Lmao I hate the witnesses? How? By asking you questions, I hate you? You're the one murdering English language to prove your non-existent point. My initial point was that it was compulsory for Jehovahs witnesses to carry the card to prove that they don't take blood. You said it's mandatory to carry the card, which proves my point, so I don't know what your argument is for.

"A 16 year old girl sued hospital and the country changed their rules "
What is the link between that and what we were arguing about?
I only showed u d usefulness of d card. At this junction I will just av to end d conversation cos now u don't even av any point again. And u that understands English so well am shocked u still don't av sense to know that cos it is important to own d card doesn't mean d org forces u to get d card. U just want to av a reason to hate d witnesses. U better listen when dy preach to u cos it means ur life if u obey

Heb chapter 1vs 5-9

For to what angel did God ever say,

“Thou art my Son,
today I have begotten thee”?
Or again,

“I will be to him a father,
and he shall be to me a son”?
6 And again, when he brings the first-born into the world, he says,

“Let all God’s angels worship him.”
7 Of the angels he says,

“Who makes his angels winds,
and his servants flames of fire.”
8 But of the Son he says,

“Thy throne, O God,[b] is for ever and ever,
the righteous scepter is the scepter of thy[c] kingdom.
9 Thou hast loved righteousness and hated lawlessness;
therefore God, thy God, has anointed thee
with the oil of gladness beyond thy comrades.”

Pls take note of verses 8.......But of the son he says......Thy throne, "O God"......here we see the Father address Jesus as God....and one yeye JW come and tell me Jesus is not God....y did thy run away??......pls come and respond to this o.

Look at verse9 really closely

Good!!!!.....you have said that the First and the Last, the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the End is JEHOVA.

Now Rev 22:13. "I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.".....who made this statement??

The prophesy in Revelation was given by God. Rev 1:1.

So, at times the angel will be the one speaking, while on another occasion it would be either God or Jesus that the his message is being reported. If we check the statement at Rev 21:6,7 and chapter 22:6,7. Then it is clear that God was the one speaking, while in verse 16, Jesus began his own.

A large number Jehovah's witnesses (in person) have this secreted attributes of not letting or bringing to public, most of their beliefs (is it because of the impression majority have on them?). In my own view, I think the impression has nothing to do with the religion but particular persons in the religion (who overreact). Therefore, why blame religion over a person's action?
.
A life experience between a Witness and a guy he met on field ministry.
.

I actually one day noticed a Witness in the field service preaching to a guy. On the long run, he offered the guy a tract and Awake! then the guy also brought a brochure to offer to the witness and said 'if you take mine, I'll take yours.' The witness responded: 'sorry, I am not allowed to collect that from you but you may have mine.' The guy fired back 'why?' The witness responded 'because mine teaches about God's kingdom.' The guy was like 'mine teaches about Satan's kingdom, right?' (...)
.
.
You may be thinking sth, well this attitude by this Witness was unprofessional and ego-centric. The Witnesses are taught in the Theocractic Ministry school, accompanied with the Reasoning From The Scriptures reference booklet to - not only try to let people see their points while preaching, but also -- hear others view. Therefore, what do we call that witness above? Well, unprofessional. Some other things alike too happen, like when they invite you over to the Kingdom Halls and you invite them to a Church Crusade; some will be all rejection. Well, here are things you never knew:
.
1. They do not have their own bible. I get this all the time that their Bible is quite very distinct from others. How true is this? Well, let me surprise you, they only rewrote a modern-word version of still, the original bible manuscripts that every other bible translator wrote from. In the New World Translation of The Holy Scriptures, the name of God, Jehovah, is used more than in other bible translation who replaced it with 'Lord'.
.
2. They believe people will go to heaven. Yes, they do, they believe a small number will make heaven and the righteous rest, inherit the earth, the promised paradise.
.
3. They don't do birthdays and festive periods like Christmas, Halloween, Easter etc. Halloween apart which is somewhat demonic, they believe that the outcome of the people who celebrated birthdays in the Bible took bloodshed (Pharoah's birthday,John the Baptist head). And for Christmas, it's pagan; Jesus was not born on Christmas day, which is true.
.
4. They are not a cult group. Believe me when I tell you this, all their teachings are focused on the Bible. If a Witness made a misuse of the bible, it's imperfection and not because 'he is a Witness, that's what they do'.
.
5. A woman can not lead the flock. Yes, this is driven from the new testament where Paul etc., took on the congregation of God. A man is the head, so it is.
.
Some other things are clapping to praise songs, using their Kingdom melodies, etc. Truth is, before you judge, do some research, some things you judge are actually how it should be.

