Lol, between 2011-2015, no Yoruba is part of the first six.

President- Jonathan (SS)
VP- Sambo (NW)
Senate President- David Mark (NC)
Deputy SP - Ekweremadu (SE)
Speaker- Tambuwal (NW)
Deputy speaker - Emeka Ihedioha (SE)

Yorubas remained in the opposition and struck a deal with the north to rectify the wrongs, that’s how real men do and not some slaves that keeps begging for position without a clear way to rescue power.

Let me add: even non of the below positions was occupied by south west within 2011-2015

CJN
Minister of Finance
Minister of Petroleum
NNPC GMD
Custom Head
Chief of Army Staff etc

plesse be factual and don't just look at things from the surface. in 2011 PDP the ruling party then ceded the Speakership position to the south west , ironically the south west reps from ACN aligned with some rebels in PDP to elect Tambuwal against the wishes of the party . That's different from now where the ruling party didn't zone any thing to the south east.

Speaker was zoned to SW but Tinubu instructed his block to go against the choice of PDP, a lady from Yoruba. Let's not turn history upside down. We are talking about a situation where a party decided to sideline a key group of the country.

. You made a very good point, IAM igbo and I support your argument but why end it with insult? Why has nairaland made educated people so miopic and parochial, we can all make our arguments without insulting each other, I don't actually believe we have gotten to this irredeemable level in this forum and country. May God help us all

I'm igbo but I concur with you on this. After all, Ekweremadu was DSP for eight years and the southeast and Enugu in particular has nothing to show for that. Even when OBJ was president for 8yrs, the Southwest didn't gain much, compared to the period 2011-2015 when they didn't have any one in the top 6.

How is it worrisome? How many Urhobo or Esan or Efik people are there in the top 6? Should every tribe also complain too?

Maybe only Igbo, Yoruba and Hausa people should pay tax in this country since people think everything must revolve around 3 ethnic groups out of hundreds.

Any Igbo person wailing about this top 6 position is an opportunist and potentially corrupt

Is it top 6 that will put food on anyone's table? Did they tell you people that any of those people in the corridors of power gives a hoot about the average Nigerian? People are looking for food to eat, y'all are concerned with nonsense politics that has never led to progress in Nigeria.

Is this country better off today than we were ten or twenty years ago? We are regressing into irrelevance in world politics and people are bothered with irrelevancies. What did Ekweramadu do for the advancement of the Igbo nation all that time he was DSP? Nothing.....yet, somebody is disturbing us about Igbos in the Top 6

What does it matter who is at the helm? It will only serve the person and his immediate family, none of those people care about the country and nothing they do will ever favor the country
All u av just wrote is rubbish
It is better for your tribe to be in power,so that u can checkmate other region
This Is not about food clothes or houses
It's about power
Imagine an Igbo person is in general buratai position
u see everything happening in Nigeria
This issue is very complex
Do u think those guys don't know what they are doing

You're right. But why is every saying Igbos played bad politics simply bcs the didn't vote APC.
I believe the Igbos should stick to PDP and wait till 2023. l don't see APC reigning after Buhari. Once PDP pick a young northern President candidate. The north will migrate.

The same way PDP picked Atiku and the deceptive north played the Ibos to believe that they are for Atiku but we saw Kano, Kaduna and katsina during the election

Shut up man!! Nigeria hates you when you dont get slots. During GEJ reign, SE had two slots from the top six; Nigeria didnt hate you then. When you were articulating, Nigeria didnt hate you but when the reality dawned on you, you are screaming blue murder like you are used to. Emotional, hypocritical and sentimental politics

Oh I have noticed you...now get outta here
