There is currently a false gospel out there which says once you accept Jesus and you go back to sin, you will lose your salvation. They make is seem like you are the one who saved yourself, hence their talk of you losing your salvation. So many people believe in this garbage gospel which is leading them straight to hell fire. Such people have called God a liar.
The proponents of this counterfeit gospel love to use Judas Iscariot as an example that one can lose his salvation. But was Judas Iscariot ever saved? Let the Bible enlighten us on that. First of all, what is the criteria for having everlasting life? It is the believe in Jesus.
John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Remember what Paul and Silas told that prison keeper when he asked what he could do to be saved.
Acts 16:30-31
30 And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
As seen above, the only way to be saved is by believing in Jesus as the saviour. Now, did Judas Iscariot believe in Jesus? No he didn't and wasn't the only disciple of Jesus who didn't believe in him (hope you know Jesus had other disciples asides the 12). Read the below passage to see how Jesus pointed them out including Judas Iscariot.
John 6:53-71

As seen in verse 64, Jesus knew those disciples of his that believed not in him and the one who will betray him. In verse 65, many of such disciples left him and went their way because they didn't believe in him. This made Jesus to ask his special 12 disciples if they were also going to leave him.
John 6:67-71
67 Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away?
68 Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life.
69 And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God.
70 Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil?
71 He spake of Judas Iscariot the son of Simon: for he it was that should betray him, being one of the twelve.
Notice how Peter answered saying that they are staying with Jesus because they believe he has the words of ETERNAL LIFE and that they BELIEVE he is Christ the Son of God. Remember how John 3:16 said those who believe in Jesus have eternal life.
In Peter's mind all the 12 disciples believed in Jesus, but it wasn't so in the eyes of Jesus who knew one of them didn't believe in him. See what he said below.
70 Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil?
71 He spake of Judas Iscariot the son of Simon: for he it was that should betray him, being one of the twelve.
Clearly, Judas was never ever saved because he didn't believe in Jesus and he also was a devil as described by Jesus himself. So, for someone to sit somewhere and say Judas lost his salvation is the height of deceit.
Now, all those who believe they can lost their salvation are calling God a liar, and this clearly shows that they are not saved. They call God a liar by not believing in his record which he gave of his Son Jesus Christ.
1 John 5:10
He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.
You might say "oh, what is the record God gave of his Son?"
Just continue to the next verse because His stated what the record is.
1 John 5:11
And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
One thing you need to know is that the moment you accept Jesus as your saviour and you believe in him, you immediately get the holy spirit who is the witness seen in verse 10 above. Then you immediately get eternal or everlasting life. Even John 3:16 says the same thing.
Now, how are people calling God a liar? They call God a liar by not believing the record that God has given us eternal life. They believe once you sin after accepting Jesus, you immediately lose your salvation which means you have lost the eternal life God gave you for believing in Jesus. If they believe you can lose that eternal life, then was it ever eternal at all? Eternal life means never ending and this is fully achieved upon the resurrection, but you have it now. So if someone tells you you can lose your salvation, that person is saying God lied when he said he gave you eternal life for believing in his son. You have eternal life and you are not condemned because you believe in Jesus.
John 3:18
He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
John 5:24]
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
All those who believe sin can make you lose your salvation are not trusting in Jesus who has come to save us from our sins. They are trusting in their works of righteousness to save them. They are clearly going to hell fire for rejecting Jesus and trying to save themselves. Works can't save you, it is only the grave of God through faith/believe in Jesus that can save you.
Ephesians 2:8-9
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Christ has taken upon himself our sins and transfered his righteousness to us. That is why we are eternally saved regardless of whether we live holy or not.
1 Corinthians 5:21
For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
The true gospel is so sweet and a good news because it states that even if you do no works of righteous but you believe in Jesus, you still will make heaven because your faith in God has made you righteous.
Romans 4:5
But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.
Brothers, if you have believed in the false doctrine that says you can lose your salvation, please now is the time to throw it away. Leave that false church which is selling that counterfeit gospel to you. Find a church which believes in eternal security, but first say the below prayer.
" Father, I believe your son Jesus Christ has come to save me from ny sins because I cannot save my save. I hold on to your word which says those who believe have eternal life. Believing is never enough. Believing and Confessing Jesus as your Lord and Saviour is what makes Salvation Vital.