Jehovah witness are not Christian, for they do not believe in Christ. We are called to witness Christ and not Jehovah.

The name Jehovah cannot save anybody, only the name of Jehovah's Son Christ Jesus can. They don't Jehovah and His Son.

okay, you said they know why I raise an objection and they know what other religions teach. There are 4,200 religions in the world, how has your church managed to learn about all of them to know their doctrines are wrong? I asked a few questions earlier to 2 of your members in the threads above but none has replied me, so I'll ask you.

My reply is with Christendom in mind. Of course, we have a book that covers the belief of many religions, entitled MANKIND SEARCH FOR GOD. Islam, Hinduism, Shintoism, Christendom, and more are covered in the book. With it, you can learn the origin and the beliefs of other religions. But my above reply was with xtendom in mind.

1) Why have more than 20 scriptures been removed from the newest edition of your bible? They've been there in your other editions and in other bibles.

More than 20 scriptures. Pls list the 20 scriptures so that I ll know what am replying.

2) You agree that blood is a symbol/representation of life, so why would you give up your life to honour a symbol? Why is the symbol of life more important than the life itself?

I don't understand. Read Lev 17:11,14. And make your question clearer.

3) If taking blood pollutes the body, how would you interpret Matthew 15:11 or Mark 7:15-16?

Pollutes? Tell me where u got that from. With regards to taking blood, God said:

Lev 17:10

‘If any man of the house of Israel or any foreigner who is residing in your midst eats any sort of blood, I will certainly set my face against the one who is eating the blood, and I will cut him off from among his people.

[quote author=rottennaija post=61871644]The rest of the story…

What Jw's believe, but won't initially tell people when they knock on doors and ask if they think the world would be better off without war, suffering, sickness and child abuse:

If you become a JW and then leave them because of their false teachings, you will be literally shunned. You family that remain in the organization will not be permitted to even talk to you!

The Watchtower Society is the only source of truth on earth today and the rest of the mankind will be destroyed if they do not belong or convert to jw.

The cross is a pagan symbol of sex worship, and that all buildings or persons displaying the cross are likewise pagan. Jehovah's Witnesses deny that Jesus died on a cross but a stake. However, recent "new light" in the Watchtower now admits they are not certain about the cross, but will continue to deny it anyway. Further, the watchtower originally claimed it was a cross.

No one goes to heaven but 144,000. While the Bible shows that the great crowd is in heaven, the Watchtower ignores this and teach their own interpretation.

They teach Christ is the mediator for only the 144,000, not the rest of mankind as taught in the Bible.

Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob etc. will be resurrected to earth paradise even when the Bible in Hebrew 11:13-16 shows that their reward will be heavenly. They simply ignore this.

Their light gets "brighter and brighter", allowing for many changes and "about faces" on their doctrines. Yesterday's error is today's "truth" and today's truth becomes tomorrow’s errors. Often the "light" bounces back and forth from old to new views and back again! Basically, in the past 30 years, more than 80% of their doctrine has been discarded.

Blood transfusions are rejected and if a Witness receives one willingly, it results in his eternal death. However, the society allows Hemopheliacs to consume blood for medical purposes to save their life.

That all other religion apart from Jehovah’s Witnesses are false religion and most of the times referred to as Babylon the great.

They believe the Watchtower contains Gods truth, directed by Holy Spirit. Without it one cannot understand the Bible.

They claim they were approved and chosen by Christ Jesus in 1919 as the only religion doing God's will. However their teachings at the time and mistakes since then prove this could not be true and had since been discarded.

They let their loved ones die imposing their doctrinal ban on blood transfusions based on the law covenant. However people broke the law covenant when lives were at stake. Such as saving a life of a sheep or human on the sabbath. King David broke the law to save his men. Even Jesus christ showed that when life is threatened, mercy was more important than sacrifice.

