This write up made my morning

Did Igbos lose anything yesterday in Abuja?

Mbaaaaa!
Onweghi ihe anyi luzuru!( we didn't lose anything)
Onye no n'ala, anaghi atu ujo ada.

I really do not know what Igbo politicians were expecting. Those who were true to themselves saw what happened in Abuja on tuesday years ago.

I keep saying it. There is nothing you can do to belong where you are not wanted. There are two things; it's either you are too good for them, or you are too bad.

But, if after being the leader in every sector of Nigeria and you were razed down to the rubble, and without any sympathy, restitution or federal help you build yourself right back up. Adjudged the most developed part of Nigeria, educationally, economically and otherwise. Then you already know how bad you are.

Nigeria and indeed APC does not hate Igbos because we didn't vote for APC, if you had voted for APC, it wouldn't have changed anything. Trust me. There would be other reasons to deny you a seat at the table.

I said it before, Igbos do not play politics of slavery. We just don't know how to follow one Alhaji or one Baba blindly. We don't understand it.

It's funny that one of the basic human instinct is freedom, and yet you glorify yourself in being follow follow to people who are only better than you because they are opportuned and turn around to call the man who defines his own political paths and choices as "politically unaware".

And you are politically aware because?
One man sits in his house and decides who governs yours state, who becomes your representatives, your NASS leadership..... And tomorrow you want to stand and talk where I, a free man is talking.

No single Igbo man or woman was disappointed by the what happened, rather our point has been proven that Buhari and his government has nothing to offer. We have always been a people of self-help and that is how we rise and shine.
The only people who are disappointed are those few Igbo elements (the Orji Uzo Kalus and the Okorochas etc) who conveniently use the name of Ndi Igbo in the pursuit of their personal agenda. But will silently slither away when the Igbo nation needs a strong voice only to watch from a distance for the likes of Abaribe and Nnia Nwodo.

I've said it before. Igbos play a very different type of politics. We do not believe that one man is inherently better than everyone else. We do not believe that there is just that one man on whose head lies the responsibility to rule over everyone else. We are a Republican lot, and we believe in everyone's input.

No Buhari nor Tinubu can hold any sway in a place like Igbo land and that is why you see everyone on a race to be better and not line up in one man's house waiting for handouts. That is why we have remained the best in Waec, Jamb, University admissions, Graduating students in Medicine, Law and Engineering and numerous health and economic indices for years running.

Actually, sitting down and waiting for someone else to solve your problems for you has a way of diminishing/killing your own potentials (google "atrophy"wink. It's a natural law that a part of the body rarely used naturally does off. That's why some people's brain are no longer working.

We give opportunities only to those who deserve it. Buhari was never a good choice in 2015. And it would amount to lack of brain use to support again in 2019 something that didnt work in 2015.

So don't be disturbed when they say Igbos don't love themselves or don't know politics. If we will love ourselves by allowing people like Uzor Kalu or Okorocha to represent us as Igbos or allowing him run Imo by proxy, then we don't want to love ourselves. If we will know politics by voting for someone who doesn't understand equity, tolerance and national cohesion, then we don't want to know that politics yet.

We know you want to be free, to determine your own path and make your own political choices but you haven't gotten the balls yet.

As long as we haven't started trimming nails and doing maiguard for a living, we will still walk around with our shoulders very high knowing that we stood for something that you will not have to balls to stand for in many years to come.

I disagree with you sir. What igbos need is not positions but development. During goodluck era, igbos had almost all the juicy positions. Yet, none of them could improve the development of the region. Position are for personal enrichment sir. The fight should be about development not positions. I rest my case.

I wonder.
This is why I don't trust all these tribalistic noise makers.
This man should know better that when the Igbos refused to vote largelyly for APC they should expect this. The Six foremost positions are elective positions and not appointments and the igbos don't have the representation in both houses.
If PDP had won it would have favoured them.
So why is agbakoba worried.?
Selfish man that wants to be recognized seeking political appointment.

The same way PDP picked Atiku and the deceptive north played the Ibos to believe that they are for Atiku but we saw Kano, Kaduna and katsina during the election

Wrong.

We made it very clear from the start that Atiku was unelectable in the North, especially not against a personality like PMB, but you all didn't listen and were carrying on with belief you could divide Buharis votes. The only northerners behind him were those chasing his pockets.

Put Atiku on the ballot 1000 times and he will be rejected in the North 1000 times. Someone who didn't even care about the Boko Haram that was ravaging his own hometown Yola or the victims?

No wonder he lost the polling unit in front of his own house grin

Nigerians are daft. No love in Nigeria. We believe two wrongs make a right. Ok next time everyone vote for APC and let’s see what happens to our democracy. Plus we know the politics behind the SW getting excluded under GEJ. Speaker was zoned to SW but the SW wanted more and somehow Tambuwal won. The same APC was saying NASS leadership shouldn’t be influenced by parties.
Re: Non-inclusion Of Igbo Man In First Six National Position Worrisome– Agbakoba by jumobi1(m): 10:53am On Jun 14, 2019
APC is basically saying next time everyone should vote APC. That’ll be the end of democracy in Nigeria.

The SW is the major beneficiary of the unbalanced distribution of the top six posts in the country. Out of the posts they got both the vice presidency and house speakership. No other region got more than one. The SE on the other hand got none. I suggest APC gives them either senate majority leader or majority leader in the house of reps
we are reaping where will sowed

Chief Olisa Agbakoba (SAN), a former President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) on Wednesday has described as worrisome that no South Easterner is occupying any position in the first six political offices in the current administration.

President Muhammadu Buhari is from the North-Central while Vice- President Yemi Osinbajo is from the South- West. Ahmad Lawan, Senate President is from the North- East while Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila the Speaker of the House of Reps is from the South- West.

Justice Tanko Mohammed the Acting Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) is from the North- Eastern state of Bauchi while Senator Ovie Omo- Agege the Deputy Senate President is from the South- South geopolitical zone.

He also said the President Muhammadu Buhari’s speech on Democracy Day was not inspiring though it gave him a slight ray of hope.

“I was not inspired because it was not the kind of speech that I expected. I expected a foundation laying speech; meaning that if you are building a house, you find a deal with foundation issues. I think Nigeria lacks the foundation and the fact that for instance, if you look at the first six highest political offices in Nigeria and there is no Igbo man is worrying which the President hopes to achieve development and success”.

“I was hoping to hear a speech that focuses on the need for a strong, united Nigeria. I didn’t hear that. Notwithstanding, what I hear gives me a slight ray of hope. I was impressed with the issue of lifting 100 million people out of poverty in 10 years”.

“I was impressed with the fact that there will be strong men to do the job. So, what I am looking at now is to watch out for the next few days to see the kinds of people that will be appointed to drive the ship of state” he said.

That is how Enugu was pampered when coal was a hot cake, but the good thing about Enugu is that they made judicious use of their resources because regionalism was practiced during that time , that's why despite more than half of a century Enugu stopped being the capital of Eastern region, it was still named among the most resilient cities in the world alongside with Paris..

The problem now is what's the fate of oil producing communities if Oil becomes worthless like coal which is inevitable by next 25-30 yrs?
No land for agriculture which has been contaminated with oil
No more oil revenue .
The water is also polluted

Those that are always quick to type "SS" are only being Mischievous.
Nigeria never loved the region SS and every living thing in it which has been proven by history over and over again. The only thing important to Nigeria is what is flowing underground in the region called SS .
