Why do flight fares in western nation cheaper than Let me say africa countries?
And also allowing some set of countries to use smart system checkpoint is prefential treatment. angry

I don't think is preferential treatment.

The smart gate is used mostly by people who don't need a Visa to enter the United Kingdom.

These includes British Passport Holders, European Passport Holders, U.S. Passport Holders, Canadian Passport Holders & Australian Passport Holders.

This helps to facilitate their entry into the United Kingdom without much delay.

Most of our African leaders are selfish and greedy.

I remember by days of traveling with naija passport. There was a time I was singled out by a border official in Paris CDG airport. I was almost stripped search. They said I look suspicious. Naija passport holders have little respect in foreign countries.

Yeah,

You're right.

Individuals with disabilities, Parents with little kids as well as Active Military Personnel are given priority in any given flight & are usually the first to board before flight departure together with Business Ticket Holders as well as First Class Ticket Holders.
True.
Enjoy your holidays wink

This is not a good testimony, and there is little or nothing we can do about it.

I’m finally departing London after spending a day.

Already checked out of my Hotel & currently on my way to Heathrow Airport to catch my connecting flight to Abu Dhabi.

Currently at Heathrow Airport and getting ready to board to Abu Dhabi.

London was very nice albeit very cold. More like a mini New York City. Riding the Underground was a little confusing & I got lost twice but eventually found my way back to the hotel.

Having lived in New York City, everything seemed somewhat smaller in London including the shops, apartments etc

Also I didn't know it gets dark around 4:30 PM in London.

The darkness messed up quite a few of my plans.

Finally, I’m in Abu Dhabi.

We cleared Passport Control & proceeded to Baggage reclaim to pick up our Baggage.

One of my Baggage is missing. At the Airport in London, I checked in Three Baggages but can only find two Baggages here in Abu Dhabi.

My Baggage was reported missing & a claim was filed. Etihad Airways has promised to locate my Baggage within 48 hours before I depart Abu Dhabi.

I’ll keep my fingers crossed.

Booked a Taxi to my Hotel located at West Corniche.

I’m staying at the Jumeirah at Etihad Towers.

It costs about 100 AED from Abu Dhabi Airport to Jumeirah at Etihad Towers

The Jumeirah at Etihad Towers is one of the most beautiful hotels I’ve ever stay at.

When booking request for the Executive Club Lounge Access as well as Sea View.

It’s very nice here albeit expensive.

My room is located on the 44th floor.

I hope so too.

They informed me that the Baggage is currently in Abu Dhabi maybe it was mistakenly sent to a different carrousel and would be located within 48 hours & dispatched my hotel.

Screenings has been completed by the Transportation Security Administration {TSA} & I'm now at the Main Terminal.

I still have roughly about three hours left before my Flight Departs to London.

Where do you exchange your foreign currencies to AED?

I exchanged about $150 at the Airport Kiosk & received only about 496 AED after charges were deducted.

I kinda feel like the exchange rate was too low.

I was offered $1= 3.59 AED

There are so many money exchange centre within the city, you can check in the banks, malls etc.
The official rate is 3.66 or 3.67.

It's not about carrying a Nigerian passport, I think we shouldn't exclude the racial element to it. I carry a British passport and my experience when travelling back to the UK via Qatar was the same as yours. I was singled out in full glare of a multitude of other passengers in Qatar for a thorough manual check. The only reason I can conclude is simply the racial one.