They are known as being false prophets for their many false predictions going back over 150 years. They predicted the coming of christ (1875), resurrection (1878), end of gentile times (1881), Armageddon (1914), resurrection if Abraham, Isaac, Jacob (1915), destruction of all other churches apart from them (1918), disappearance of government and republic (1920), establishment of God's kingdom(1925), resurrection of Abraham, Isaac, jacob (1925), heavenly calling ends (1935), end of the world (1975) and the generation alive in 1914 would not die off before the end. Of course, all this prophecies had since been discarded after their failure and never talked about.

Looking at the history of their false prophecies and teaches, Jehovah's Witnesses becomes a hypocrite whenever they call others false prophet and false teachers.

They are series of court cases involving the Watchtower, the parent organization of Jw, and they are paying millions of dollars in compensation for their failures in child abuse cases (Google is your friend). And yet, none of these are featured in the legal section of their official website. (see how much they have paid thus far: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jehovah%27s_Witnesses%27_handling_of_child_sex_abuse)

Watchtower is selling of kingdom halls in many part of the world. (the building of many ones spoken of as evidence of God's blessing and backing of their works). Yet, many Jw's are not aware of it.

They have their own Bible. A Bible carefully designed to agree with their doctrine.

The Watchtower leadership has repeatedly refused to divulge the names and/or academic qualifications of the people within their organization who produced the New World Translation. The reason cited was that the translator where not seeking glory for themselves. But it's really a lame excuse.

The jw Bible is the first real attempt to remove all references to Jesus being worship or being prayed to. It's the first real attempt to obscure the divinity of Jesus Christ. (more about the jw Bible can be found here: http://www.ukapologetics.net/newworld.html)

@op,nice try. You surpress information? [/quote

I guess u know God knows things before hand and he’s the wisest. If u can come to terms with that u will believe he would have surely known that in the future there will be blood transfusion. If there’s was a law that says abstain from water....so becos the law earlier says do not drink water so u now think the other law that says abstain from water will allow u to inject that same water into ur body.

So as the bible said abstain from fornication do u think it’s only restricted to having sex only? Don’t u think all other forms are included.

I cant relate your illustration about water to the topic of discourse.

It is important to know the reason the law was given as i showed in an earlier post. Due to the sanctity of the blood, God gave a law that human can eat all animals (flesh) and not with the blood, this must be poured on the ground.....Gen9v4, Deut12v23-25.

Fast forward to Acts15, due to paganism some people started eating or consuming blood hence the need for the law in verses 28-29 "about abstaining from blood........". No reference was made about transfusing blood here.......transfusion of blood is nlt same as eating of blood.

About the use of blood fractions, is that not double standard If going by your belief, God frown at transfusing of blood, but fractions of the same blood can be given. I dont get except you can educate me on the source of the blold fraction......

Peace!!!

Pls take note of verses 8.......But of the son he says......Thy throne, "O God"......here we see the Father address Jesus as God....and one yeye JW come and tell me Jesus is not God....y did thy run away??......pls come and respond to this o.

Look at verse9 really closely

Verse 9 shows that the person being addressed in verse 8 has a God. For it says " Thy God". As such, the way the phrase is worded in some bible translation pass the wrong information. Yes, Jesus can be called a god. But this verse is not a good one to butress it.

Alternative wording reads: "God is your throne" implying that God founded the throne of Jesus. This is a reasonable way to phrase the verse. For that will show that Jesus God, Jehovah (as verse 9 shows) is the one that established the throne for His son.

Another reason supporting this is: Paul was quoting from Psalms 45:6 which was a word made to an Israelites king (likely Solomon). We wouldn't conclude that the psamist is saying that Solomon is God, would we? You now see how weak that position is.

6 And again, when he brings the first-born into the world, he says,

“Let all God’s angels worship him.”
7 Of the angels he says,

“Who makes his angels winds,
and his servants flames of fire.”
8 But of the Son he says,

“Thy throne, O God,[b] is for ever and ever,
the righteous scepter is the scepter of thy[c] kingdom.
k
9 Thou hast loved righteousness and hated lawlessness;
therefore God, thy God, has anointed thee
with the oil of gladness beyond thy comrades.”

Who is been referred to as thy throne O God??....who is speaking here Jehova or Jesus??
Its evident you are on nairaland to claim medals such as gold, platinum and silver e.t.c peacefullove asked you a particular question earlier on this thread have you provided the answer, abi no be the same saintmark88? Hmmmmmmmm if you are not here solely to claim medals, you should have asked yourself who was Paul referring to and who made the statement ''thou art my son, and I will become to him a Father''? In verse 9 you didn't see therefore God, thy God has anointed thee. Who is the ''thy God'', and who is ''thee''? Please specify with Jesus only, you are not allowed to use the name Jehovah here, and do not forget Jesus is God.

