Tithe already existed before Deuteronomy
Before the law, tithe already existed

Where/when did tithe exist before the law?
The war looting that Abraham gave 10% to Melchizedek only once
So you should only give what you steal from a war just once in line with the above example. Is that it?

My worry about those who support the pastors on the issue of tithe is that they don't always have a correct bible portion to drive home their points while those against tithe are always handy with useful scriptural backings in support of their arguments, a situation that has made me to also go deep in search of the truth concerning tithe and first fruit in the Bible. And annoyingly, I keep seeing every reason to believe that Christians have over the years been defrauded by their pastors. My brothers and sisters, let the truth be told. Our pastors have no biblical backings for collecting tithes and fruits.

How do you know that Jesus wont have driven Bentley or any of those cars?
See,
If you want to ask for financial accountability, thats a different topic.

Dont confuse things up. Bentley, Ferrari etc was not made for only demons to drive.

When Jesus was alive, he was trekking all over the place. He didn't ride the finest horses, and none of his disciples did. The best he had was one day's ride on an donkey which most Pastors want to lie to you was a luxury cruise, but even till today, we know that donkeys are a poor man's horse.

Jesus and his disciples never sailed in the most luxurious ships. They best they did were fishing boats. Let no scammer deceive you, Jesus lived a very austere life. If he didn't ride on the best horses and sail in the best ships during those times, he wouldn't cruise around in a Bentley, Ferrari, or Private Jet today.

Please help me and ask them! During his Triumphal Entry, Jesus rode donkey which was the lowest ridden animal till today. He didn't ride a horse which was the most prestigious ridden animal, he didn't even ride a camel. A donkey of that time is equivalent to a Keke Marwa today. Don't let any Pastor trick you into believing Jesus lived a life of luxury. The whole of his life, Jesus was trekking!

Jesus would not have a Bentley or Ferrari as he rightly Said.
During the time of our Lord Jesus Christ, one can say there were no private jets or luxury cars. However, Monarchs, Royals, Warriors and their likes had one Ostentatious way of getting by. They used CHARIOTS of Royal(special) Horses with CARTS. These are widely documented in the Bible and other Religious and Historic books. Worthy of note is the fact that Christ NEVER owned a horse not to talk of Chariot of them nor royal Carts. Christ Trekked, entered canoes, ferries. He was ordinary

He could have tasked/Taxed his followers to acquire one if he thought it needful. Remember he is supposed to be our Role model.
Suffice it to say that He knew that this day will come when people like you will support Mundane and materialistic Jesus wannabes Pastors like we have today. During his triumphant entry into Jerusalem which would have been the best occasion to flaunt sophistication and Pride, He chose to BORROW a COLT (Not even a Horse) for a temporary humble ride!

Yet the people sang Hossana!

YOU SAID IT BEST!

I do not question your decision to pay tithe. When I read where you said

THE REASON IS SIMPLE

My curiosity was aroused.
I read so many words and no reason

What is the

SIMPLE REASON

why you pay tithe?

He says he earns more than enough money, and would not want to arrive in Church someday to hear the Pastor could not make it because he's out hustling for food to eat.

Oga, grace is not a modification of law
Grace is a fulfillment of the law
In all honesty, try to start studying the bible for yourself

Abraham tithed once because he came across Melchizedek once in his pilgrimage.
Melchizedek priesthood was a very rare one
And hard to come by

Today Christ is our Melchizedek (Psalm 110:4)
If you pay tithe to the body of Christ wether once, monthly, yearly,
God will not be angry
We now have the body of Christ as Melchizedek continuously with us.
So there is no excuse.

If you feel your local church isnt part of the body of Christ, then that's a different topic.
Look for a bible believing church

Why did Jesus neither pay nor collect Melchizedek tithing nor his apostles?

There were horse-drawn chariots, which were equivalent of Bentley etc, since the Book of Genesis.
Jesus Christ left them and opted for a donkey.
There is also no record of the 12 Apostles and Paul living in luxury. Rather they worked hard to bless the congregation.
If you don’t desist in blasphemy, your end will be worse than that of Lucifer.
If you don’t desist. Will you desist

And donkeys were for poor people then ba?

On the bolded, the Bible is clear. Test all spirits...dont let them sweet talk you with what looks like the truth, tastes sweet but is laced with the poison of your destruction. Even satan appears as an angel of light! Wether its Freeze, or your pastor, make sure you test spirits. Of course, if you are lackadaisical in your approach to faith, then this advice is useless to you anyhow.

then keep the advice

You through cannot say it existed....Only Abraham tithe as a sign of worship to God and was not a regular practice nor was it commanded or obligatory of him. Jacob and his whole generation never tithe....We did not hear anything about tithing also during the Generation of Isaac.

It definitely, was not a practice required of pre-old testament believers and anyone referencing the incidence with Abraham as a poly to make it a requirement for post-old testament believers does not have any scriptural bases.

The tithing that Abraham did is akin to thanksgiving in today's church settings...The tithing that Pastors are demanding has no resemblance to the tithing that Abraham did, but copied the obligation of the tithing of the laws, while neglecting to follow through on how the law actually stated that tithing should be carried out.

Jacob also tithed
Go and study

Try and understand the difference between tithe and tax , Abraham did not pay tithe , but tax to the King Melchizedek of Salem (who doubles as a priest) from the spoils of war.
He didn't give a tenth from his own properties, he gave a tenth of the items he recovered from war after going to save his Kinsman - Lot. If Lot had not been taken, Abraham wouldn't have gone to war and wouldn't have paid the tax. The remaining 90% he also gave out to the men who followed him to war and the rest to the King of Sodom. Abraham didn't take anything home from the war. So how do you explain that in the context of tithing? You also need to STUDY and understand the Bible.

Sorry dear, Abraham paid tithe
Thats what was written

Dont write your own Bible

Dont confuse things up. Bentley, Ferrari etc was not made for only demons to drive.

If you start preaching against people paying tithe because you saw preacher riding in those cars, you are only preaching according to strife from the flesh
Thats what Freeze is doing

Freeze is like Judas who only remembered the poor when perfume worth thousands of dollars was poured on Jesus feet.
Meanwhile he was a thief in secret.

Many people will finish preaching against tithe, claiming poor people are everywhere yet go home and spend ten times in club house and purchase internet bundle.
Freeze falls into this category.

These same people want to go to the same heaven that the early Christians who sold 100% of their belongings went to.

There is God.
Stop preaching out of fleshly strife.

Look! I wouldn't know if you're a Pastor, but then... You can't preach things that doesn't have foundation in Christ, in fact the Bible tells us that "Christ is our perfect example".

The missionaries that brought the Gospel to Africa didn't buy SUVs, education was made free. But today Christians build schools, and can't afford the fees.