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."

Funny thing is ,you guys really know how to preach this eternity saving grace wella.

This not loosing your salvation thing is the greatest heresy in the body today See me and this OP are almost the polar opposites with respect to our views concerning the subject of salvation and eternal life. So ordinarily I would have just ignored his contrary comments as such, but I saw "call God a liar" and it sounded really demeaning to me. Why not say the bible or the person that actually wrote what you are quoting, and worst case as bad as it is even call Jesus, but God, m-e-n, that's really something I wouldn't even advise my worst enemy to do. |

I was listening to Pastor Joseph Prince recently (in fact he is number 1 preacher I listen to) and he said that in the book of Acts the early apostles always said believe in the Lord Jesus and though shall be saved. Salvation is strictly believing in the Lord Jesus Christ, Romans 10 throws more light on it.
The reason why we have a very ineffective body of Christ is because of many wrong teachings that has been going on. And these teachings does not transform lives of people, but put people under so much bondages
As for this topic I agree to it. If people understand salvation, whom God is, His nature you will understand that God has loved us with everlasting love. God is not man. God doesn't condemn. In fact it is the goodness of God that brings us to repentance. 2 Likes |

Brothers, if you have believed in the false doctrine that says you can lose your salvation, please now is the time to throw it away. Leave that false church which is selling that counterfeit gospel to you. Find a church which believes in eternal security, but first say the below prayer.
" Father, I believe your son Jesus Christ has come to save me from ny sins because I cannot save my save. I hold on to your word which says those who believe have eternal life. Jesus saved you fr eternal destruction which sim causes. But as long as you are in the flesh, you will always sin. Buy this doesn't prevent you from eternal life because your soil has been saved already. |

OP what do we say of Pual in 1cor9:27 BUT I KEEP UNDER MY BODY ,AND BRING IT INTO SUBJECTION, LEST THAT BY ANY MEANS , WHEN I HAVE PREACHED TO OTHERS ,I MYSELF SHOULD BE A CST AWAY. If a man like Pual could be so cautious not to sin against God , then what are you saying, is it not the bible that says " work out your salvation with FEAR AND TREMBLING, It is also the bible that says strive to enter in the strait gate. OP if I may ask why do we have the ten commandments, wait before u say it's in the old testament, remember Jesus said I didn't come to abolish the law but to fulfill it. pls OP read your bible again and stop misleading people,,.

Even St. Paul was afraid of losing his salvation :
But i keep my body and keep it under subjection, lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself be cast away. 1 Cor. 9:27
Even St. Peter exhorts us thus:

You clearly do not understand the passage you quoted. The passage is not talking about those who have accepted Christ. It is talking about those who have tasted or are I'm the process of accepting Christ but rejected it. If it was talking about those who have accepted Christ and went back as you are insinuating, then it even kicks against your belief. Do you believe one can return to God after losing his salvation? I believe you do. So, if you say the passage is about people losing their salvation, then how come it says it is impossible for such people to be renewed into Christ again? Of course it's true that once saved, forever saved, n it's still possible 4 a person to loose his salvation You can't lose your salvation be sure you are not the one that saved yourself. |

Wow! Never believed there are still people who actually know what salvation means. Our churches are filled with Satan calling themselves pastors, teaching people errors making them to walk on the high way that leads to hell. It's a pity that some so called Christians who have been fervent for the Lord in time past are subscribing and also spreading these erroneous teaching of our past, present and future sins are forgiven already, so what ever will do, it's has been covered. If salvation that takes to heaven is so easy like that where will be the place of self denial? Why would the violent take the kingdom of God by force? Why must we STRIVE to enter through the Strait gate? Why would Paul put his body under subjection? Why would the disciples die? Why would be the essence of Paul's continuous writing to the churches and reminding them that there hope is not of these world? and so on.. We're in the last days of the end time, may God help us to hold fast that which we have already and not be sway by these false teachers.. Amen.. 4 Likes 3 Shares |