NIV

NLT
Then the angel said to me, “Everything you have heard and seen is trustworthy and true. The Lord God, who inspires his prophets,b has sent his angel to tell his servants what will happen soon.

ESV
And he said to me, “These words are trustworthy and true. And the Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets, has sent his angel to show his servants what must soon take place.”

KJV
And he said unto me, These sayings are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be done.

7Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.

stop saying shit. D card is given so that it can rep what u say during that time of crisis as it won't be easy to start arguing with d doc or d person might be in a state of coma DT card would speak for d person. Besides u are not forced to own d card but it is mandatory to own it. Jw views blood transfusion as wrong and if u are a jw u def goia own DT card cos u are convince that blood transfusion is wrong
You're contradicting yourself and that's the main problem with your church from all I know and what I've read so far. See the definition of mandatory and now read the bolded text from your comment. How does what you said make sense?

PLS HELP ME TO STATE THEM...WHAT ABOUT MAL 3:16? I REPEAT WE ARE NOT CALLED TO WITNESS JEHOVAH, BUT TO WITNESS CHRIST JESUS...

JESUS SAID: "YE SHALL BE WITNESS UNTO ME NOT UNTO MY FATHER."..

When you bear witness about Jesus, youbesr witness about God, because God provided Jesus as a means to save mankind. All of what Jesus did was all Gods plan to redeem mankind. In fact, you bringing glory to the father whenever you honor the son. Did you take note of how Phil 2:11 ended? Yes " to the glory of God the Father".

The disciples did not only bear witness about Jesus, but also about Gods kingdom, and God himself. Read Rev 20:4; acts 20:21, 28:23

Jehovah gave Jesus a commandment of what to do, and he did it. So, what you speak about Jesus is a witness about God. John 14:31

Isaiah 44:6

Who made this statement......Jehova or Jesus??
This will not be the first and it will not be the last........
Isaiah 44:6
"Thus says the LORD(God the Father), the King of Israel and his Redeemer, the LORD(God the Father) of hosts: 'I am the first (God the Father) and I am the last(God the Father), And there is no God(God the Son and God the Holy Spirit) besides Me(God the Father).
Isaiah 44:6
"Thus says the LORD(God the Son), the King of Israel and his Redeemer, the LORD(God the Son) of hosts: 'I am the first(God the Son) and I am the last(God the Son), And there is no God(God the Father and God the Holy Spirit)besides Me(God the Son).
Isaiah 44:6

BIBLESPEAKS:

everyone will come to that point in their lives where they have to make a decision. we just have to make the right decision, else we would regret. everyone has to carry his/her own load.

there's one thing that is certain. this world and all it represents will pass away. the world and its thinking, its belief systems, its knowledge, its ideas, its institutions...they will not survive the great day of Jehovah. - 1 John 2:15-17.

the reason is that they do not originate with God. we have to make sure that the worlds thinking and ideas do not influence our decisions. our decisions should be influenced by the bible if we are to survive this wicked world.

The earlier you know this world is full of loving, beautiful, nice, kind, happy and wonderful people the better. This world is good. Yes there are bad people. But the world isn't wicked. Your leaders have brainwashed you people into thinking this world is wicked so as to continuously fuel your sinister idea that your Jehovah will destroy the wicked world and slaughter the people in it (all non jw) for your new system to come.

of course, end the conversation and run away. You said it's mandatory for a JW to get the card and yet you say a witness is not forced. It's like saying as a student, it's mandatory you pay school fees but you're not forced. Does that make sense? The fact that the school cannot forcefully collect the school fees doesn't mean it's not compulsory.

I should listen to them when I have asked almost 4 of you questions and you all run away? That's the difference between you and I. You've been taught to hate the world and the things in it, to the point that having a normal argument has made you think I hate you and your members. Do better please.
Dearie leave them that's how they behave. Arguing with them is like pouring water on rock, it won't sink in. They are so blinded by their beliefs they will swallow whatever their leaders tell them. That's how they believed the world would end in 1975, many of them sold their houses. Show them things their leaders are covering up about their church and they will run away and avoid you like a plague instead of finding out if it's true. Very ignorant set of people.
