, this way you can tell whose staff the person is as all phone brand reps wear their brand tshirts always. Please clarify so we know who to trust or not. Am sure some people are getting fired based on what some people say here.

She was wearing an Infinix branded T-shirt in Slot Nigeria shop at Festival Mall. Various phone brands have stands in Slot shops. I hope you are clear on the matter now.
I don't want to see honest hardworking persons fired. It's of no personal or pecuniary profit but all those perpetrators of fraud should be fired and prosecuted.
